Would PvP Be Better Without Shotguns?
I have always felt like weapons such as shotguns and swords should never be starting weapons because they are too easy to kill with and are weapons that cause frustration which in turn makes multiplayer less fun and addicting IMO.
So whats your guys opinion?

No Supers, no double jump, NOTHING can be upgraded only "white" weapons with no perks. These guys had a blast and the video is a blast to watch. Here is the link....... Nope I love shotguns, they activate my force barrier. Much better then swinging ma trex arms.

I've never found any problems with shotguns. Sometimes it'll get irritating but at that point maybe you should change your approach. Obviously I'm any fps you should never rush. One thing I love about Destiny it's impossible to camp and because of this it makes shotties and snipers a non issue. If you think it's possible to camp you simply suck ass.

Just don't make them one shots. Like they drop you to a third of health then you have to beat them down. Like a really close range plasma pistol in halo. If you know what I mean.

Maybe starting with no secondary ammo would help....the only way to get secondary ammo could be to get kills with ur primary?

It would be nice if people did not use their shotgun more than their primary. I prefer to have more primary on primary gunfights myself.

Shotguns are so -blam!-ing fun though? Have you ever slid into a group of maybe 3 guys and before you died you managed to kill 2 of them?! It's so damn fun to run shotgun! At least Felwinters Lie has been missing... For a while...

Shotguns are fun. If they didn't have shotguns I probably wouldn't play. Close quarters is just my style, I like the extreme maneuvering, the outmaneuvering of the other player and the incredible -blam!-ing game play that ensues in a close quarters battle with 3 or 4 5 or 6 dudes. Doesn't anybody remember playing the original destiny? It was called halo and that's what the game was about. Multiplayer. Extreme close quarters combat with extreme maneuverability and insane -blam!-ing moves. You to run up to shotgun a guy in the face and before you knew it he was shoving a sword up your asshole. It was so impressive you didn't even mind dying it was like holy -blam!- I hope I can do that one day. Obviously score doesn't matter much to me, the most interesting thing in crucible or any multiplayer playlist is the incredible plays somebody can make doing some crazy shit. I have pulled some wicked -blam!-ing crazy stuff in the past, especially in Halo 3. I remember sitting down to roll one during a lone wolf match and after two and a half or 3 minutes I jump back in and destroyed every mother -blam!-er in the list. That was like 8 years ago and I still love it

When did you played pvp last time? Shotguns is old news. Pulse are the new meta. Pulse rifles everywhere

It will never, EVER, happen, but in this guy's opinion..... Yes. Shotguns are one of the main reasons I tend to stay away a lot of the time from PvP. I would enjoy the Crucible MUCH more if Shotguns and Heavy were removed. I think I hate Heavy the most though.

I think all shotguns should be more like chaperone. Getting body shotted from ridiculous ranges is the only thing that frustrates me.

They just need to behave like Halos shotgun. Best example of game archetype shotgun right there. Melee range OHK kill, 2 or 3 hit outside that.

17 OdpowiedziDestiny has a shotgun spamming problem that other games don't because of map design problems. Not because shotguns are an inherent problem. Half of the maps you play have us running around inside of buildings and narrorw hallways with lots of blind courners. Plus the TTK in Destiny is long compared to other shooters. So shotgunners are free to run around...and not really have to respect primary weapon fire. Case in point, last night. Was playing on Vertigo, and I took on a shotgun rusher who rounded a corner about 50 yds away in terms of end-game distance. I started hitting him with headshots the moment I saw him. What did he do? HE JUST IGNORED THE FIRE HE WAS TAKING....RAN THROUGH THE HEADSHOTS.... ...and one-shotted me with The Fourth Horseman. Any other shooter I've played, that guy would have been dead before he managed to close HALF the distance. Nevermind survive it to deliver a kill shot. That's Destiny's "shotgun problem" in a nutshell.

I guess everyone thinks pre aiming a door way with a sniper is camping..... Instead of raging, be less predictable and you wont have that problem
