There's No Earning In Destiny, Prove I'm wrong /:)
Just tell me how could you earn a random drop? It's RNG, for those who are saying you xurned your Gjallarhorn, you didn't work for it... RNG may be blessed with you, you may get it throw joining a nightfall (At the the end of the boss fight, Engram or Simply getting exotic chest checkpoint)...

-You can only say you earned an exotic bounty/elder cipher exotic oh wait they drop randomly, never mind lol (doing the bounty is earning)

7 Odpowiedziyou're right about the bounty being a random drop but dont forget that you have to actually work for the gun which isnt a random drop

Getting the bounty is random, but everyone who has a bounty weapon for sure did all of the steps in that bounty and therefore earned it. Same deal with Vex/Necro - everyone that has one definitely completed the raid on hard. How many times is anyone's guess, but that's the only way to get those drops. Thus they are also earned. Every other exotic is completely random.

I can prove you correct. I just 138 kills in a dragon strike, and I've been farming for 19 hrs (not in a row). My friend got 3 kills and got his 2nd hopscotch in 5 hrs.

For most things, yes. But: Getting to the lighthouse All exotic bounties Etc are all earned (couldn't think of anything else)

1 OdpowiedźYou earn the chance to get an exotic drop. I earned the chest checkpoint by doing vog hard that gave me my first red death. Saying that rng removes earning is bs because random drops are only present in certain portions of endgame content. I earned my vex because I was the last alive at atheon and shot him 5 times in the belly without time's vengeance. Thanks for reading
