IMO Destiny is the best game I've ever played. Gaming since 1986 on the old Atari 2600.
But the experiences, excitement, fun and just sheer awesomeness that I've experienced continually over my 1300 hour plus time with Destiny is unlike anything I've played before.
So what's with the hate? This is the ultimate FPS with literally unlimited gameplay and replay value.
Is it just a lack of skill? Or sad pathetic trolls looking for some kind of social interaction because they are so toxic in the real world?
Honest question. How could you hate this game?

I love it. Also been gaming since the 80s like yourself. Just remember people that hate stuff on the internet tend to be the vocal minority.

Best game you played in all those years? You sir need to play more games... It's ok but best?? Damn.
to each his own
It's a love/hate relationship. Best way to describe it....

Destiny is a great game, was it slightly disappointing in some aspects? Of course, but that hasn't stopped me once from enjoying Destiny with friends. I've never had the same experience playing this game with friends when compared to any other online game, and that's one aspect I had an absolute blast out of.

I just dislike how, obviously, they have no clue what works for their game. Hence the total reconstruction of the game in TTK. I've never seen a game redesign itself a year into its lifespan. Then again, I'm only 19 going on 20. I hope this reconstruction is for the best, and to me, it appears to be for the best. Really hope they find where they're going, and then start building up.

It was just lack luster
-
It's hated for generating too much hype and failing to deliver. The most common issue is the story element. However it is funny to see the haters constantly hating out even after a year, it's like they are obsessed over this game and Bungie have ruined their lives.
-
Because it's silly
-
It's got so much potential! It will be one of the best games in the future! I plan on sticking around seeing what comes of it!
-
I love it. But they're DEFINETELY some major flaws in the game? You want an example? The "story", and character personalities.

Edytowany przez użytkownika Felly: 9/4/2015 11:35:43 PMNot the best game since whatever date u put and no replay value unless u actually mean rewind back and do the exact samething then yes replay value. But still a good game

Vocal minority.

Overall it's a pretty successful game. I forget the numbers but daily logins are quite high. The problem is the "haters" are such a vocal bunch they give the impressions most people hate the game. The reality is they are just a loud mouthed minority.

7 OdpowiedziTheres literally no story and multiplayer is so unbalanced its not even fun

3 OdpowiedziThe ones that like Destiny are playing the game....not coming to the forums saying how much they like it. I gave up trying to understand why the haters even bother coming to the forums of a game they don't like.

4 Odpowiedzi20 people eating cheeseburgers, 19 are enjoying it and munching away happily. One person starts bitching "This is terrible, it's nothing like the pizza I had last week! You people are stupid for liking it!". The other 19 continue to quietly eat their cheeseburgers, ignoring the one bitching, enjoying every bite. That, is this comunity.
I was going to use "hotdogs", but too many people might think it was a pun.
20 OdpowiedziOkay, well, since you asked, let's look at this from a Psychology point of view. What we're looking at is a case of groupthink and conformity. Think of the Destiny community as a unified group of people. However, a sub group of people exist; let's call them Haters. Haters are more vocal than the others, as negative opinions are typically paid more attention to than others. When one of the appreciative players speaks up, the groupthink of the haters sets in and shuts down any counterpoint ("shut up desticle/ sheep"). Eventually, people see others getting shut down for speaking up, and they decide to just keep quiet, not wanting to stir the pot. That's the groupthink in action. Now as to why the hate is so widespread? Conformity, which is defined as when an individual changes their behavior to fit in with a group due to social pressures. When you see post after post of negativity, that infects you. And you start thinking "I mean, yeah, that dialogue isn't great" or "that is unbalanced" and gradually you change your thought process until you become one of the haters as well.

3 OdpowiedziReplay value , Facepalm !!! , do you mean 1000 x the same stuffs again and again

Because people around these parts don't seem to understand the fact that in Game Development, things change. Goals shift and become unrealistic and internal/external pressures cause things to happen that change the shape of them game....for better or worse. They hate it because it didn't turn out like it was shown off in 2012/2013.....they seem to think that if its shown in Public then it has to be locked in and never change, and if it does...they've been deceived and and given a different product. Which isn't the case, its just the nature of this industry. And like others have said, the negative people will drown out everyone else alot of the time, because the positive people are too busy enjoying the game most of the time...rather than coming online and bitching about it. Either way, it is what is. Haters gonna hate.

What hate are you talking about? I don't see any hate and haven't heard any hate

destiny is a different type of game. The grinding can be off putting to many and I almost gave up on destiny due to the grinding. As for PVP I can see how competitive players that like halo with it's very wide skill gap don't like destiny because if it's narrow skill gap. Destiny is designed to be a casual fun game and I do enjoy it, especially raids. I didn't like POE at all though and that was a total bomb. I really hope the new raid is good.
