90% of crucible players spam shotgun.
Just sad tbh. No it doesn't take skill hence why 10/12 players primary shotty every match.

I use an exotic hand cannon yes. But I use an efrideets spear or praedyths revenge. I snipe most of the time. I do not use a shotgun.

I'm either the .1% that uses messanger or the .0000001% that uses bad juju. Only pull out my shotty when I have to.

Surely this is just because for most maps if your play style works with a shorty that's what you use... I admit I'm only just passable with snipers, so it's pointless using if I want kills, I make use of that just like the snipers do with the long fields of fir in places... Can't tell you how many times I get headshoted as I run around a corner... I don't complain about it tho as I probably kill just as many people rushing with a shotgun... By the same token, it's not like I don't kill more people with my primary tbh, if you get close enough to shotgun then unless people are really bad they have a good chance of getting some shots n a potential melee in... I'm dead!

Depending on how you use the shotgun. For example i keep shotty on the side while rocking a handcannon with single point sling. I usually have a shotty with quickdraw for whenever i get blitzed. Very effective against blink shotty because they never expect you to go from handcannon to shotty in .67 seconds. But true shottys are spammed way too much. Im hoping the new shottys are more balanced in TTK. I know normal crucible wont be affected as much but Trails/Iron Banner wouldnt be as dominated by the year 1 shottys due to them remaining at lowered attack stats.

Hello Lancer17, I use shotgun in smaller maps because snipers and fusion rifles don't cut it. But on combined arms, snipers!!!!

I hate people that run around with them and never switch to primary. They're a part of the problem.

there is a crucible bounty for shotgun kills. Its the only reason I may use shotgun in pvp (which I rarely play anyway)

I absolutely suck with a shotgun. Seems like everyones shotgun shoots farther than mine. Btrd and the last word are the guns I use most in pvp.

Ok, so let's look at this. If almost all players use shotguns, then you have a lot of shotgun vs shotgun battles. If one player consistently comes out on top, you might think he has more shotgun skill than others.

I agree. Thats why I use medium/long range weapons. Its even worse when its the red bar laggers using them. So again, I stay medium/long range.
