If you read this post, you will see so many connections from destiny to the true tyrants of video games.
Lets start with the campain levels.
1. Repetitive but impressive visual moments.
2. A 7-8 hour campaign thats including the levels from TDB HoW at max levels while your at minimum level
3. No story in the actual game.
Now for the crucible:
1. Using op tactics to crush opposition.
2. High dps weapons.
3. Using powerfull move against a single target, only to be killed by another.
4. Track of killstreaks (lots of other games do it, but it still connects)
Last and not least, DLC
1. To get a certain goal, you must order the dlc before you can get it. Example: you had to have The Dark Below if you wanted to get to level 32
2. Certain weapons could only be obtained by DLC
3. Gear or cosmetics were only obtainable through DLC.
Do you know what all of this connects to?
ACTIVISION AND CALL OF DUTY!!!!!
Campaign:
1. Lots of the levels were the same just had great visuals, only exception was Black Ops 2
2. Most of the time the campaign would take 7-8 hours to finish
3. There is no story in the Cod Campaign.
PVP
1. Spam of UAVs and drop shooters hinds etc. op tactics
2. High dps weapons
3. Use a rocket launcher on 1 guy that doesn't have flak jacket, get killed by another
Dlc:
1. To get all the weapons starting in black ops 2 you needed dlc
2. Peacekeeper, all the other stuff were dlc required
3. Certain cosmetics only through dlc
You see now? ITS ACTIVISION!!!!!! BUNGIE SUCKS WITH ACTIVISION!
Edit: im sorry for that rant, i just had to get that out of me. Most people just blame only bungie, yes they made the game, but publishers have some power to a game, lots of people seem to forget that. An example.
Names are activision and bungie
There is 2 teams of bullies that came up with a sceme, then bungie got caught, however acvtivision sneaks away before bungie got caught. So he lives happily ever after while bungie gets rained with rage.
Once again im sorry for my stupidity.

I originally thought that no one would see this. :o

2 Odpowiedziwell yea but CoD is trash and so is activision, you don't even use guns in CoD, you use internet connection to win.
-
Yes, but Bungie is lacking bollocks to tell Activision no. Who knows though? TTK could be good?
-
Yes there is call of duty in my halo. I understood this since forever. The problem is unlike peanut butter and chocolate. I and most peeps dont want these two together. Nobody likes the cash cow activision has become. Even EA is starting to do better by there consumers and they used to be considered the Satan of the video game publishers I like destiny, but i definatley see the call of duty flaws in it.

2 OdpowiedziMany guardians will agree that Activision is the main greedy one in this partnership. However there is a keyword in that sentence : Partnership Bungie and Activision contract process is not one sided agreement. We , gamers , know Activision and their principles for a long time , surely we ca all expect Bungie knew this also. These kind of contract agreements takes time ,two sided back forth discussions , debates changes. Both companies legal representatives went over all little details. Yes Activision is the one to be blamed , however Bungie is also as guilty as Activision because they knew what kind of situation they were putting themselves and Destiny at. This is not one side agreement , both companies agree to put this product in front of us.

21 OdpowiedziYou cannot put this all at the feet of Activision. While I'm sure they are culpable for at least some of the issues, mainly the pricing, marketing and possibly the strategy of the release of additional content they are not entirely to blame. Bungie as the developer is just as guilty on their end as well. From map design to weapon balance in PvP to the obvious lack of weapon testing to the failure to separate PvP damage models from PvE damage models to lackluster community relations to story,or lack there of. At this point you might start realizing that the nuts and bolts of Destiny lies squarely on the shoulders of Bungie and there development team. Thus the failure in part or as a whole must be placed on the Bungie team themselves. In my opinion from what I have witnessed so far since DAY ONE has not been the product of a multi-million dollar investment in the development of a possible 10 year game. My theory is that the boasted 500 million cost at least in part went to set up of new design studios and the required hardware after the split with Microsoft and the newly formed off shoot currently working on the HALO series. For me this explains the server issues currently being experienced in Crucible, which is all entirely based on matchmaking. I also believe that the lack of optional matchmaking so prevalent in every other multi-player offering is due largely to the fact that Bungie simply lacks the the resources ( servers ) to implement just such an option. Might also explain the reliance on emojis and the lack of proximity communication either in the social areas or in the wild. It's simply a lack of resources. I also believe that at least in a small part that the new Bungie team also lacks the know how and or man power needed to address some of these issues. Possibly but who knows. It might also explain the less than timely fixes to the game which seems to stretch into weeks or months or none at all. Now some of the above mentioned faults may also lie in the lap of Activision if they are the ones holding the purse strings. The goal of any business is profit,if you can make a profit and continue to profit while keeping overhead at a bare minimum than why invest more than you have to. For instance new or additional servers in order to provide options that the community not only wants but deserves. Again though if this is the issue Bungie is just as much to blame. They are equally culpable in the use as well as the publisher, judging from recent articles,of fully embracing all the newest player baiting and manipulation of sub-conscience behaviors (carrot on a stick,RNG,timed reward ect.) by actually hiring phd's to implement the newest discoveries and inserting them into the game. (If you have been on the forums long enough you know which articles to which I'm referring). In conclusion hopefully you will see that Bungie has their share of blame as well as Activision in the product that has so many of us investing time and money into.

