Will last gen be left behind? Bungie help!
One of my friends was 'kind' enough to tell me that Xbox 360 and PS3 won't feature any of the expansions after TTK. That stinks, because I have 175 gigabytes left in storage space on my console.
Is this true? I'm considering upgrading to next gen next year. I want to make my 360 last as long as it can.
I want a Bungie employee or BNG_Help officer to answer.
EDIT: Never thought it would get this attention. Most of you guys are like "Screw you last gen owners," but still... I have 360, and want a PS4 so badly so I can play with my friends. But I don't want to start over.
EDIT 2: Wow! 200+ replies! I'm not missing out on anything in last gen. "I think I'll upgrade because of the curved HUD."
EDIT 3: 500+ replies. I haven't gotten a straight answer yet though. I just keep getting salt because I'm a last gen owner. Keep the salt shaking!

... you gotta realize it's no longer next gen.. it's current gen.. that 360 software you're playing on is over 10 years old. Move on and get rid of last gen.

While I know my opinion isn't shared by everyone I wish that all companies would finally make that call. Part of the reason so many games are laggy messes are due to the fact that the community is split 4 way BEFORE any DLC comes into play.

Most devs are leaving last gen behind. Ubisoft already announced that none of their AAA franchises will support last gen anymore and others are doing the same. Its about time. PS3 and XBOX360 came out NINE years ago. Imagine a PC that was nine years old and had never been upgraded. In computing terms, its a dinosaur and I can see why devs don't want to support them anymore.

I'll hold out as long as humanly possible. I find it to be beyond insulting that ps4 players have to pay a subscription fee to enjoy multiplayer content that does not utilize Sony servers.

Buy an Xbox one you won't regret it. If I where you try to get a 1 tb one because 500 gbs isn't enough.

I already have a PS3 that I don't have to pay in order to access online play. If I were to upgrade to PS4 I would have to pay $460 ish in order to get it and Destiny. I would also have to pay for online play. It's more logical to stay where I am for now. I'm willing to bet that there are a lot of other people in the same boat as me.

I think that maybe the next to big expansions will be available to last Gen but the huge one that releases next fall will not

I hope not. Not because I'm a dick or elitist, but it's about time they left last-gen behind. It's holding the experience back for current gen owners. And I get that money can be tight but xbones and ps4's have been out for a couple of years now......

I haven't heard this officially announced yet, but the odds are good that it will happen eventually. As far as switching from 360 to Ps4, I believe you have to start over anyway if you switch companies, but don't quote me on that.

I work as well, that's how I had the [i]money[/i] to [i]buy[/i] my [i]current gen[/i] console, only to have games held back by late adopters or poor people. Look at Arkham Knight, took more power to render the bat mobile on screen than it took to run an entire Arkham game on 360. Sure, Shadows of Mordor is both as well, but last gen missed out on the Nemesis System, which was the only reason I bought it. And black ops 3 campaign apparently can't even run on those toaster consoles, so you guys only get multiplayer. [b]If[/b] you have a job, upgrade dude... Treat yourself, and help the cause of games not being shit because they're on last AND current gen.

Nows the time to start over if ever was a time. Like a soft reset. If you have the funds shia said best "just do it!". I have a great job, a house, 2 cars and 4 kids. Tax money is great for buying game stuff. But having a well put together budget and good money sense it what really works. If you're still a kid, better get on that yard mowing.
