To all you raid elitist
Wanted to do the raid today.
I'm a day one player. Playing a little catch up but wanted to join a raid team.
Goto the lfg here and all I see for miles is, need to be this and need to have that.
Need to have experience and need to be 297 or 301 or need a sniper and be 293.
We'll you didn't have all this shit your first time so why all the assholes?
I'll be watching football.
Can't wait for fallout 4.
Edit. Regardless of my level. My point being it's just like reading lfg when all the elite was crying for 6 gallies to run crota.
Edit: was never looking to be carried.
Didn't know it was a 280 290 300 system.

You genuinely need a sniper rifle for the raid, no question about that. There are four DPS checks so secondaries are used most often. Two of these checks take next to zero from body shots, so fusion rifles are out of the question, and too long ranged for a shotgun. However anything close to 285 light can do the raid in my experience.

Of course you can, i don't require you to be an expert to join my team. Now the new ttk raid, I need some help... but I just got kick from a fireteam because I don't have experience, I don't have emblem to show them. My light is 294, you require sniper? I have it. You require mic? I have it. Now what else do you require... experience. I have watch through one and a half hour walk through king fall game play. Its was that easy... but why are they refuse to help inexperienced player. I gave up raid now and will move to halo when it drop.

Am a 307 titan, 298 titan and now a 297 warlock. I did the raid on my warlock when i was 286. Most people who post must have beaten the raid before, must be light level 295+. I tend to ignore. I've beaten this raid loads of times, and i tend to help new players get through it. Give advice, share knowledge and all that. Sad thing is, i get a lot of messages from people who need help, but i can't help all. Someone should set up a group for raid levels, where higher levels who have time can take one or two through a raid with them, show them an teach them what to do. And when they get a higher light level. They pay it forward and help some lower levels out and so on.. But lets face it, there is a lot of selfish one sided people about. They only care about there own gains. Recommended light level is 290. I think hitting the raid as a 285+ would be acceptable. Even if it is the first couple of boss fights just to help them get gear. Just ignore all the crap posts. If people think being a high light level makes them good, more fool them. It means nothing.. Skill will always be better. Good luck guys. 0/

This has happened since forever. In WoW the same thing happens for most pugs post week 1. Link achieve! Sure people can relate to that line...in Destiny it will be change portrait to Kingsbane. I would recommend using destinyLFG and posting you are willing to learn and listen, but beyond that, you need to watch the fights. Do your part and be prepared. If you have 5 other buddies and you all want to run the raid, then it would be a progression run.

People play the raids repeatedly out of necessity (given the stingy loot odds) and claim to enjoy it but its not really true (After the first few times the novelty wears off) In a sense all those requirements just show that they just want to be done with it ASAP to get the loot they want and move on. Having an inexperienced or under leveled player throws the raids balance firmly into the chore territory and its jut not fun for most. Optional matchmaking might help but Bungie doesn't seem interested in cutting out the middlemen LFG sites with an in game solution.

CarbonPanda to the rescue! It may not seem like much, but I'd be willing to run fresh raids with fresh players that haven't done the raid yet. And I'm talking- you're a good player that doesn't stress when the goal is in sight. All I ask is that you be ready with a decent light level of 285 or so and a really good sniper. Now if we really get this thread going don't be mad if I kick you. I promise to be patient and give you all the training I can effectively, but if you're not getting it and the whole group can tell, I'm going to be as respectful as I can about it and I hope you will be too. Practice up and we can try later. I know that we can beat the raid up to sisters no problem. But we won't grind forever on oryx. Try several times and still show you how to do it and everything. Let the raiding begin for this upcoming week.

