I see all the people hating on people who bought Gally, claiming they didn't "earn" it. I got my first Gally a week ago out of an Legendary Engram I got out of PoE 28. Is that "earning" it? The people who get it after swapping characters at the Gorgon chest...they "earned" it too right? Oh or the people who are AFK during NF and get one? Best of all, the people who do the worst in Crucible but RNGesus blessed them with it, they really "earned" it there.
There's people who have been playing since day one without a Gally drop. They deserve it.
Cue the "well I grinded NFs and that's how I got my Gally I earned it". Alright. People run NF and get Strange Coins. Used to buy Gally. People run the Heroics, and earn Strange Coins. You run Exotic Bounties and earn Bad Juju, Invective, Thorn, etc. You don't earn something that dropped randomly.
Let everyone enjoy their new toys. And, now your fireteams will have more firepower, so I don't know why this a bad thing to anybody.
Anyways congrats to all you new Gjallahorn owners! Level that baby up and we'll see you in the field.
Edit 1: I didn't get mad when Xur sold TLW or Ice Breaker. Or the Bones of Eao. None of you guys complained when Xur was selling something you didn't have. You bought it, leveled it, and loved it. Don't say you've never bought anything from Xur or I'm calling B.S.

1 OdpowiedźYes. I didn't even read your post. If you got a Gjally, you earned it.

3 OdpowiedziAnyone who has been playing this since day one who did not receive a GHorn as a reward, who continued to play Strikes, Raids, etc to get it and saw everyone in else get one because of RNG, actual earned it yesterday more so than anyone else. Why? Because they never gave up playing and continued to play regardless hoping to get one, while others got "Lucky". And with over 1200 hours game time I earned it.

18 OdpowiedziYou don't earn it if you by it
-
Rng isn't the same as luck. I think you could see it more as bad luck if you still didn't get it after tons of completions. Everyone who bought the game has the right to get all the content. So yes, we all earned it right after the moment we spend our money on it. If someone ever tells you otherwise, lies lies lies.

3 OdpowiedziEveryone got their Gjallahorn the same way. Dumb luck. Some by Nightfall rewards *cough*me, twice*cough* Some by random chance with a vault chest Some by random chance in Crucible rewards, typically by going mad negative Some by random chance in alegendary engram Some by the random chance that Xur would sell it. No one 'earned' it, EVER. Actually the ones who bought it come closer to "earning" than anyone else. Why? They had to save ansd spend the strange coins to acquire it. The exotic bounties are the only weapons that are truly earned, for you must invest yourself into the procurement of them. You KNOW what you are working toward and performing the tasks in order to obtain it. Anyone who says otherwise has no concept of earning.
1 a : to receive as return for effort and especially for work done or services rendered b : to bring in by way of return <bonds earning 10 percent interest> 2 a : to come to be duly worthy of or entitled or suited to <she earned a promotion> b : to make worthy of or obtain for <the suggestion earned him a promotion>
6 OdpowiedziWell it's impossible to get one from regular Crucible. Only iron banner
-
1 OdpowiedźYou got yours from a legendary engram. holy shit the odds of that happening are insane
-
1 OdpowiedźSeeing how getting it from anywhere besides xur is RNG based, I don't think anyone actually earned it. The only exotics you can earn are the ones from the exotic bounties.
-
4 OdpowiedziI got mine day one. I grind all day to level 26 so I could do the nightfall and it dropped for me. I totally earned mine. No I'm BSing great post very well written.

I earned mine. I bought an unfinished product.

4 OdpowiedziYou don't earn a handout either.
I'm not against people who bought Gally, good for you. But I'm against people who say I didn't earn my Gally. Pretty sure if you buying it is earning it, that me wasting 4 hours on a 35 PoE is earning it too.
-
3 OdpowiedziYeah, if you have it in your inventory you earned it. Don't sweat all the stupids on here talking about the contrary. The same nonsense happened with icebreaker and thunderlord. I got my first ghorn from a purple engram I picked up off the ground during a weekly heroic that I was doing to,.....wait for it....., get strange coins to buy stuff from Xur! The irony. So you go ahead and blast away with your new ballerhorn guilt free, you deserve it. And congrats to all who can finally cease the grind (until you decide you want a hopscotch pilgrim) To those that disagree, and are upset that everyone can now be as lucky as you were to be gifted your ghorn by RNG, please upload a video of you deleting everything you've ever bought from Xur before you comment.
because if you don't, that makes you a hypocrite
1 OdpowiedźThe one any only thing you can't buy from xur is that "Ohh!! Sh!t!!" moment when you finally get that exotic that you've wanted from a rng drop. Avoiding the endless grind of destiny by buying a item from xur Is a wonderful thing ,for those unlucky enough to not to have gotten it after putting so much of their time into this game. Personally I'm happy everyone has it now. This way when it gets nerfed everyone can suffer lol

11 OdpowiedziNice post man. There is no earning a weapon that is a random drop. You either get lucky or you don't. I have over 1200 hours in this game and I got one drop out of vault glass. So I'm glad it was available for everyone to buy. No more people get left out of things because they weren't lucky enough to have a Gjallarhorn drop. All these salty snowflakes talking about earning it are just plain crayon eaters. I guarantee you they are that guardian that got 2 kills on a NF and got it or went 1-30 in crucible and got it. So ignore them all, their arguments have zero weight. Clearly no understanding or how RNG works.
-
2 OdpowiedziTrue. I started been grinding for gjallarhorn as soon as I knew it existed. I put so many hours into the game, without getting it. I was almost more legendary because I didn't have it. Then xur sold it. The day after my birthday. I was really happy. I think that earning it is not the things you did to get it, but the things you did, that didn't get it. Hate all you want, that's just my opinion.
-
4 OdpowiedziI've been playing since day one and I didn't have a Gally until I bought it yesterday
-
Of course you earned it. You did those weeklies and got the strange coins. Everyone wants to be a special snowflake.
-
1 OdpowiedźGood post m8
-
People who think they earn things in destiny are retarded. It's all rng
-
No one earns a Gjallarhorn it's either rng or you buy one.
-
3 OdpowiedziEarn? If it dropped from an engram then It's called luck. If it was given as a random reward for a strike or crucible match, it's called luck. Doesn't matter how many hours you logged. It came down to luck. There is no Ghorn exotic quest. Thorn, you earn.
-
2 OdpowiedziPeople that have bought weapons from Xûr earned them. In some way, they worked for their strange coins. I have a buddy who had hit almost 900 hours without seeing a Gjallahorn. He bought it yesterday. I had my Gjallahorn drop off of my second VoG run. If anything, he worked harder for his than I did.
-
Or people who join at the last second in Nightfall.
-
3 OdpowiedziYou don't earn anything on this game, not even Thorn or any of those exotic bounties including the elder cyphers, the e otic bounty drops randomly which makes it another RNG crap, one thing is for sure, there was no epic reaction while buying it from Xur, those moments are for the ones who got lucky.

9 OdpowiedziIf you got it from an engram you did earn it. I've got 28 days logged in this game and I still don't have a gjally from an engram. If you got one from Xur this past week for 17 strange coins you also earned it, but in the cheapest way possible. People don't have to grind this game anymore because they can earn a few coin from weekly strikes and buy from Xur each week. What was the point of destiny? Oh yes to grind end game activities!!!
