Why is Ir Yût, the Deathsinger back, in The Taken King?

If you do the mission "Last Rites" on the Moon, once you get to Crota's chamber where Crota once stood as you slew him and you look into the Crystal room where Ir Yût once was, she's STILL THERE floating around. Why? I thought we killed that w(b)itch.

We only killed her physical form. The Hive Ascendant Realm is for their "souls" which means they don't technically die. "Whatever you kill, Oryx will replace." It's along those same lines. Anything that is Ascendant can technically be "killed" but cannot "die".
