IMO Destiny is the best game I've ever played. Gaming since 1986 on the old Atari 2600.
But the experiences, excitement, fun and just sheer awesomeness that I've experienced continually over my 1300 hour plus time with Destiny is unlike anything I've played before.
So what's with the hate? This is the ultimate FPS with literally unlimited gameplay and replay value.
Is it just a lack of skill? Or sad pathetic trolls looking for some kind of social interaction because they are so toxic in the real world?
Honest question. How could you hate this game?

It gets hate cause everyone knows bungie is a top developer, but after leaving Microsoft it's just not the same. It feels more like a money hungry company now, not the bungie that made masterpieces like halo, marathon or myth. It gets crap because we all know the game it could've been, but isn't. It gets hate because of lame ass lines to avoid delving into the story and leaving that to lame grimmoire cards that are not even on the game. Basically it gets hate cause bungie done -blam!-ed up

Did you go right from Atari to Destiny? Otherwise, how did you overlook all the better games from 1986 until 2014?

The disappointments leading up to every release (e.g. Vanilla Destiny, TDB, HoW and more than positive TTK will join that list)

I really love the game play. I would give bungie significantly more money if they could provide me with more strikes/raids.

Combat was the original Atari PvP. I thoroughly enjoy this game. Some of the redundant strikes and bounties get monotonous but overall it's been my best entertainment expenditure.

Edytowany przez użytkownika Psychedelia: 9/5/2015 2:40:44 AMIt was the hype. Bungie overhyped and over promised and people expected more than what they got. Mostly, people are just shitty and they have a bad few crucible rounds and then take to the forums with their rage. I think it's a great game and so do the haters, otherwise they wouldn't even bother hating on it. They'd just play something else and not care that it wasn't what they hoped it would be. There are a lot of games I've liked more, but I really do love destiny. I don't bitch about it tho. I'd like to add, however, my biggest complaint is with Activision... They chopped the original into a game + 2 dlc and that was shitty. The game itself was great, but they shouldn't have rushed the release date and used all the story that was originally intended. Would have been the very best game ever if they had. The Taken King is the first REAL dlc and wasn't already done when the original was released. They could have had the blades of crota and the raids and the wolves on patrol release in the same time frame as regular patches and not charged us for them. The business side of this game kinda held it back. But again, I love the game and will keep buying it until it stops being fun.

People wouldn't be so vocal about its flaws if they didn't care for its future. I've spent more time with destiny than any other game in my life, and it's only been one year. I think it's going in the right direction and will only continue to get better. Sure, there is some shady business with the whole cut content and whatnot, but honestly I have a good time with what we have now and the future looks promising. It's obvious that bungie cares a lot to continue with this project for a long ass time.
-
Somehow people got in their head that this would be the utopia of gaming. I don't get it either
-
It's the community, most of these people came from CoD type games(Not saying that's bad), they don't understand the fundamentals of RPGs. This community is worse than the WoW community, and that is saying A LOT. Entitled generation feels entitled to everything.
-
The community is definitely something worth hating
-
I've been gaming since the 80's as well (Atari, NES, C64 etc...) I agree with the OP, Destiny is a great game. Not perfect ( story, cut content etc...), but I haven't played a perfect one yet
-
I'd say the hate is proportional to the number of people who play it; when millions are playing you can afford to have 10k haters. In a way it's a good sign

Edytowany przez użytkownika ADemonTeddyBear: 9/5/2015 2:15:37 AMToo much shown before launch was never seen, and never will be seen. It is really fun and there can be a lot of good times if your playing with the right people.
-
It's just this game had way more potential. That's why we hate it.
-
It's not people just like to bitch. Also it was pretty flawed at launch, and the first two DLCs are like 98% confirmed cut content, so that never helps.
-
Ppl r dumb

11 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika Tomato Gravy: 9/5/2015 12:32:53 AMI get why people get dissapointed, or quit playing. What I can't understand for the life of me, is what compels people to come here & bitch about it.....try to explain to everyone that they are stupid for playing. If someone's done with the game....or even hates it, then why on earth would they want to come here? I mean just leave already....no one cares at all about destiny hate threads...myself included. Just puzzled by it is all. Sure I'm not happy about everything......I feel like How has been a huge let down & because of that, the season pass holders should get some kind of break on Ttk. But I still am going to buy it & still love destiny in spite of the game or bungie's flaws.

The vast majority really enjoy Destiny, however the whiniest minority litter these forums. Pretty obvious really...

Its the vocalminority that hayes the game. A lot more people like the game, but you only see haters posting on the forums.

I love it. Also been gaming since the 80s like yourself. Just remember people that hate stuff on the internet tend to be the vocal minority.
