Chapter 8.3.1 - Immolation
Igneous, Abyssal Colonies
The Battle of the Abyss has been raging for 29 hours straight, and with no end in sight. 33% of the planet's surface is in flames, and utterly destroyed. Of the 26 billion souls that enhabited the planet, only 7 billion remain, but over 60% of that number has been captured for a sinister purpose - to feed the Summoner's Legion.
"Begin the sacrifices." Says the Summoner, who sits on his throne aboard the Bloodwrath, and still hovering over planet Igneous. Simultaneously, all over planet Igneous, citizens and soldiers of the Imperium are slaughtered like cattle within the many bastions that were deployed in the initial assault. The sacrifices continue into the night.
Meanwhile...
Commander Libreous-Tibrarium, the Wolfpack, Ømen, and the rogue Inquisitor, Brimstone arrive to one of the last remaining, Imperium strongholds on Igneous.
"The Summoner has started the sacrifices, we have to delay his progress! After they are finished here, planet Regloth will be next, then nothing will stand between chaos and Terra... We must buy time for Regloth to fortify, or all will be lost!" Broadcasts Libreous on all frequencies.
Meanwhile on planet Regloth, the Mechanicum are preparing the planet for war. Giant earth movers have transformed the planet into a fortress world, and an entire legion of Titans dig in and prepare to stop the Summoner's forces. (Not titans like the game Titan Fall, google warhammer titans - there's a big difference)
Libreous-Tibrarium prepares to join the fight, he is eager to meet the Legion of Darkness.
Open Post. You may resume your battle posts here, but shift your focus to the bastions.
If you haven't already gotten yours, then soon you will be given your own kill team, use them with your main character. And remember, there is an endless supply of enemies, and planet Igneous WILL fall for plot related purposes.
Nova and Ryker land right next to each other in the middle of conflict. They had similar fighting styles and fought back to back. Nova didn't wield a sword rather he used his claws. They were sharp enough to rend through any armor the soldiers of Chaos wore. Ribbons of blood and flesh spray on and around Nova as he crushed his enemies skulls. He goes into a blood rage that can't be stopped, all sword and weapons just deflecting off of his armor. He rips one legionnaires throat out then kicks another one onto the charging sword of yet another, who stumbles as his comrades body stops his charge. Nova walks over and steps on his head, skull and brain batter squirting out on the ground, adding to the already red ground. Ryker was on the other side, using his more graceful fighting style. He ducked under a heavy axe swing and cuts the knee from the Chaos soldier out from under him. He goes to his knee and Ryker comes back up spinning his sword severing the head from the body. It was so fast the head stayed on the corpse for a second, until Ryker kicked the body and the head tumbled to the ground to be crushed under an allied boot. Blood pumps out in rivers from the body as Ryker moves to the next soldier, sprinting straight at him. As he approaches the legionnaire, he jumps up, his arc was going to land him right on top of the soldier. His suits HUD auto assessed a sniper aiming at him from afar, his high powered .50 calibre sniper rifle aimed at his suits head. His auto rail gun deploys, sending a round straight through the would be assassins head, blood spraying across the wall. As soon as the rail gun fires Ryker plunges his sword into the unsuspecting foe, his sword going at a downward angle straight through his chest. He grapples at the sword point, then Ryker uses his back as a launch board brutally ripping the weapon vertically out, essentially cutting him in half. Ryker admires his work as the soldier falls into two barely connected pieces. "Hm. Split decision."

As Libreous steps forward a black figures stepped forward. It appears it had snuck on his ship and now decided to show its face "Libreous-Tibrarium. Your civilization spreads far does it not?"
-
Libreous is covered in blood from his recent conflict. "The Imperium's destiny has always been to spread through the stars, yes"
-
"Unfortunate. We will have to destroy all those stars now. It would have been easier if you ended before you spread."
-
Libreous turns towards you, his gauss capacitors ignite his emerald green power field - his gauntlets burst into green flames. His sinister looking, mechanical eyes of his helmet glow fiercely - his mechanical jade colored pupils contrast slightly with the emerald eyes. "You couldn't stop us of you tried.."
-
The figure sticks out its hand and reveals a holographic image of several things. It is a mix of structure, types of what appear to be warriors and soldiers and weapons. All are unknown and don't appear in any database or history. "Do you want to know what these are? Civilizations. Ones that existed in the past and ones that will exist in the future. You know what they all share? They all were built and fell on the same ground the Imperium stands on. It's inevitable. It has become so corrupted nothing can save you. The city and its stars are drowning in its own blood, and the ones that learned to swim are the ones shedding the blood."

