I am sorry but, for the casual person, Skolas is a f#cking nightmare!!!!!
It's not his health that's the problem, it's other stuff that happen at once.... Either remove the poison or mines. The best compromise would be to HALF the amount of adds....
Edit1: I see that most of the "git gud" crowd haven't done him since the pre burn nerf.....
Just saying......
Edit2: I can't thank most of you enough for all the tips and strategies that you have given me. TRUE GUARDIANS!!! The "git gud" crowd and the "play another game" crowd can GTFO......

Just keep trying and I suggest you should watch some strategy guides if you haven't already, it may help you out. My only advice I have that may be useful is Communication, it's arguably the most important thing, if you can't communicate effectively with your team then you will be at a major disadvantage

I'm a casual player and I did skolas first try with no burns, I was also with a friend who hadn't done it either, it took us 17 minutes to kill Skolas, and one of us didn't have a Gjallarhorn

5 OdpowiedziIt helps to have each class. Defender titan, sunsinger warlock, bladedance hunter. Communication is key. Ive done skolas several times, and i have to say getting to the boss is the hardest part. Skolas is pure communication, and being smart.

Killed him first time today, none of us had gjally. It really just takes good communication with teammates. It took less than hour

And for the non casuals skolas is a waste of time.

1 OdpowiedźMake sure to stand next to your other 2 casual teammates. Rub your dockers together when the poison gets to 5 seconds.

Communication is the most important thing in the fight, the mines spawn when his health drops low enough and the adds don't spawn continuously so once you get to the poison part try to establish a good rhythm for poison passing, adds clearing and map movement so that it's almost second nature, once you're all comfortable keeping the poison moving between you all the fight becomes significantly easier.

Try to have at least one self res. then, if necessary, when someone has the poison and is about to die, a warlock can kill themselves and self red, then they won't be immune and can take the poison.

Just gotta be patient it's not that difficult once you get the hang of it

6 OdpowiedziThis is part of the problem with destiny. You basically said "Players that aren't that good can't do what's supposed to be the hardest thing in the game. It should be made easier" Maybe they should just add a weak difficulty for everyone that doesn't want to actually learn how to play. That way you guys can just play buttercup mode and stop whining about the highest difficulty part of the game being a challenge.

Rotate when it gets hairy or skolas charges you. Swap poison at 5 seconds and don't be scared to let someone die within just to reset the cycle if things are getting hectic. Most importantly though, just kill adds as soon as they spawn. We ignore skolas til there's nothing else left.

I agree with the fact that it is really hard. But it's supposed to be. Right now it is literally supposed to be the hardest thing in the game. You know what I'm saying.

3 OdpowiedziAs a filthy casual myself I kind of agree and don't at the same time. I have never killed him but the fight its self never really changes. I think the biggest issue is finding a group through the forums that communicates. So many times someone will die because they won't tell you to take the poison. Normally it happens during mines because thats what they are focusing on. Now maybe if I had a gally I could get into some of the more experienced groups. I might almost be willing to give Red Bull codes just to beat him for the year one emblem.....

7 OdpowiedziGTFO of this game, Its whiney scrubs like you that cause everyting to get nerfed. Whenever I have to play the strike and I get to valus ta'aurc I feel so sorry for him as he is a complete and utter joke of a boss since all the whiney people got his health cut in half.

lower first amount of health by unloading after killing servitor kill ads lower health more dismantle mines and kill ads again lower health kill ads lower health dismantle mines kill ads kill skolas

Just take your time. And be prepared before you take him down past 50 percent and 25 percent t health. Be in good places with the poison where you want it before you spawn mines.
