I had to beat Crota on Hard at least 22 times to get the damn thing. I agree that it should be made easier to get.
However, selling Crota's soul? I think that's a bit much. Just make it a guaranteed drop on the second clear and I think it'd be good.
(Though I suppose Eris could also have it...)
