Dear upright guardians of the crucible,
Today I was restricted from crucible, for no apparent reason; like many of you. To anyone unjustly restricted, just know that Bungie too makes mistakes and algorithms sometimes lead to wrong solutions. Just hang in there and they'll get it straight. Even the matrix had glitches bro.
Dear Insensitive Jerks of the destiny forums,
If you're making fun of truly innocent people who have been restricted from crucible, I hope you have a great time in Iron Banner and Trials this week, because you low lifes have worked hard to put down others these past few days. But remember we will have our redemption. You are the few, we are the many; and Bungie understands that a few innocent bystanders, sometimes, get maced in the crowd.
Yours Truly, BTLxAUSSFUNKT

4 OdpowiedziCan you really blame guardians for showing no sympathy for someone bungie banned? I mean we have all seen and lost to people abusing network connections. It's one of the most infuriating experiences in destiny. All that anger against any opponent who has eaten 3 rockets and 2 melee only to kill you and then die 5 seconds later robbing you of heavy and your streak. That anger has been bottled and now anyone who posts on the forum claiming innocence is going to be where they express that anger against such cheating. If you were innocent, ask bungie what led to the ban so you don't get another. If you were guilty... shame on you for ruining others experience.

Looks like bungie finally AUSSFUNKT you for cheating! Get what you deserve!

8 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika ThisMahSwamp: 7/31/2015 3:54:09 PMThere is an inherent flaw with the reporting system...you can literally report anyone for anything, either rightfully so or maliciously. If Bungie is utilizing this reporting system as there sole means for doling out bans, that's a bit worrisome and here's why: Take the OP for instance. He plays Crucible quite a lot, way more so than the average Destiny player. This necessarily means that the odds of him being reported over the course of his Destiny "carrier" are dramatically higher. Why? One, because the vast majority of reporting is tied to Crucible play. Two, he has a ton of hours poured into Crucible play. Three, there are guardians out there that would maliciously report other guardians just because they are getting curb stomped. I have a feeling you pissed off quite a few players in your time in the Crucible. If so, they may have reported you for malicious intents. Just an observation, not a defense for the OP as I cannot truly tell if he did in fact cheat or not. If you haven't cheated, good on you and keep this game clean. Edit: This is under the assumption Bungie only bans based off of the # of reports, which isn't how they operate.

2 OdpowiedziWith 3.4 million medal score, I believe you when you say you don't cheat. A cheater would have around 500k medal score, obviously due to lack of experience in the crucible.

Edytowany przez użytkownika Neutrill: 7/31/2015 3:53:12 PMI only report people who get a shit ton of kills while red baring and teleporting. I've had people revive teammates well after all 3 were dead. It's bullshit and enough is enough. I'm sorry you were wrongly banned, I really am. But at the same time I'm happy a good majority of people I reported are gone. I don't report innocent people. If they're legit better than my team, we just wait a minute before searching.

1 OdpowiedźEdytowany przez użytkownika ashesofman: 7/31/2015 3:23:45 PMYou must have really terrible Internet to have gotten banned for what the lagswitchers are being banned for. Your internet must perform as badly as someone who is intentionally making their connection laggy. Buy a new modem, switch your ISP and consider this ban payment for all the people that you've affected in Crucible with your poor internet connection. Your lagginess has probably interrupted people's killstreaks, made you immune to damage, and a general pain in the ass for the other team. Look into improving your internet connection.

mmmm saline.

Lol innocent right hahaha

2 Odpowiedziwow that's such a shame. I knew this kind of shit would happen when they announced they'd be banning. They apparently can't tell the difference between lag switching & just overall red bar connection due to their shitty servers. I haven't touched iron banner because of how terrible I always lag in. But for Trials my connections always beautiful. I've never even been booted from a game.

4 Odpowiedzi
On 7/25/15 at 2:58am you tied a trials match on burning shrine, there were only 2 players on your team. Manipulating who you play with is a bannable offense. You can only tie trials rounds, not entire matches.... Enjoy your ban
Hey aussfunkt. What do you have to say about that?

9 OdpowiedziThanks man people been calling me a cheater , scrub , pussy , fgt , and everything because I got banned and I swear on everything I never cheated and it kinda gets me upset that I got ban for no reason like If I did get banned for cheating I wouldn't complain because it would be my fault . I just hate the fact that I know I never cheated in destiny ever .

8 OdpowiedziYou don't get restricted for no reason. I'm sure a lot people think I cheat, but yet, I haven't been restricted. Why? Cheating isn't the only reason you get restricted from the crucible. You can be restricted from strikes, why do you think that is? Good luck with your restricted status. You now have a lot of time to ponder why.

The first rule of Banhammer, you do not talk about Banhammer. The second rule of Banhammer...... * you know the rest *

7 OdpowiedziWrongly restricted? No one was wrongly restricted. Bungie has enough data to be able to tell the differed emcee between lag and your cheating ass.

4 Odpowiedzi

Hi, Bungie has issued bans in the crucible for Network Manipulation. Here is a link to a tweet by @Bungie addressing this issue. Also, see this Weekly Update (7/30/25) for more information Bungie also does not discuss bans or restrictions. You must wait it out like everyone else. When they swing the banhammer, they do so with accuracy. You have played for over 1200 hours. That is 1200 hours of data on your connection to the game - enough time to create a baseline and normal performance of your connection.
