A Hunter since day one
I remember when no one wanted a Hunter in their VOG. People said Hunters sucked and we're the worst class in the game. As I mashed through the vex in that raid and destroyed Oracles with my golden gun I never understood the hate, because I knew I'd chosen the right class. While people needed a second life or a Titan bubble to get through a hard VOG as a 29, I relied on pure gun skill and the ability to stay alive. Even now some people say that Gunslinger is useless for PVE. Why? Because you have to be calculated when using your super and can't just mindlessly throw it at adds? I am an expert with my Gunslinger and am never at a disadvantage in any PVE activity.
Then came Crotas End, a raid in which the Hunters abilities where unrivaled, and everthing changed.
"Just let the Hunter run the abyss and invite us at the end"
"Need a 32 hunter to run the sword"
This is what the people on LFG would say, the same people who didn't want my 29 Hunter in their VOG.
Then POE came and again Hunters were in high demand. No subclass handled the mines like a Bladedancer, and who was there to revive you when your bubble failed you, or you didn't have that second life to fall back on? A Bladedancer.
Then there is PVP. I don't even have to talk about this because Hunters dominate the Crucible, this is fact. Hunters always had respect here.
Now everyone runs a Hunter. In fact I believe it is the most used class or at least equal with the Warlock. I see these baby Hunters running around like they know, and I chuckle to myself.
Because I was a Hunter before it was cool. A Hunter since day one.
Prepare for the Nightstalker Era.
Edit: So much positivity here, it's great. There are always a few who choose to take offense and say negative things. I don't mean to offend anyone and have not posted this to "gloat" as some have said. This is just to point out how wrong everyone was about Hunters. Only those day one Hunters who experienced the hate will understand.
Edit: Wow guys I love the feel in this virtual room and woke up to a ridiculous amount of responses. It took me all morning to reply to everyone, but if you took the time to leave positive energy in here I'm gonna make sure I give you some back. I've always been a hunter, tried to main a warlock. I pulled it off for about a week. Back to a hunter. I love my hunter. My hunter is my baby. Whoever says otherwise just doesn't know the strengths and weaknesses of hunters. Hunters have always been my go to class. Whoever has mained a hunter since the beginning, sign below.

8 OdpowiedziMy main is a Titan and I have to say Hunters take the most skill. But golden gun in PvE is not useless. My buddies main hunters and they give me A LOT orbs for my bubble. Hunters are also agile as hell so they can escape from stuff a warlock could never escape and a titan has a low chance of escaping.

Warlocks and Titans are hypocritical to say they never needed Hunters and thought they were useless when we did so much for their asses. Also I want to point out hunters never got respect in crucible just bungie getting more complaints from people who think the sucky hunter should be nerfed. These people don't understand the hunter is not only the most balanced but hardest to play due to the squishiness and having to actually aim with GG. Thank you for brightening my day with this post. Also been a hunter since beta don't regret 1 moment of my decision.

I started destiny as the hunter too and I remember people not ready to let me join vog team as I was a hunter, but it was still my favorite class even though I had the other 2, and now the same people who were complaining about hunters have one of their own. Let the hunter Era prosper indefinitely. Oh and those cloaks were Badass as f***

The way I see it, talking in "military" terms, Warlocks are like Doogie Howser in Starship Troopers. Titans are the Marines. Hunters are the Spec Ops guys. We all need each other. [spoiler]Hunters are the best though[/spoiler]

Yeah us Day 1 hunters are battle scarred warriors but that comes with a responsibility too, there's gonna be a lot of year two noobies who pick a hunter because of how cool they look (just like all the rest of us when we were noobies) and don't know shit about how to hunter the hunter walk, we're gonna have to show these kids the right way to hunter it up. How to piss every one off with gg in pvp and how to clutch in pve with the blade dancer. They don't know how yet, but they will... And without all the godamn grinding as well... Lucky bastards