I won't use LFG's I want optional matchmaking for everything including a solo option on all suitable strikes/ missions. Oh, and Bungie, fix the Crucible it's -blam!-ing broke !!! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>FIX the PvP LA~~G !!!<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

There were plenty of times I went into LFG for raid groups, actively looking for a good one myself, where people posted they wanted "experienced people" with "good guns". There were lots I went with that put out that criteria but didn't live up to it themselves, so if we got into Crota or the VoG and people kept causing wipes, I'd start bitching loudly that there was no excuse for a raid taking over an hour and a half because I demanded efficiency out of a group that claimed they were good. Point of the story is, just because people post things like that, wanting those things, doesn't mean they fit that classification themselves; saw it plenty of times, in both pve and the crucible.

Join 100.io it's awesome - I'm happy to set up a raid party (with Sherpa if you need) keep a spot reserved for you and invite you in. They have their group of people they run stuff with and very rarely rely on outside help. And if they do...they don't require you to do anything other then be appropriately geared and decently skilled in the game, cause in all honesty, it doesn't take much more than that and "elitists" know that. The game isn't a challenge, compared to other games, it just takes decent execution and even mistakes are forgiven plenty in the Kings Fall. Do Snipers help? Sure they do...are they neccesarry? No and "elitists" know that, so they won't require it, unless they are not confident in their own DPS. The few elitists that are douchy in LFG topics are the ones, who are just sick of people "pretending" to be decently skilled and in the end, they suck major ass and drag down the whole raid, causing wipes left and right on things, that could be done first try easily. Just today a member of my raid group and me helped out some other people in the raid. We started at the deathsinger CP and since I already did the raid on 2 characters, I brought my third, so I could at least get something out of it, other than helping. My third char is "just" 290...and oh my god...did some of them give me shit about it...well we ended up wiping to the deathsingers for around 50 minutes, cause half of them were incapable of jumping, or taking forever to get to the relic. Since on wipes you can see who did what amount of dmg on each deathsinger...I wasn't surprised to see that my raid buddy and me were on 300k+ PER deathsinger, while the rest was crapping around 150-180k...and I never failed jumping if I was chosen by RNG. Then on Oryx one guy had to leave and they brought another one of their friends who joined and right the second he came in, he was yelling in voice chat "who is using a touch of malice on oryx, it's useless". That person being me...I told him, if he doesn't have a clue about my weapon setup, he should shut up. I'm using the Touch of Malice for small time adds only and while in the aura of immortality, for the Vessel I got my shotgun and for the ogres and the echo phase I got my heavy mashine gun. And tbh, I would have used my Pulse Rifle for Oryx, if I would have been confident in them doing enough damage to stagger Oryx w/o my buddies and mine Malices' dmg. And oh what a great surprise...the same guy who gave me shit about the Malice was the one yelling for a WoL titan bubble to stagger Oryx and he actually had the nerve to tell us, who cleared the raid countless times already, that WoL is NECCESARRY...f'ing scrub. Not to mention that even if my buddy and my platform were the 3rd and 4th one to jump on, our Ogres usually died before the 1st and 2nd...which is just sad, but then again, they never helped each other out, the 2nd platform shooting on the ogre of the 1st etc. So go figure. People like him are the ones you make out to be elitists, but they are not, they are just dumb idiots who have no clue and the elitists who actually are elitists, "like me", don't give a shit about your lightlvl as long as it's enough to do dmg and you can play well, that is more important than anything. But the problem with that is...there are way more people out there who have decent gear and lightlvl, but suck at playing the game, than people who actually play well. People just don't get that one has nothing to do with the other, but requiring gear and lightlvl makes the "odds" of having a decent player at hand at least somewhat higher, even though not high enough to count on it.

I'll help any body bud but a light lvl of 279 is as much use as a chocolate fire guard as its recommend at 290. At least get to that before you complain mate.

There is a bunch of A holes that leave the raid instantly when they hear it is someone's first time. They act like this is the hardest thing to do. Well it aint shit really just have to work together.

You haven't got a point if you haven't reached a good enough level to do the raid don't be disappointed when people don't want you in there team.also I doesn't take that long to get to 295.and if you haven't accomplished that your never gonna do the raid.FIFA for you boy.
