Why does nobody ever have a mic?
Is it just me or does nobody ever talk in the crucible? I sometimes play alone and for whatever reason never find anyone who has a mic in random lobbys... This is weird to me considering the competitive nature of the game... What are your thoughts? Bump up if you have a damn mic! (the video has random funny moments with friends in the crucinle) enjoy!

2 OdpowiedziI bought a mic, hoping to get brave and good enough to try a raid, but have never used it. I think about trying it in crucible but I cuss when I do something stupid and end up with a shotty to the face :) Plus we have only been playing a couple months and are still learning. I do give help and info to my hubby who plays/sits next to me. He wants to record me cos he says I say funny things, but those funny things might not be helpful to a team. Like: "That's right Rambo, just run in there blindly and let me know their position..." Anyways, I don't usually write in posts but thought I would this time. Before anyone says I suck, I already know it .80 K/D lifetime. Still trying to figure out why I'm better at IB then reg crucible....

1 OdpowiedźI don't want to turn my mic on for fear of hearing a squeaker. If I hear those little spawns of Omnigul I have to stop my ears from bleeding. Plus when I'm solo playing I like to listen to music.

2 OdpowiedziI always have it on, but almost never run into others with it on in Crucible. Came across a couple of boys using it the other day, so thought I might be able to get some good communication going for that match. They didn't notice me talking at first, but once they did, one of them proceeded to tell me in great detail how he was going to anally -blam!- me, then my mother, then my grandmother. In great detail. Out of the blue mind you, just because he'd found someone else that was using the communications channel. Needless to say, I seldom run across anyone with anything useful to say, even when they do bother to use comms.

I don't want to talk to a bunch of random people in the crucible that's why, an I'm annoyed when I hear people talking when I'm trying to kill

1 OdpowiedźI always play alone and I play to have fun. I have a mic but don't use it because I don't want to listen to try hards and squeakers. The people that get on team chat are as toxic as these forums.

They scared that if they -blam!-ing up you or I or any one that's better on the team may call them out for they -blam!- ups. Or they just want to relax ya know

I will unmute it of there are people saying a few things that are amusing chat..though it doesn't happen often....as a tip (only for those of you unaware)..The mic will stay off if on the first 5 seconds of a match someone starts in "Anyone in chat?..Anyone talking?...Anyone have a mic?...Evocative..you have a mic? Why aren't you chatting if you have a mic? Anyone in chat?"

1 OdpowiedźThe only reason I don't use mine i don't feel like turning it on. Also, when I used to raid a lot, the shit would drag forever, so i needed to save my battery, but that was back then. Now I just don't bother. I'm used to not talking. Everyone having the choice to opt in or out is exactly why nobody does. Even if you see someone jump into the chat, it's just like, why bother turning it on for a single game. I'm not just gonna keep it on all the time because then I'd be wasting my battery just so only like one or two people talk over like 5 games. Also, every so often I'm actually in a Skype call with other friends playing the game, and since we're all on Skype instead of the in game chat, nobody needs to use their mic. I do think it'd be nice to actually get a -blam!-ing coordinated team through verbal communication, but a lot of people just don't feel like getting on mic to talk to randoms for one or two games.

1 OdpowiedźRaids? Definitely. It's basically a must because of all the specifics going on. PoE? 32 no, 34-35 yeah. Falls kinda with Raids. Strikes? No. Unless it's a nightfall. But I feel like most people know the going ons with these by now. Not a whole hell of a lot of strategy besides kill things and don't get stoopid. Crucible? Nah. Not usually. It has the feel of standing in a convenience store. I don't really care about what you're saying because 90% of the time, it ain't strategy. Rather just chat with my FT and cap faces. Unless of course we are talking skirmish or Osiris. Then they are kinda needed.

1 OdpowiedźMy mic is always on, but I'm typically in a party with my friends. If I'm not in a party then I'll be listening in the case anyone is in game chat and needs me to do something and never really respond unless it's like a question or something

1 OdpowiedźFew reasons why (some include me) 1. Forget you can enter chat (usually in party with friends. 2. In a party (like reason above) 3. Dont have mic 4. Too shy to use a mic (a lot of people are shy even over video games for some reason. 5. Not up to par on the skills needed to be top 1 or 2 of team so scared to talk and be shit talked. (lots of hard core (for some reason) and try hards in destiny). Number 1 or 2 i think are the biggest reasons. There is not a good option to remember to join it. It should really automatically be joined unless in party chat

As far as I know everyone uses them when the situation calls for communication I.e raids and stuff, but nightfalls, crucible pugs and strikes no thanks

1 OdpowiedźI find this topic hilarious. In the early days of this game the community freaked over not having team chat. They made petitions so often that deej asked us to stop making them. Now that we have team chat no one uses it..