Shadow dances with death. *Her sword brings death as she slips through the chaos lines. She slips into a semi-trance like state, the trademark Battle-Rage of the Sidhe. She slips through the shadows to strike from behind, deep black clouds rising in her wake. Nothing that it touches lives.*

Mako Runs across the rooftops, looking for anything to dispatch, his Naginta swaying with each step
-
Python runs around the battlefield, conserving what little ammunition he has left. He has resorted to melee combat and tricking the enemies by now. He feels no fatigue, weakness. In fact, the movement seems to have make him stronger, faster and even more ferocious. As he rips a Chaos Legionnaire in half, his squad covers him. Python gets the idea to scavenge for ammo. His metallic skin is riddled with small and medium-sized tears. The insides sparking and eventually closing. He finishes getting some ammo and begins shooting.
-
A nearby bastion opens fire on you and your men, 2 die instantly as intense energy beams immolate them - one of the beams strikes you, center mass. You're catapulted up into the air, body smoking. Artillery begins to rain down on your men.
-
Python watches as his soldiers are slowly mortared into submission and eventually death. He lands on small group of demons. The demons start striking him but Python is mad now. He begins crushing the demons' skulls with his hands, the butt of his gun and even other demons. When the immediate area is clear, he starts towards the bastion, mowing down anything in his path.
-
A hail of gunfire staggers you violently, and you feel a static charge in the air - something huge is targeting you..
-
Python quickly figures it must be the (space?) laser again and starts sprinting towards the bastion, his internal systems working harder than ever to repair his skin.
-
A massive laser turret fires on you, the catastrophic impact sends you skidding across the ground for the length of a football field - a smoking crater blown into your chest. The laser turret charges again
-
Python looks down at the crater and shakes his head. He is growing madder and madder. The systems begin repairing themselves nearly instantly. He gets up and begins growing. Soon within a few steps he is standing over the entire bastion and he kicks it, destroying a large number of there forces.
-
*your size attracts the attention of the Summoner. He sends fighter ships on your location. 15 Dragon class fighters head your way* *thousands of chaos legionnaires in the area shift their attention towards you. Millions of rounds slam into you at all angles - chewing their way into your flesh* *moments later, 15 trios of corkscrewing missiles detonate against your chest as the fighter ships streak by you at mach 2 - your giant form is blasted to the ground. The shockwave from the explosions shatters every piece of glass within 10 miles*
-
Python stands again, swiping at the fighters when he is standing. He easily catches 8 of them and crushes them. The other fighters keep shooting, doing small amounts of damage. The internal systems keep working, fixing themselves faster than the fighters can do damage. He starts kicking at buildings, crushing anything caught in the rubble, he steps onto each pile. Python keeps his pressure on the other 7 fighters.
-
You have the Summoner's full attention. The Bloodwrath targets you - it prepares to destroy you, taking half the city with it. The sacrifices will be lost in this sector, but you must be stopped. (Your threat level is too high - the Bloodwrath will destroy you if you become too powerful) More fighters approach
-
A very well placed shot forces Python to return to his normal height and continue fighting. He keeps shooting, moving and killing.
-
You lose the attention of the Bloodwrath. The bastion is just ahead. You see a section in the wall that looks weak
-
Python gets a running head start and jumps into the wall, cannonball shape. He busts through the wall, shooting.
-
*inside the wall, you see the sacrifices taking place.. Demons approach you*
-
Python continues shooting. As a demon closes in, his magazine runs dry and he bashes the demon's head in against the wall he just broke through. Seeing a little time, Python reloads his rifle with his last magazine and starts shooting again.
-
Moments later, a tremendous impact hammers into the wall from outside - it collapses. A 21ft tall, Draconic warrior steps through the gaping hole, his white glowing eyes cast conical beams of hazy light through the smoke and dust. Ømen looks in your direction briefly before charging through the horde - leaving bloody, trampled bodies in his wake. His giant shockmaul slams into the ground, creating a AOE blastwave of energy that radiates outward and launches everything within 50 feet through the air, only to splatter against the wall like insects hitting the windshield of a fighter jet. He motions you to follow
-
Python nods and runs after Ømen.
