Is touch of malice worth the effort?
I started farming the fragments and thought to myself
"I'm going do all this work, and never use this gun"
Is it really worth it? I went through the collecting every exotic first year for no reason and I don't want to do it again. Would rather use the guns I like. But if touch of malice is amazing, maybe I should.
Edit 1: y'all got me convinced. Anyone want to fragment farm with me? Or help me get the last 20 :)?

Edit three: to all of y'all saying yes, just putting it out there that the first 800 of you convinced me already ;)

Not really. There's only two parts in the raid where it's actually useful, and even then it's only a scout rifle so a sniper could probably do better. It's really just a cool gun to have and that's it.

My group (everyone with a ToM) were able to take down atheon on the first run using only the gun. I also have clips on xbox to prove

You may as well, no reason not to if you are playing the game anyway. But don't listen to these people saying it is going to be the new Gally. They have no idea. It doesn't do much more damage than someone who is good with a sniper and a scout rifle. And they don't know what the hard mode mechanics are going to be, so they have no idea.

Looking back at the end of year 2, you have to think collecting 50 fragments would be a check in the block if they do year 2 moments of triumph. Might as well do it now and get a good raid weapon along the way

it's not except for maybe Oryx so you effectively never have to use heavy or sniper except for the Shade and Ogres.

I'm two calcified fragments away from the final step! Getting my charged Agonarch Rune today and then once the Court of Oryx T3 resets, I will get the last one I need for the quest to pop. It's been a long, long journey and it better be worth it

If you plan on doing the hard raid, yes. It's going to be the new gally for it. If you're not much of a raider hell no. I've got it. Way too many better choices for that slot. Zhalo sais hi.