1 OdpowiedźBungie should have done a go fund me campaign then still there fault

3 OdpowiedziDestiny does not have a 7-8 hours story lol. 2 hours max. You must suck.

1 OdpowiedźEdytowany przez użytkownika Jarac Rassen: 7/24/2015 3:08:49 PMBungie signed on with Activision in the first place. They must share the blame. They could have stayed independent, gone to Kickstarter if they were really strapped for cash. But nope. They signed with the devil, willingly.

7 OdpowiedziU are forgetting one important detail, No one FORCED bungie's hand to deal with Activision. They all had copies of the agreement and knew exactly what they were getting in to by doing so - u can't blame one and not the other.

8 OdpowiedziBungie had a lot more set before Activision came along and took control. And to those that think the publisher has no control of what goes in a game, you are dead wrong. As the publishers are more often the ones funding the game, they have the say of what does or doesn't go in to the game. The designers merely make the game and bring the ideas, if they are rejected by the publisher, then they do not get to see the light of day. Sad how a great company can be so compressed and made to look bad because of a well known evil that is known as Activision.

4 OdpowiedziI'm going to the university that 7 of the graduates that work on destiny got their degree from. People there knew about destiny before it was rumored in public. Bungie knew they didn't have a story and they rush the content for the $500 million contract. Yes they knew the concept was huge and couldn't deliver. But good thing Activision kicks ass in Marketing and Advertising. Full Sail University Fullsail.edu

1 OdpowiedźOh yes indeed, for listening to all the idiots and begin implementing lazy, destructive, regressive changes, bringing shame to the game.

1 OdpowiedźEdytowany przez użytkownika GeminiSnakev2: 7/21/2015 8:25:31 AMNo shit Sherlock, that's obvious, but bungie is has the ability to patch though. 200 days without a balance patch is too long. Plus bungie devs think we will throw money at are TV for a slow clap.......... They are both at fault.

4 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika TheLordCypher: 7/25/2015 2:27:24 PMLucky for me I never played Halo or COD. So I'm happy to say this will be my first and last dealings with either of these companies. Bungie has loss all credibility they had off of Halo. Activision will continue to ruin games as they have for years. I blame both but I don't care. I will play destiny until I tire of it but will make sure to never support these companies again.

1 OdpowiedźThe black ops series has a great story. Destiny does not. The call of duty dlc is not required to continually enjoy the game. Not true for Destiny. Destiny sucks. Call of duty has had multiple games that did not. Guess bungie just made a shit game.
-
1 OdpowiedźThey are both to blame. This game is done
-
1 OdpowiedźWho chose to use activision? Bungie did. So yes Bungie is to blame but nice try fan boy.

1 OdpowiedźEdytowany przez użytkownika The Dude: 7/26/2015 3:58:56 PMActivision funded the game...they didnt make it. Neither do they enforce any rules...but Bungie doesnt either. Bungie takes the blame squarely on the jaw.

1 OdpowiedźIf you put your name on a product, you are accountable for the quality of said product. Bungie may not be the cause of all of Destiny's problems, but if they allowed it to happen then they share the blame.
-
9 OdpowiedziJoseph staten would probably have a different opinion lol.
-
1 Odpowiedźif you do bad stuff for your boss, youre still the one doing bad stuff....
-
16 OdpowiedziActivision publishes the game. Bungie decides on what to do with the game. It's bungies fault
-
2 OdpowiedziCOD has a story line. Destiny guns are all based off perks. Players who have only played PVP on Destiny will find it hard playing something like COD or Battlefield. Think Activision n Bungie are both to blame for this mess of a game.
