The pure elitist nature of this community makes me sick. Almost everybody on these forums seems to carry a holier-than-thou attitude like a badge on their chest.
Apparently, if you don't have 3 34s, have run both raids on normal and hard multiple times, have most if not all exotics, have run flawless Trials and have run 35 PoE, your opinion isn't valid.
Apparently you can't complain about a weapon unless you've used it. Apparently if your K/D doesn't reach a certain number then you're the worst player of all time. If you die too often, you'll probably be booted if you aren't playing with friends.
Oh, you've never raided before? Good luck finding any group that will let you raid with them without a lot of searching. What's that? Your grimoire (a small number that signifies how many pointless things you've found/done) isn't high enough? Booted, you're automatically bad at the game. I'm not even gonna get started on the Gally elitism, the biggest reason why I support patch 2.0.
I understand that there are friendly and helpful users on here, but they're immensely overshadowed by self-righteous pricks who think that playing anything besides nonstop Destiny makes you a worthless pile of nothing. In fact, I'd say dealing with this obnoxious community is more tedious than anything else in the game! No wonder Bungie rarely interacts with you guys; if I had a playerbase like this I'd probably release the content and not say a word!
You guys are so disgusting, so toxic, so utterly annoying that #OffTopic is a nicer place than this.

Edytowany przez użytkownika MysticalSnurtle: 7/28/2015 8:57:43 AMI agree with everything except for the not having used a weapon before and judging it, for the most part. Really and truly you cannot judge a weapon you haven't used yet just like you cannot judge a class you haven't played yet. However having said that I can see where you are coming from on that point. Certain weapons are obviously better than others just by looking at their ttk alone. However not everyone will be able to use them and realize their potential.

2 OdpowiedziSo you're mad about all the clickbait? None of them are actually serious, you make them serious.....
-
These forums are seriously toxic, but I think I've had maybe one or two bad experiences in game with randoms. Almost all of the people I meet through lfg or another means are really nice helpful people
-
Are you OK now?

2 OdpowiedziI don't say this to disparage the younger people here, as we were all young at one point, but I truly believe it is because many of the vocal users here are young children. No, not all young people are idiots or selfish dinkholes, but most people go through such a phase in life at that age. I mean, the next time you read a mentally defective post, consider the possibility that it was written by someone who is still developing. I've realized that many posts like that really do just sound like the generic nonsense that children spew out of anger or confusion. I give them the benefit of the doubt that they will grow out of it. Or if they are truly an adult, their life must honestly be quite bad if they need to validate themselves through digital superiority in a motherloving ding dang diddly video game. And if so, I feel bad and just let them have whatever perceived 'win' they receive from being so insufferable.

2 OdpowiedziAnd yet, here you are. Smh

All of those things show experience. It's like credibility. Some people take it too far. But take k/d for example. Imagine you have a 2.0 overall between all characters. Now let's say a 2.0 k/d is a 3.0 GPA. Now let's say a 1.0 or negative k/d is > a 1.5 GPA. Who do you think is going to automatically have more credibility when it comes to a certain topic ? Like I said, there are some people on here that go over board and act ignorant about that shit, but you gotta also half way understand where they're coming from as well. Lack of credibility doesn't make your opinion invalid (opinions are never invalid) but it helps you out when you're stating your opinion on something towards someone else who may not agree. If you run into people like that here on the forums, the "mute" option is your best route.

1 Odpowiedź
You guys are so disgusting, so toxic, so utterly annoying that #OffTopic is a nicer place than this.
I was right with you until this. Nothing even comes close to that cesspool.

Agreed with the whole post

You figure this out now?

2 OdpowiedziI understand your frustration, and I'm sorry you've reached breaking point. Personally, I try to: 1. Remember that most of the toxic posts are from adolescents, who have a horrible life with no control over anything in their lives, taking out their aggression here is probably better than them going out and picking fights IRL. 2. I can't make this place less toxic, except by being one of the good guys. I don't always get it right, I have ranted and written stuff I later regret, but I try to be the best person I can. After all, we're the guardians of The Traveller, and the human race. We have to look out for each other. The worst that can happen is, I'll get insults hurled at me by people. Actually, sometimes the insults are funny enough I get to reuse them. I have to say, it's not possible to offer any opinion on weapons, game development, level design or basically anything without many of the forum posting angry replies. That's a lesson I've learned here. As to raiding, remember how it is and when you're the veteran, look after the newbies, give them advice and support, and let them know they can ask questions and make mistakes without the threat of being booted. Stop trying to join other groups LFM, put your own post up and set the tone for the raid. It'll take longer, but it's much more worth doing because you don't just have a better game yourself, you help 5 other guardians have a better game, and maybe pass the attitude on.

Instead of complaining about raid groups, make your own, problem solved for the grimoire issue and no ghorn issue. Supporting 2.0 because of the ghorn nerf (that will backfire)that will not only make the elitism worse, but also add more of it due to spite, just wait and see how many "ghorn only" posts will go up because of the nerf brought on by whining. (says right in the patch notes) I have never kicked anyone from a raid group simply for dying a few times or not having ghorn as long as they could listen and learn, in fact when I ran Crota every week we would purposely grab people that didn't have ghorn and met some very good players. What I will kick people for though is not being prepared for the raid, and simply expecting to get carried whether they've run the raid once or fifty times. Maybe you're a good player and you've just had some bad luck with groups, or maybe you are just one of those entitled people that thinks you should be carried, either way making a post like this here will do nothing but make things worse.
-
Sorry.....I was polishing my Gjallerhorns. What are we talking about?
-
Don't let it get to you, you sound like you're taking it personal, which is what the trolls want
-
then leave??

You give people a place to speak, they will say stupid shit. I've never had a problem getting a raid group and my friends don't play this game. In regards to opinion not being valid unless you used something is fine. Its like giving a product review of a product you don't own. People greatly exaggerate some weapons abilities. You need to use it to make an accurate statement.
