Bungie, you ruined class items
The one cosmetic item that most people care about (especially hunters), and you tie light into them.
Now I'm forced to use a cloak I don't like as much aesthetically just to have a decent light level.
The one week pledge to a faction is awesome and frees us to use any class item we want now, but attaching light to those items now negates that feature.

15 OdpowiedziSo basically, they made you free to use whichever class item you want since you don't need the faction ones anymore. But you are still tied to the ones with better stats. Top notch thinking there Bungie.

I just got a skolas cloak with 170 light, my old skolas one was 3... Wat... And! I don't even like that cloak :'(

2 OdpowiedziYeh I mean at least make the ones that are hard to obtain better than vanguard ones like the PoE ones ... my favorite bond o my have 3 defense ... now I have to wear a vanguard thing.. I don't mind just think it would be fair raising the defense for all legendary class items to 140+

2 OdpowiedziAgree with this, same as the new Ghost shells. My red Frontier shell has a defense of 3, so I had to grab a new one just to be level at 160 (boosted my light up by 12 with it). They should simply remain vanity items to show off accomplishments/what we like.

Well If you're talking about Year 1 cloaks then yeah all i to say is F*** man I loved those cloaks!!! However if you're year 2 cloaks then I'm pretty sure you can upgrade it by Sacrificing another cloak with a higher defense rating to bring it up a notch.

No matter what, we should be able to use our cloaks, bonds, and marks without having to pick one over another due to some light level nonsense. These have always been cosmetic items until now and quite frankly they should have stayed that way. Now what bungie should (but most likely won't since they love not doing cool things for us) do is let us just upgrade the defense on our cloaks. I for one love my kellhunters hood but now it only has a ridiculous 3 defense. Utter idiocy on the dev team's part.

You only have to use a high level cloak in endgame content. In crucible and lower level content it wont affect you too much

Wait till ttk drops I bet there will be lots of cool class items with acceptable light level

Shattered Vault cloak is like 130 defense, Leopard cloak is about 20 defense, Kellslayer cloak is 3 defense…Wetwork cloak is 150…Frumiuos cloak received from Cayde-6 for hunter quest is 160. so now I have to wear the Wetwork or Frumious to keep my stats up. Goodbye Leopard, Shattered Vault, Strength of the Pack, Octopus, Ghost Angel, etc. etc. until much much later in the game when I don't care so much about stats anymore. I only have enjoyed my Hunter class items anyway as my main. I never got into the Titan or Warlock items much…or at least didn't care enough about them to miss them.

5 OdpowiedziWhat I don't like is that the exotic class items can't be equipped with exotic armor. It's stupid, they aren't providing OP stats or bonuses. We should be able to equip exotic class items and armor.
