Just A Note To Anyone Who Was Wrongly Restricted, And Any Insensitive Jerk That Comments On Their Post...
Dear upright guardians of the crucible,
Today I was restricted from crucible, for no apparent reason; like many of you. To anyone unjustly restricted, just know that Bungie too makes mistakes and algorithms sometimes lead to wrong solutions. Just hang in there and they'll get it straight. Even the matrix had glitches bro.
Dear Insensitive Jerks of the destiny forums,
If you're making fun of truly innocent people who have been restricted from crucible, I hope you have a great time in Iron Banner and Trials this week, because you low lifes have worked hard to put down others these past few days. But remember we will have our redemption. You are the few, we are the many; and Bungie understands that a few innocent bystanders, sometimes, get maced in the crowd.

7 OdpowiedziHaha some dumbass thought i was cheating because i went 5.0 while his team was terrible. He even threatened to hack me to make sure i can't ever play pvp, it was hilarious how butthurt kids get. I don't cheat in any way, i'm just good, not my fault.

15 OdpowiedziHey Aussfunkt So far, I've read 6 posts from people complaining of being unjustly banned, including this one. One of them was followed by a video, showing him and his friends lag switching an entire match, all 5 rounds, to the end of capture-the-zone. One of them had the cheater claiming to be a war vet, but a review of his recent games showed beyond any doubt that he cheated - almost none went to 5 matches. One of them the injured party admitted he used a lag switch, but only because everybody else was, then went off about how we're supposed to play however we want and it was not fair. One was under the #satire hashtag, and was very funny The other two, including you, could well be on the level. You've got a surprising number of 10.0 k/d and 5.0 k/d ToO wins, and 5/0 matches in your history so I'm a little suspicious, bbut your opponents on those matches don't look so hot, so maybe they're legit. So if you're genuinely legitimately wrongly accused, sorry, that sucks. I'm glad all the cheaters are gone, and it is a pity that a few genuine good guys are going to get kicked with them. Best of luck with whichever game you join next, or whatever you decide to fill your life with, you are an unfortunate casualty of justice. At least you're not getting a death sentence, eh?

1 OdpowiedźSo what exactly are people getting banned for? If X number of people report you do you get banned even though you weren't cheating? That would be really stupid. If so they need to actually look into passed games check IPs or whatever the f[b]u[/b]ck they do to check to see if people are cheating. Having 6 people all report the same person when he's not actually cheating and he gets banned just because of numbers is bullshit.

5 OdpowiedziInformation Asymmetry. You know what you did and who you associated with. I know that Bungie decided to ban you. I also know that Bungie has thousands of hours of data on you. That is sufficient information to develop baseline performance and identify anomalies. There is nothing you can do can overcome the damning evidence that Bungie singled you out of millions of players to ban. You cannot overcome the information asymmetry.

I have pretty bad internet sometimes and I've had plenty of people say they reported me for lagswitching, never once have I manipulated anything in any way and guess what [b]I'm not banned[/b] they said they could see the difference between real lag and lagswitch lag so I guess that's why I didn't get wrongly punished :) go bungie!

1 OdpowiedźStfu cheater. Unlike what you may think, it is possible to single out a player out of millions playing and get hard evidence that he's cheating. Once you're on their radar from others pointing you out, it's pretty easy for them to go look for causality and see if you're actually cheating. Things like does you internet only wobbles when you're in a match and miraculously gets fine when you're in orbit, or in face of strong evidence just have a staff spectate your ass - do you take actions in-game that hint at the fact you know you cannot get killed. Really, when all you do is going through their servers it's not hard to nail you. I doubt that there's as much as a single false positive in the bans they're issuing.

16 OdpowiedziWhile reading some of the comments below, I feel like a lot of people think you need to abuse the network for a ban. The banning system is based on the reports you are getting, in addition to the people that are lag-switching (I don't know how the network-abusing stuff works, so i'm not sure if Bungie can easily track those that do). My point is that you might not have been "cheating" but you could've been a dick to some people and they decided to report you. Now, I simply don't know if that applies to the OP or not, I'm just saying lag-switching isn't the only reason for you to get banned.

4 OdpowiedziCan you really blame guardians for showing no sympathy for someone bungie banned? I mean we have all seen and lost to people abusing network connections. It's one of the most infuriating experiences in destiny. All that anger against any opponent who has eaten 3 rockets and 2 melee only to kill you and then die 5 seconds later robbing you of heavy and your streak. That anger has been bottled and now anyone who posts on the forum claiming innocence is going to be where they express that anger against such cheating. If you were innocent, ask bungie what led to the ban so you don't get another. If you were guilty... shame on you for ruining others experience.
