Christian Guardians
I was just wondering how many Christians (of any sect) are here playing this game.
I've noticed that this game has some religious things in it that point towards Christianity, such as the Traveler being God, guardians being angels, and Fallen being demons.
Just a little observation.

The bible is also the best selling collection of childrens stories in human history. Also its funny how many people claim god is infalable even though hes done more -blam!-ed up shit than satan. Satan tried to show jesus how -blam!-ing big an arse his daddy is, and gave humanity TRUE free will. God wanted us to run around nude and ignorant in a garden so he could fap all day. Killed 26 children by possesing a pair of bears and mauling them to death. When humanity had a common goal to reach and talk to god he shit all ober it, and made humans the un-cooperative shits they are today. Killed innocent children just to make a point.

One guy lives his whole life a terrible person, towards the end of his existence, he finds God, he confesses his sins and prays genuinely for forgiveness, sins forgiven, into heaven you go. One guy lives his whole life a good person, upholding 'Christian' values, though he uses his own free will (which God apparently gave him) to decide, no, I do not believe in God, i do not accept him as I believe in the scientific explanation of the existence of life, straight to hell for you, blasphemer! God sounds like such a swell guy.

5 OdpowiedziLook, the bible is a bunch of stories. Not to be taken literally. It is all a bunch of different people from different areas telling the story of what they saw. Same as all other religions in a sense. Now the funny thing is, at different spots of the world this was happening. So for one group to tell another group that what they believe is wrong, is wrong in itself. What Buddhists saw, what Christians saw, what Islamists saw all different but all pointing back to the same thing...I personally (now this is out there) believe that different races of aliens came to earth and spread different ideas and guidelines to people in some sort of experiment. You can see in the different hieroglyphics all over the place that the same sort of drawings are the same. something came down from the sky told them a bunch of stuff and left. They called them birds because they only knew of one thing flying so that is how they described it. If you were a little kid and knew what a bird was, then saw all sorts of things flying in the sky, you would have thought they were birds as well, so that's what they drew and understood. I believe in something but I don't think our brains can comprehend the vast size of the universe. To say that there is no other life out there but here is just plain stupid. That's what Christians believe. That we are the only life in the world. This is one of the main reasons I don't believe in Christianity. Plus all the other fallacies they try and push on to people. And the fact there are other books in the bible that are hidden. And then revelations in the bible- that's a topic for a different day. I went to catholic school my whole life by the way.

4 OdpowiedziThose of you arguing against and putting down Christianity have serious issues. Why do you do it? Because you are not sure what you believe so you attack it because that's the only thing you can do, you are confused and scared, I get it. We do not like things we do not understand. Go educate yourselves, I see a lot of inaccurate statements. Not slinging hate, but if you are going to comment on this issue do it appropriately.

Christianity is dying, and its numbers have been proven to be dwindling...i can't wait until Rationality replaces Piety as the dominant belief system. I do think that religion is important to teach kids morality and kindness...but once they get old enough...the cat needs to be let out of the bag...much like santa clause =]

As a Baptist I would recommend not reading too heavily into the symbolism. The game also draws a lot from different cultural mythologies. I find it interesting from a lore stand point but I don't put too much stock in it.
