Why Do People Play This?
You will now have to rerelevel your exotics. Don't be mad about it. This is Destiny. If you're mad about stuff like this a year after this crap's release, then you should have left a loooong time ago. This is Bungie. A bunch of lying, sly, greedy bastards, who will say what they need to, to make it so you feel like you need to buy the next DLC. A lot of people will do it despite knowing all the crap Bungie will pull in the DLC. This crap they do makes it so a week after the DLC, they can brag about how much people have played, even though, if you want to be relevant in the DLC, you [i]have[/i] to put in dumb amounts of time.
EDIT: Okay, best time I've had on these forums yet hands down. Thanks for the fun, Bungie Defenders and mindless sheep. You entertained me for a good couple hours.
EDIT: It seems people think I'm trolling. I am not trolling. I'm trying to get to the bottom of why people play this. I want to have fun in this game, but it's too shit for me. Let me give you an example of something that was right in my eyes: when Bungie made it possible for you to use Vanguard and Crucible points for mats. Or something like that I don't remember completely but those are the kinds of things that made me happy, because it made the grind less annoying and less of a chore, and you actually had something to use said marks for every week.

1 OdpowiedźI play because my friends still play. The crucible, although full of thorn/shotguns is relatively solid in its mechanics and pretty fun. The strikes are fun doing challenge modes on. Mainly, I play to chat and hang out with distant friends who agree this is a fun game for the most part. That's my opinion though, I have other friends that tried and do not want to come back to this game and they are very entitled to what they believe.

2 OdpowiedziI think people play because of POTENTIAL. However it's progression from what was promised pre release has been slow to say the least, and some decisions such as the capping of exotics and legendaries are just simply schizophrenic steps backward.

I'm not gonna make some complicated reply in response to you're entire post. Instead, I'm just going to answer the question in the title. I play because it's fun. That simple. Irregardless of some of the questionable choices they make with the changes, I always have fun. No matter how many times I take a month off, or a few weeks off or get into another game; I always find myself coming back. I just enjoy it too much to see myself quitting anytime soon.
