To all you raid elitist
Wanted to do the raid today.
I'm a day one player. Playing a little catch up but wanted to join a raid team.
Goto the lfg here and all I see for miles is, need to be this and need to have that.
Need to have experience and need to be 297 or 301 or need a sniper and be 293.
We'll you didn't have all this shit your first time so why all the assholes?
I'll be watching football.
Can't wait for fallout 4.
Edit. Regardless of my level. My point being it's just like reading lfg when all the elite was crying for 6 gallies to run crota.
Edit: was never looking to be carried.
Didn't know it was a 280 290 300 system.

3 OdpowiedziI'm on ps4 add me I can take you through. I've never beat the final boss but I know what to do with the rest. I think what the "elitist" should say is have an idea of what to do (have watched YouTube videos) that's all I would ask.

1 OdpowiedźThe problem is your behind the community. Find a group with similar experience. I see "first time" groups every time I hop on to find a group. Unless you seriously are looking to be carried you should be able to find groups. And I'd like to add that I deliberately didn't do oryx week one because I hadn't found a snipe yet and I was a deadweight.

The new raid isn't hard, as long as you have a team that can perform very basic tasks in a specific order and have the ability to throw out a little damage as well. Don't forget those basic jumping skills... That being said, recommend light is 290, getting to 290 (not at all difficult) should be your first step. [spoiler]Don't be surprised if you aren't invited with open arms into a raid group when you don't even put in the effort to hit 290[/spoiler]. Also, people are asking for snipers because the majority of the raid bosses require high DPS weapons (a role a sniper rifle fills well) snipers drop all the time, even rare quality snipers in the 290+ range will easily suffice. On your way to 290 light you'll probably throw 4 or 5 of them away and if you don't then you can take the 30 "give away" marks a day and buy one from the vendors in a few days time. Until you are of recommended light level, you honestly have no right to complain about elitists, if anything all you're showing is that your too lazy to put the time in to get to even the most basic of light level to raid and are asking for a full backpack through the raid. If you were 290+ and had the most basic of necessities for raid completion then I could definitely understand your point. As there are quite a few people out there that only want guardians 300+ with 310 weapons to raid with. What you're complaining about however is akin to not being drafted into the NFL because they don't see your potential even though you only play flag football on Saturdays.

You need a sniper for 3 of the boss battles. Nothing else will do.

Well some arnt elitist they just want to finish it fast and not spend a hour on golgeroth like after school I try the raid but I have to fence in 2 hours so I need it done fast that's why I ask that you know what you are doing

1 OdpowiedźIf you're xbone hit me up Wednesday night after 8 pm eastern. I usually don't raid until Friday or Saturday with my normal group but I'd usually be up for running it on an alt that night and can often pull one or two more players.

Recommended is 290 light. At least get there before you complain that people won't accept you. Of course people didn't require experience and 295+ at the beginning because there were far fewer people who met those requirements. That being said, there's still plenty of people who will carry 280s, and some who will carry 270s.

Realize it's two weeks after the raid was beaten and we already have experts! Got to love people... Play Court of Oryx and get a higher light. Make friends and enjoy the game. The Raid is work and the gear looks, well, see for yourself! I was in one of the first teams to start the raid. I quit at the first boss. More important things to do that day. Haven't been back. It has to last a year. I am in no rush. Take your time. Once the Raid is done, there is little else to do that is new! Good luck...

Dude your 279 you should at least be 290 for the raid and a sniper is almost needed play the strikes a little more before you go 280 is acceptable till after war priest

Ill im going to ask. Is if your a day one player, and im not calling that into question at all, then why is this a issue NOW. You shouldve been used to this type of thing from y1. Vault of glass: 29+ must know strats, no squeekers Crotas end: must be 32, must have gally, need 1 sword runner(cuz im a loser and cant myself), and no squeekers 35 POE: must be 34, must know the strats(burn of the week) must not be a squeeker Trials: must be 34, must not be a scrub, must have 365 thorn, last word, and skillz. Must have been flawless on 4 gaurdiens a week since HoW launch. O and one more thing.... No squeekers. Thats nothing new dude. If you need a raid group on xbox one hit me up. Got a clan of dudes that have fun in raids and dont take the shit so seriously.

I am willing to teach new people the raid mechanics but I have run into too many dumbasses that are incapable of learning. Literally spent 1.5 hours on the death singers and I still had a guy who didn't know how to run the relic. It's people like that who ruin it for others. Take responsibility and don't be a dumbass. At least try to learn something. Ask questions if you don't get it.
