I'm going to get hate for this but bungie/ Activision is the problem. They don't care about the game or the community. The only thing they want is our money.
The original game was terrible, no story, broken raids, and excessive grinding. The dark below was 20 dollars that gave us vog with a hive theme. Nothing good and still no decent campaign. And then how came along and that wasted another $20 to give us a survival mode that every other shooter game comes with at launch and they made us pay extra for it and it wasn't even good! And then their was trials and all that was was skirmish but it was slightly different.
Bungie hasn't given us any good dlc and all it was is game modes that other games have for free. I could go into so many other issues such as bungie not listening to the community and how they forced is to play how they wanted us to play. What I said earlier is why I don't planning on buying the dlc. The only way to get the game we were promised is if other people take this stance and bungie realizes that we won't be pushed around by their greediness any longer. Please don't buy the dlc until after it gets reviewed. We can stop bungie from trying to take our money if we refuse to put up with them.
If you think about it, in year one we spent 100 dollars in a game that was missing crucial parts of a decent game. I'm year 2 they are going to charge us 80 more dollars to keep playing the game. Please don't by ttk until we find out if it is actually going and please let me know what you think in the comments. Sorry for any spelling mistakes.

84 OdpowiedziThe Taken King Hello dear Guardians. We are so happy to announce our next, biggest release to the universe of Destiny! You faced his son in The Dark Below. you triumphed over fear that consumed the minds of every last human. Now, He comes for you. Oryx, The Taken King. In this widely spread expansion, you'll be finding many surprises that await ahead of you. First off, we have The Dreadnought. A vast ship that's a whole patrol on its own! You'll explore a seemingly large area, almost the size of Earth patrol or Venus! While in The Dreadnought, you'll uncover hidden secrets and treasure that await you. Not only that, but you'll also experience our largest raid yet! Here on the Dreadnought itself. Did we also mention Phobos? here on Phobos, Mars moon, you'll take on a set of completely new missions. Not only will you be faced with new missions, but with newly designed enemies, while yes they are just old enemies renewed, their abilities are far different. Along with our most prized expansion to date, you'll also get to experience a couple more strikes, now with dynamic boss battles! Aside from just a new raid, story missions, and a new patrol area, you'll also find that there is a new line a loot waiting to be collected! We are finally introducing the three weapon manufacturers: Hakke, Omolon, and Suros. Each will have their own line of designed weapons to be set out and deployed by you, the Guardian. Along with that, there will be a ton of new legendaries and, everyones favorite, Exotics as well! The factions will be more involved with their own set of weapons as well along with the Gunsmith who will provide further use to you than before! Did we also mention class weapons? Another on look to what awaits you, we are also introducing a new subclass to each character! Now you can shift the way you play even more with these newly fitting subclasses: Sunbreaker, Stormcaller, and Nightstalker. Not only are you going to experience a new subclass for each character, but we're also introducing a couple of new weapon types! More information about those will be unveiled soon. Overall through our next biggest release you're looking at: - A new, long, and difficult raid waiting to be looted by Guardians. - A whole new vast patrol area. - Phobos, a new area for missions and possibly patrol. - A few new innovated strikes featuring dynamic boss battles. - A new and large line of legendary and exotic gear to be acquired. - A few new crucible maps. - A couple of new crucible game modes. - A new subclass for each character. - A couple new weapon types. And so much more! All this is being brought to you by Bungie, working hard to bring you the next latest installment to Destiny! All of this was not easy, however. It took time, and effort. Still calling us money hungry? Think again.

1 OdpowiedźDONT TELL ME HOW TO LIVE MY LIFE! *buts TTK blindly*
-
I hate that there are legitimate questions being asked on these forums in a sea of complaints and no one from Bungie replies to them unless the question is directed at how to purchase DLC/expansion or any question money wise. Ive played many games where there is staff answering questions around the clock, shows the community that they care, I don't see that here.
-
Who is buying TTK blindly here? If you're dumb/smart enough to be on these forums, then you can probably read the news, and you probably check out Destiny news on other sites. By "you" I mean the average forum poster, not the OP. Instead people should answer a few simple questions: 1. Have you enjoyed your time in Destiny? Yes - probably should by TTK. No - Skip it and play other games. 2. Are you excited for the new subclasses, raid, game modes, GUNS, and other new stuff in TTK? Yes- probably will buy it. No - Skip it and play other games. 3. Are you here on the forums all the time complaining about a game you put 1,000 hours into in less than a year for whatever justified or unjustified reasons? Yes - might need a break. No - Then you may not be reading this! It's a pretty simple thing to do: Determine if you have enjoyed the game thus far and would like to pay $40 more for the next part. If you feel like paying for the TTK is going to further the decline of modern gaming, then spend your money else where. Take a boy or girl you like on a date (reasonable date!). Go buy a few movies to watch. Go buy some toys for your kid or yourself. Go buy and play another game. Gamespot has a great list of daily deals for gaming. I'm not a blind sheep. I realize pretty accurately what Activision is doing. I know that Bungie is stuck between a rock (the community) and a hard place (Activision). But I enjoy the game. I like meeting new folks in LFG and stuff. I like playing my alts and shooting aliens in the face repeatedly. Those Devil Walkers NEVER get old! I always have a small rush of "Yeah!" when I see one die. Destiny isn't a game for everyone, and that's OK. Activision is trying to squeeze every drop of money out of us for content. That does suck. But I really, really enjoy playing. So I'm OK with that. If the game stops being fun, I'll be done with it.

