In case you all didn't know, a Sunbreaker can survive the following things while supering:
-High-Impact Sniper Headshot
-High-Impact Shotgun/Melee Combo
-Direct Rocket Hit
-Golden Gun Shot
-Two Blade Dance Swings
-Two Sword Hits
Compared to the other three "drain-over-time" supers, the armor on the Sunbreaker super totally outclasses all of them. I really don't get how it's fair.
I've heard it said that the balance of the Sunbreaker class is its low mobility. This is completely ludicrous. Titans using the "Increased Control Skate" method can literally catch up to any other class trying to run away.
I've also heard it said that Hammer of Sol is hard to hit people with. Again, completely false. Unless you're a n00b who doesn't know how to aim, all you have to do is enable tracking hammers, and the ridiculous aim assist and splash damage will take care of the rest. You don't even have to completely hit someone with the hammer for them to die.

So go ahead. Tell me how all this is fair. Simply saying is fair because it's apparently the "tank class" doesn't cut it (Bungie really hasn't created each class for a purpose like that). I'll reiterate. SAYING TITANS ARE THE SO-CALLED "TANK" CLASS IS NOT A GOOD ARGUMENT. If Destiny is set up to have the three traditional MMO classes, why aren't Hunters the fastest by far? Why isn't Warlock recovery near-instantaneous? Besides, in every other game I've ever played, a "Tank" can not deal out damage as fast as other classes. Titans get the best of both worlds- highest armor, quickest movement speed, and the best total-damage super in the game.

The armor would be fair if movement speed was considerably lowered mid super. Now trying to explain how instant health regen on a mid range duration super is fair is a whole other question.

1 OdpowiedźSo, who forgot about the ram helmet? How was another class with high recovery allowed to have more armour than a titan? Where was the balance there? Bring the peregrine greave back and I'll challenge sunbreakers all day long.

The armor is perfectly fair if the Titan was slow. What is unfair is how fast the Titan is. The Titan wouldn't be that OP if you could easily run away from him

2 OdpowiedziI've personally one shot a sunbreaker with my 1000 yard stare and golden gun. I think they were ninja nerfed. Their area of effect for hammers is not as big as it used to be either. And for some reason they hammers don't track. Hammers are fair. Should only be 4 hammers tho and not more unless have exotic armor.

12 OdpowiedziTitans are supposed to have the highest armor, so I think it's fine if they survive a sniper headshot, shotgun, even rocket. I think, however, that supers should a one shot one kill sort of deal, no matter what. My biggest thing about the hammers is the area of affect. I'm constantly being killed around corners and behind walls by them.

The wedge cases of sunbreakers surviving things that should kill them hinge around use of the armor that gives extra armor for x element subclass. People seem to ignore that these perks were introduced in this expansion as well and if they hadn't the armor wouldn't be an issue. I think reducing sunbreaker armor is a decent solution if not overdone, but another solution you could take is changing those armor perks to only apply to minions of the darkness. Adding extra armor has always been more overpowered in crucible than in pve. Ram complaints of yesteryear come to mind.

Warlock is good where it is at. Hunters can use a small buff for bd.

This is only if they have max armor and a chest with more armor for solar subclass (I don't have a chest, so I experience the one-shots)

To be honest sunbreakers sucked in trials didn't run with one and destroyed everyone we played, we also had atleast 1-2 nightstalker a wrecked on defensive super play, no need for aggressive super play just makes it easier for the opposite team

I didnt read all that text, but did you know that sunbreakers will only survive those IF and ONLY IF they are specced for max armor?
