Edited out my original post because these two people said what I was trying to say a lot better.
Edit- I really like this reply by teacup_titan
Of course there's something wrong with them charging 20 USD for cosmetic items, but you shouldn't call the people who buy them "tools".
Explain that overpriced content has an affect on the industry of gaming overall. If sales are great enough then more companies will think its fine to overcharge for these types of items.
To all whom are replying angrily, no one is telling you how to spend your money, just be wary that your actions are not in an isolated bubble. They affect more than just you, believe it or not.
Edit- Another great post by Critical Gamerr
The whole point of this thread that OP has poorly tried to express, is that these type of micro transactions Bungie are starting to implement here and there are just the beginning.
If you enjoy micro transactions, then sure, be my guest and buy them all.
If you don't enjoy micro transaction, then sure, also be my guest and buy them all.
Just don't turn around later and complain that the price of the next dance emotes has doubled, or that the Gjallarhorn 2 is only available to those who
throw money at the screen
Even though you may enjoy the dance moves and find entertainment through it, if you are like me or OP who would prefer that these type of business practices stay out of destiny altogether, then please, think twice about buying them.
OP take note, calling people tools will cause them to not read your content, only hate on you. Learn from your mistake.

Anyone who complains about micro transactions haven't played any F2P games...micro transactions were put long before destiny and aren't going away anytime soon. People have the option to spend extra money to get stuff they want. Bungie isn't forcing anyone to buy anything. If you don't care about some extra emotes....don't buy the CE. Making a post about it is kind of pointless.

TEN OUT OF TEN BEST POST I HAVE SEEN IN A LONG TIME THIS MAN SPEAKS THE TRUTH

1 OdpowiedźYou should edit your title. By using offensive language, you just encourage others to stoop down to your level and use offensive language instead of reason. It's a good thing you edited it with Critical Gamerr's reply. That one got your point across more.

I'm booting anyone with new dance moves. Fkin tools .

1 OdpowiedźEdytowany przez użytkownika ProjectRahman: 9/13/2015 4:53:18 AMI agree 100% man. That's why I bought the $80 collectors edition despite the fact I own a copy and both DLCs.

1 OdpowiedźJust look at Grand theft auto!!! The FREE DLCS just keep coming out! Did you catch that... FREE DLC!!!!

Edytowany przez użytkownika Coyote_x_Starrk: 9/13/2015 5:05:35 AMThis guy knows whats up. I made a similar thread because I was fed up with this shit. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/153269364/0/0

Yeah, but I'm one of the better, cooler tools. Like the wrench in Bioshock.

1 Odpowiedź"People are tools if they pay $20 for a bunch of emotes and class items!!!" <OP's Logic Meanwhile, people pay up to $30 for a single skin in League of Legends, and up to $40 for a Mount in World of Warcraft. Cya nerd.

Nice post, my friend bought collectors editio and we do the share xbox thing so I got them for free, which is what should have happened with the class armor and what not in the first place, should have been in the game to begin with, not be included in shitty marketing schemes because a company is filled with greedy asshats.
-
Meh... Why should I care about an industry that's failing because its consumers are a bunch of hipsters that never grew up?

what?
I CANT HEAR YOU OVER MY HAMMER DANCE
I'm a mechanic and I love tools.

1 OdpowiedźMy favorite (fast food) burger is the double double from in n out. Excellent for its price!
-
Can't remember where I saw this but some where out there is a burger that costs $2000.
-
2 OdpowiedziI know someone whose birthday is coming up and they never bought destiny so I bought the collectors edition so I can give them the disk and keep the new stuff for myself but I don't get why people are tools for buying that stuff. People pay a lot more for WoW mounts and pets and it's just one virtual item. So how is this any different? I would prefer that if you bought the emotes you are qualified for any other emote they release for free.
-
I preordered the physical collector's edition and received the emotes for 'free'. The swag has to be worth something, right?
-
2 OdpowiedziI paid your mom $20 and made you. THAT was a waste of money.
-
Yep it is something only a total tool would do.
-
Honestly, if they were ten bucks I'd be fine with it. 20 is too much, unless it includes more than class items and dances.

4 OdpowiedziLet them add micro transactions, Bungie probably just barely out of the red. They spent $500 million, they got to start making a profit some how.
-
My favorite band is Tool so I guess it fits. Thanks OP. You look cute today.

Schism or Right in Two are probably my favorite. If they ever release the new album there might be something on there I will really enjoy.