i bought it for 60, i didnt buy the dlc or anything so yeah im getting a great deal!
-
If you don't like it so much then don't buy it. Just because some people feel "shorted" doesn't mean everyone does. I love Destiny and am looking forward to TTK and beyond.
-
4 OdpowiedziI'm planning on buying it because so far I've gotten pretty much what I've expected with each purchase. I may end up being disappointed but until that happens, I do no reason to expect it. It's really no different than pre-ordering any other game. You don't know what you are going to think of a game until you play it for yourself. If I felt like I've been screwed over already, it would be a different story
-
Just look at the way there marketing it if you think it's gonna justify being the same price as vannila destiny, there just trying to sell hype. Most games will tell you everything that's included In a dlc and let it sell it's self instead of spending obscene amounts of money on marketing trying to get people to pre order it 3 months before it releases by offering players new -blam!-ing dance moves. I'll wait till it's been out 2/3 weeks and ask people if it's worth £40 read reviews ect
-
2 OdpowiedziI don't think its bungie, I think its Activision. Bungie for one hired a voice for us, and even more so in previous games did give us good games. I think Activision wanted to break up the game. I still enjoy destiny so so much especially with my friends. I never find it Grundy, maybe hard to get etheric light which is the first thing I have found really. The story, yeah it was short and they need more game for the amount they ask for. But that is not bungie. Its Activision I'm sure of it.

1 OdpowiedźHonestly... Most people, including myself, are gonna buy this even if the reviews aren't great. The reason is there just isn't any competition right now for Destiny. They know even if it's mediocre, that it will sell like crazy because there is no other good option for people who like shooters mixed with MMOs (or MMO elements). The Division might force Destiny up there game though... Nothing quite like a good dose of competition to make companies put more money and care into there product. But the Division is a little too late. Bungie knows that the first to market in a brand new MMO-type game is gonna outlast the others because we've put so much time into it before the competition comes out, that it will be too hard to give up our 2-year old Guardians for a new version. That's probably why they cut content and rushed this out the door. It is THAT important that they were first to market. Oh well... I'm still going to pre-order because I know I'm going to play it regardless. I've enjoyed my time playing with my friends too much not to have it on DAY 1 and have to wait a week for the review to happen (and honestly it should take longer than a week for a full review because I doubt the Raid will be available for the first week or so)

2 OdpowiedziPersonally every dollar Iv spent on this game has been more than worth it

If you don't like it then that's on you. Me, I love destiny. I'm going to blindly buy ttk and I've only looked at one vid for it. I'm going to be so blind I'm going to have a blindfold and sunglasses at night.
-
<Has 300 hrs played <Has watched >5min of ttk content <takes 2/3 of total money <goes to gamestop <buys collectors edition
-
lolololol already ordered it blindly
-
28 OdpowiedziI'm ordering it. I'm a doctor. I think I can afford it. Lol. When you get older you'll see that 40 bucks means nothing to most ppl.
-
Then wtf are you doing here? If it's such a terrible game why are you posting on these forums? Seriously man. Get a life. Stop defining your life by this game. If you think it's so terrible then move on. Stop trying to recruit other people so your ridiculous pov can be validated.
-
The story was alright, VoG was buggy but awesome, TDB was disappointing, but the raid was fun, HoW fixed so much stuff but gave us too much gear too easily. Year one was a learning experience for Bungie. Year two will likely have some of the same issues, but I think it will be better overall. Year three will be the game changer when they actually release Destiny "2" I'm not going to excuse the fumbles of the 1.X releases, but they weren't by any means awful. The hate train was long and profitable, and everyone jumped on board.
-
2 OdpowiedziYeah but don't hate it blindly either.
-
5 OdpowiedziSo fixing bugs and glitches is forcing you to play as they want you to play? Destiny actually has a very indepth story if you bothered to actuallly pay attention. All MMO style games are all about grinding to get stuff. I never played much of Battlefield, except for a bit of 3 but that game didn't have any horde mode in it. As a matter of fact the only only FPS games i ever really seen horde mode in is C.o.D with zombies and aliens, and C.o.D makes you buy dlc packs to get all the parts of the horde mode. Everything you posted has 0 facts behind it and is all your personal opinion. When you can actually back up your whining and crying with facts then try again, but try harder. Stupid Monkey.
