I'm so sick of this community.
The pure elitist nature of this community makes me sick. Almost everybody on these forums seems to carry a holier-than-thou attitude like a badge on their chest.
Apparently, if you don't have 3 34s, have run both raids on normal and hard multiple times, have most if not all exotics, have run flawless Trials and have run 35 PoE, your opinion isn't valid.
Apparently you can't complain about a weapon unless you've used it. Apparently if your K/D doesn't reach a certain number then you're the worst player of all time. If you die too often, you'll probably be booted if you aren't playing with friends.
Oh, you've never raided before? Good luck finding any group that will let you raid with them without a [b]lot[/b] of searching. What's that? Your grimoire (a small number that signifies how many pointless things you've found/done) isn't high enough? Booted, you're automatically bad at the game. I'm not even gonna get started on the Gally elitism, the biggest reason why I support patch 2.0.
I understand that there are friendly and helpful users on here, but they're immensely overshadowed by self-righteous pricks who think that playing anything besides nonstop Destiny makes you a worthless pile of nothing. In fact, I'd say dealing with this obnoxious community is more tedious than anything else in the game! No wonder Bungie rarely interacts with you guys; if I had a playerbase like this I'd probably release the content and not say a word!
You guys are so disgusting, so toxic, so utterly annoying that #OffTopic is a nicer place than this.

What happened to us? Was it the incoming new assholes ? The 10 year olds? What happened? Or the fact that this game isn't the easiest in the world. I wish I knew.

About to run the black garden mission on hard, must be lvl 34 with the flawless trials emblem, must have beaten both vog and crota hard 50+ times solo. And must have a kd of 15+ in crucible. 4 OdpowiedziThere was a guy on LFG the other day, looking for other players to to ToO, and he just wanted to stop other players going flawless "for the lulz" -blam!-ing players on this game are a serious joke with their elitism, especially grimoire scores. I personally couldn't care how many ghosts you've found or whether youve killed 2000 level 4 dregs with a shotgun while balancing one handed on your sparrow.

This community is turning into the elitist community that it was during Halo at its prime and any other "competitive" game on the market. (NOTE the quotes. Destiny is far from being truly competitive as recent and soon to come games are starting to focus on skill gap compression, usually involving some form of intentional netcode lag to make even the worst of players/average players, the majority, catch up to the truly skilled and "Elitist" players with corner shots. I personally haven't experienced this in Destiny. I have experienced no matchmaking what so ever based on skill. So I can conclude myself that the competitive nature that the Destiny community is feeling is just an illusion. On a side note: Pure "RNG" odds for gear is ridiculous as I find the incentive to actually try disappearing from my play styles. Currently I use whatever weapon is at the Top of the "OP" charts. If its Thorn for trials/PvP, or gigglyhorn for PvE. The more likely I can win gun battles the better.) Talking 2.0 gun balancing, I will just use whatever I can to assure my victories be in strikes, poe, whatever TTK gives us, and ofcourse PvP. If they "nerf" thorn, my dot will just be more op as I can 2-3 shot, stack the dot, bleed him out as I'm behind cover. (as the dot will now do 8 per tick ~ roughly, with just 3 shots from thorn, body or head. increasing tick damage and DoT kill potential.) Nerfing gigglyhorn is the same as saying, "But really, gally will still be the king of rockets. We just want boss fights to not be demolished by 14 gally rockets from 3 or 6 fireteam members each. Our bosses are bullet sponges but you kill them too fast." Giggleshorn will always be top tier rocket exotic FOR BOSS ENCOUNTERS. Truth along with Dragons Breaths' AoE (blast radius) is higher than gally so great for Crowd controlling. Now I have been lucky to have most exotics except for suros, vex, and black hammer (even if its not an exotic I have yet to get it.). This is just how I see the upcoming 2.0 nerf. I don't agree with the Icebreaker recharge being moved from 5 - 8 seconds as it only holds 6 rounds maximum to begin with. Or with black hammers change as the whole purpose for chasing it is White Nail and its "Ability to end boss encounters only rivaled by icebreaker.". It'll still be a good sniper after the fact but, it will no longer be black hammer. Back to the elitist thing. Do not take 5-10% of the community as the whole. Always remember, there will be trolls amongst forums and people that will be just plain asses.

1 OdpowiedźGrow a thicker skin.. I guess it's true that people now a days are wayyy too sensitive.. If you hate those type of players, here's a concept... Don't play with them.. I meet more players through the actual game then the forums. Takes the same amount of time and effort. Send game invites, friend requests, and messages to random players in tower, strikes, etc.. Pretty simple. But I guess it's easier to complain then look for other options. As in for opinions on the forums lol it doesn't matter cause majority of the posts are trolls or attention whores. Say your peace and if you get someone that has good opinions reply. If you get the usual phrases or comments then mute them and move on..

Dont get caught up in the forum bs. Prob only about 15-20% of players even come here. Even the majority of people that come on here are nice folks. It just sucks because the worst ones are usually the most vocal. Most of the people I meet in game are great and fun to play with. You shouldn't generalize based on the loudest d-bags on here :)

Nah my opinion is just if people are asking for nerfs when They're k/D is below 1.0. Than their opinion is invalid. To many people complaining That shouldn't be complaining. That's The only thing bothering me. For The rest i'm all happiness. Raid with newcomers. Trials with newcomers. Doesn't matter. They need to learn some time.

You should ask yourself why this community is so septic. So many people are frustrated and disappointed with the game, they take it out on the forums. Only way to improve forum quality is to: [spoiler]fix the damn game and don't charge $70NZD for a BS weeks worth of content[/spoiler]

1 Odpowiedźim became an elitist because ive grinded this game rather than bitching about it yeah finding a raid group was difficult i started playing in April but i worked hard now i can just solo Crota so instead of being a lil bitch and trolling put in hours like most of did to get where we are

Those are all valid reasons to not be let in A fire team. Trying to go flawless well come body has to know how, killing atheon somebody needs to know how, crota, PoE, IB, grimoire. They all show how much skill you have
