Using mic?
Is it necessary to talk to you're fire team when doing VoG, PoE, CE, ToO and more? I really don't think it is..Using a mic is something I will rarely EVER do due to the harassment and jokes made against me in general. And also the fact that there are 5 other prepubescent boys waiting to bash you. Do you guys like using mics? Do you hate on people who don't?

Just pick your team. I usually don't have a problem even though I don't have a mic. Make use of the emotes though. My buddy usually asks if I've got rockets for Crota and I wave. Once you run a raid with the same people, they won't care at all if you don't have a mic/don't use it.

1 OdpowiedźMics are important I think. Communication is very crucial. Its pathetic tho that u get harassed you would think playing the game and doing what needs to be done is more important. Smh sorry man. It's a damn shame.

The only time I've been in a group without mics was the 32 Qodron POE and we couldn't beat the boss. I'd done it the day before with mics and we could, so yes, mics are important.

I mean I'm 34 so as soon as I hear a squeaker who has done VOG/Crota a 100 times and has a mate who can kill Crota in 1 hit I generally tend to just back out and hopefully find a bunch of like minded people in the next game I join. Communication is an amazing life skill and to not want to talk to someone just seems a little strange to me.

I don't use a mic if I'm playing solo, but I won't party with people unless they have a mic. There's really no reason to be in a party with people you can't talk to.

1 OdpowiedźI agree, and i also think some sort of group or clan should be made up for like minded people to play together. People who know what to do in the game , but dont want to have to communicate with strange children over the internet . I spend all day talking sh*t to strangers , im not really up for it when im in my home .

Went flawless without a mic and did 35 PoE without one so I have to say it isn't necessary.

People without mics are very restricted to me in that they can't do relic or sword they will be replaced asap they will be held to a higher degree as in I'm more likely to kick them for a mistake and if they can't follow instructions or choose not to because they feel they know better then I'll kick them

I don't think it' nesesarry, but it's nice to chat with people while playing. Usually when I play with some one else with a mic I usally talk about the game, the lore or just joke around.

Mics aren't really needed, sure it helps but you don't need one to finish the job, I ran through a 35 with 2 people with no nice finished it with a breeze and at skolas, it took 2 tries. The first was just to find out what will work with the poison (I know it's not called this but it's what I call it) but they just danced when the timer was low

It's helpful, but not a necessity. It's more important to be able to hear and listen to instructions, as well as know what your doing. I would much rather have a experienced player without a mic on my team then a scrub with one. Now if you are a scrub without a mic that has no idea what he is doing; then I might have a problem.

It depends on the group, if the other 5 people or so have a mic and our group is doing good then I don't always use a mic but if few people use a mic I'll start talking to help team communication

I use a mic. When raiding it's not mandatory, but it helps. Fortunately for me I don't deal with it much since I don't use lfg. Don't know why people would hate on you for using a mic. Think they would hate more if you don't use it.

1 OdpowiedźI have a thread about this myself. Honestly, being able to [i]hear[/i] those who can speak is more important than anything. When I'm running a raid I try to lead or otherwise be vocal to help others. So I expect they be able to hear me. But the talking part isn't really necessary. The listening isn't necessary really either for some activities so long as that person is experienced but it can be frustrating with no communication whatsoever. For me I allow for a learning curve to see if they keep making the same mistake or not.

1 OdpowiedźI dont and always get a trash group for doing so. I hate how all the decent players NEED a mic to go flawless or do a raid or do skolas. Ive done skolas 3 or 4 times no mic.

I think you should communicate with your team in trials. It really helps for calling out where enemies are etc. Other than that no big deal.

1 OdpowiedźNo you do not need a mic to play a video game. I do not use a mic ever for some of the reasons you mentioned and I have beat 35 skolas multiple times, hard crota, hard vog, trials and crucible all with a team with no mics, so it is not necessary to have a mic.

1 OdpowiedźHonestly Mic isn't even needed ( but is recommended ) Gone to the lighthouse 19 times ( 10 without mic ) It's just skilled based and pretty much common sense... Can't tell you how many people I've played with who just play really dumb....

We joke around, shoot the shizz, and enjoy the game, win or lose. There's no sense in being mean and I avoid playing with people who are. I suggest keep looking for a decent group and stick with them. Join their clan if they have one. I don't hate on people who don't use a mic, but I do try to find out if they can at least hear what the rest of the team says and see if they are willing to try to follow our tactics since they can't speak up to offer their own.

Yeah you can play without a mic bit it's not very helpful to ur team . I find one of best parts is the banter between friends whilst playing . This banter is obviously in between helpful instructions when doing raids or POE . You don't have to talk just because you have a mic but there definitely times it can help and probably prevent a wipe .
