Just tell me how could you earn a random drop? It's RNG, for those who are saying you xurned your Gjallarhorn, you didn't work for it... RNG may be blessed with you, you may get it throw joining a nightfall (At the the end of the boss fight, Engram or Simply getting exotic chest checkpoint)...

-GUYS IM TALKING ABOUT EXOTICS
-You can only say you earned an exotic bounty/elder cipher exotic oh wait they drop randomly, never mind lol (doing the bounty is earning)
-lighthouse and Osiris gear are earned
-I'm at 3585+ grimoire score and I bought my Gjallarhorn from xur
-
-
Same here 3500+ grimoire and I brought my ghorn been playing since day one I don't have the most impressive playtime however I still complete everything I need to get exotics.
-
2 OdpowiedziYou earn a fixed amount of coins for the weekly, surely this earning? You buy something from Xur, you buy it with yours earnings. Buying from Xur, technically, is more earning the any other part of the game, imo.
-
Because strange coins are a set reward for the weekly, xurning exotics is actually more of earning something than any other way
-
https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=define%20earn Technically you put in work (playing) and are payed via drops at the end of the activity. Value may vary, obviously. It is TECHNICALLY earning.. But so is buying it with strange coins. Who cares.
-
You contradict yourself in your post. You state yourself that doing the exotic bounties is earning. Sure it may be RNG to get the bounty but it's only good if you actually complete it which is earning also Lighthouse and Osiris as you mentioned above.

3 OdpowiedziEverything is up for debate. You could say rng gave you a gally and it was pure luck, or I can say mine was earned for going flawless in trials or completing a HM. If you think you earned a gun for playing the game, you -blam!-ing earned it. Don't let some asshole belittle your experience because they got their gun a different way.
-
Only thing I earned in this game was the ram and my exile gear lol
-
0/8 crap b8 m8
-
who cares sheesh.. - earned or not you have the exotic / legendary. - earned or not it's still in your inventory dismantled or not.
-
Invective and all the other exotic bounty weapons are earned by completing the bounty
-
1 OdpowiedźStrange coins are guaranteed drops for Weekly Heroic. So if you bought an exotic from Xur with strange coins earned by beating WH, then I would say its earned. tl;dr You are Wrong.

14 OdpowiedziEverything is earned. In the real world you trade your time for payment ie earning money. Spending time in game pays you with loot ie earning loot. So consider yourself proven wrong.

You say you're talking about exotics, but it applies to everything in the game. You earned that level, that armor, that gun. How you earned it, well that is a topic up for discussion. You may have played 20 hours and got the Holy Grail, you may have played 2000. The issue arises from perspective. For those who dump a lot of hours into it, it is comparable to working 9-5 for that dream car. Only, you see that one guy who was born with a silver spoon. You feel that you earned it more because you put more effort into it. However, this doesn't make it true. Whether you are devoted to the game or a weekend warrior, you put time into it. You deserve a reward. Sadly, people don't see playing with friends on a game they enjoy as a sufficient reward. This is where the salt starts to come in.
Datto contributed heavily to this kind of thinking. With his countless videos about how Destiny is not meant for casuals, and how Xur is a casuals' mechanic. This elitism is detrimental to the community as a whole. There are ways you can talk to other elitists without dragging other players down. Not to mention, the likeliness of you elitists playing with these casuals are very, very slim. Why should it bother you?
Exotics are all RNG. Xur is the closest to earning since it's not luck based.
-
If you grind raids week after week and you are by chance rewarded with an exotic, you earned that for your troubles. If you do a simple weekly for coins to spend at xur, you earned it too. However, the trouble you had to go through is far less and it can be frustrating towards those that did grind a lot. And some people are just very lucky....

There is earning. Doing weeklys and earning 9 coins, then saving them to buy stuff from Xur. Now THATS earning. Or those exotic bounties, but those are technically half RNG. Oh wait, you mean those retards mewling about how their RNG Gallys doesn't make them special anymore? Those guys are scrubs. -blam!- 'em.

1 OdpowiedźActually matchmaking decides if you play scrubs or mlgs. So orisis gear isn't earned
