Why do people still use op year 1 weapons?
So, every game, there is that one guy who has a matador or a messenger. Why?
Is it because you are not good enough to succeed with new, balanced weapons?
Before people say I'm jealous or whatever, I have a matador, BTRD and lots more.
Imo, people who do this ruin what would otherwise be a great pvp experience.

Edit: I seem to have worded this badly. I don't care if people use ldr invectives etc. I am only complaining about things such as the matador and messenger that are still op.
Edit 2: lol so much hate. Never done this before it's really fun.
Edit 3: wow this has really taken off! As suggested in a comment, I will suggest an alternative to some of the weapons I'm complaining about:
Messenger- red death, similar RoF/Impact but with slightly more recoil. Will work well in IB next week.
Shotgun: the new monarchy vendor version is a beast
Edit 4: woah! 730 replies. This is quite interesting, at the moment I'd say it's about 50:50 between agreement and hate

4 OdpowiedziI don't understand why that would bother anybody. If somebody blasted you on your back with a Felwinters or a Found Verdict, they could've just as easily did it with one of the new shottys. Seems like everybody here has an issue with any weapon that kills them in pvp. It's silly.

I use whatever weapons I am most comfortable playing with. I'm trying to find Y2 replacements for higher light PVP activities. So far, Conspiracy Theory seems to be a great substitute for Felwinter, and the new raid MG replaces BTRD and Jolder's Hammer.

Pretty much every single pulse is basically the same whether it is year one OR year two. Year two pulses act basically exactly the damn same as the messenger. So who cares if they use a pulse with just a different name.

Because on a balanced playing field (what little of that actually remains in Destiny's PVP), they can't play worth a damn and possess no actual skill or strategy when approaching an enemy player. They must rely on weapons from an awful era in Destiny's PVP in order to carry them to victory, as cheap as that victory really is. It will matter little when the real competition starts with the Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris begins.

3 OdpowiedziSo they didn't ruin the experience when it was still year 1? Sounds dumb when I point it that way doesn't it. Only gun I still use is a MIDA. I haven't found a scout rifle that handles better.
