Which sword damage type did you pick? and why?
Just curious to see what everyone picked, i'm almost ready to get mine, but I am having trouble deciding what damage type to get so just wanted to gather a few general opinions from everyone :)
Hope everyone is enjoying TTK!

Arc: mid-damaging mid range attack Void: Close range Aoe attack high damage Solar: Close range single target attack crazy damage Imo solar is the best because I'm more of a single target and major clearing type but they're all good but arc and void are kind of weak compared to solar

I have all 3 bit the solar exo is the best. 4-5 Hits on a psion boss at the dust palace strike and good is.

I picked arc because of two reasons 1: warlock subclass 2: I wanted the ranged attack

Have all of them... And their exotic counter parts, but if you want the most Damage, pick solar

While it is true that most enemies are of the solar or arc variant, the raze lighter (solar sword) beats the other two in raw damage. Look at the dust palace strike on Mars, the three flayers that serve as the bosses at the end, even on the nightfall, only last about 5-6 hits with the Phoenix uppercut ability. That is 25-30 of your sword ammo, which if you are holding the maximum amount, is just under one third of your maximum sword ammo capacity. Now at first glance this may seem like a lot, but with the given fact that at least 1-3 enemies on a normal basis drops heavy ammo, that could easily fill you up halfway again in sword ammo, which means another 8 Phoenix uppercuts. This means you can easily wipe out all three flayers with your exotic raze lighter. While bolt caster has range, and dark drinker has that cool whirlwind ability, they don't even compare to raze lighter's damage. Be smart about it and go with raze lighter.

For the amount of people that voted void, I see A LOT more of Solar swords.

2 OdpowiedziDepends on the character, bear in mind that you'll need to get ability kills with it, so choosing the void one if u a titan is not a smart choice! Me: Titan, solar one Warlock, void Hunter, arc
