Sooooo what incentive does a new player have to try CE , VoG and PoE???
Cause everything from there is obsolete? Genuine question, not being smart....
Edit: Yeah yeah, they will do it for fun once or twice, no one from them will do CE 20-30 times for a useless crux...

Like the new exotics, the new raid will have a level requirement higher than that of our current raids. What did you do when CE hit? Did you abandon VOG because it was partially obselete? This is the same. Your lvl 20 gear will still be awesome at lvl 20.

Also you guys should try actually doing them legit, as in doing Oracles / Templar from the bottom (make orbs for a no-teleport) or building the bridge during Crota. It really is more enjoyable that way.

No reason at all. At the absolute most it would be to get old exotics for new blueprints.

They won't be totally useless. You can get year 1 exotics and get the year 2 blueprints.

It's old content, who cares why they do it. Fun, chances at exotics, and all of the gear can be used in regular crucible without doing less damage than newer weapons. If Necrochasm is any good in regular crucible, people will still run the raid. And again, it's old content, it's not supposed to be relevant for end game content 2-3 DLCs/expansions later.

Then there's the meta-game where we collect stuff like OCD treasure hunters. The 2.0 update breaks the meta-game for Year 1 content. You already saw the 2.0 effect on Year 1 content during the last Iron Banner. I've never seen so many friends off-line. And considering everything they collect will be obsolete, I can't blame them. Bungie needs an upgrade path for Year 1 gear. #saveourexotics

For the experience to say you did it, plus the crux isn't really useless. They said all year 1 exotics will eventually be brought forward, and the crux is needed for the necrochasm so...

Build team cohesion and get some good laughs. VoG is a good way to get introduced to one variation of the game mechanics. CE is simpler and has completely different mechanics. PoE is just for fun cause the rewards suck.

They won't get much use. Such is the way in games like this. Brilliant content can get left behind. Wow has a lot of really really well designed raids that are all collecting dust these days.

Buddy just leveled a hunter and its his only hunter. VoG and CE was the quickest way to get legendary gear to get him to level 34
