2014 E3 Interview with DeeJ concerning Destiny with Angry Joe.
In this video, Joe asks a lot of great questions and DeeJ gives a lot of great answers. Only problem is, NONE OF WHAT HE SAID WAS IN THE ACTUAL GAME!
1: Hours upon hours upon hours of story... Where? Where were all these hours of story that was supposed to be in our $60 purchase? Obviously, this is BEFORE all the crap happened that resulted in the horrible, incomplete version of the game that we actually ended up getting at launch. Because we were apparently SUPPOSED to be able to unravel the mysteries of what happened with the collapse. But we don't, clearly. Instead, we get next to no story which takes 3-4 hours to beat and literally NOTHING regarding the Collapse itself and what in the hell happened or even any kind of explanation on just what the hell is the Darkness.
2: HOW MUCH TIME ARE WE GOING TO SPEND RESCUING PEOPLE!? NONE! NO TIME AT ALL BECAUSE THERE IS NO ONE TO -blam!-ING RESCUE! You OBVIOUSLY had MORE for us to do in the "open world" aspect of this game, but yet here we are a YEAR LATER and STILL NOTHING! Unless you're talking about the players, but that's just -blam!-ing stupid. I don't recall at any point in time rescuing a single player or needing to be rescued myself. So if you're referring to this? Yeah, no. That was really not thought out at all. Especially when you're only seeing 1-3 people (assuming you see anyone...) in these areas.
3: Clans serve no actual purpose in this game. There is no "Clan Content" for Destiny. The factions at the Tower play no role in anything and clans are little more than glorified friend lists.
4: WHERE IS THE LEGENDARY DIFFICULTY!? Instead you go with different "Difficulty Levels" with the Heroic Modifier and that's it. There was definitely a lot more to do with this system before but that got changed or thrown out completely at some point prior to launch.
5: The Vault of Glass takes less than an hour...
6: You talk so highly about the loot, about the weapons and armor that we get and how we should always have a memory attached to them. And yet, you try so hard to render those memories pointless by making everything obsolete, to force people to keep trading up and getting new stuff. To keep that grind going to extend play hours. Is that the "hours upon hours" that we were told? Cause that has zero to do with story. I mean, DeeJ even contradicts himself by saying Bungie wants you to feel attached to your weapons, but then he says in the Polygon Interview that they think it would be boring to be attached to a weapon for 10 years. And in addition to that point, why in the hell are YOU deciding for ANY OF US what we think would be considered boring? Isn't that OUR decision to make?
7: You promised us a large, complete game with all kinds of content back in September. There are people who claim that Destiny is a 10 year game and its being built over time. But they don't know jack shit. Period. BUNGIE SAID SEPTEMBER. We were going to be given a FULL GAME and a FULL STORY in "S-E-P-T-E-M-B-E-R". NEVER. -blam!-ING. HAPPENED.
Yes, this is an old video. This interview was back in 2014. But you know what? This is important. Its important to REMEMBER the past and learn from it. You should never just forget anything. Back in 2014, you guys (Bungie) obviously had a lot MORE for everyone in the works. You had a greater ambition and scope for this game. WHAT HAPPENED!?
Its a YEAR LATER... After TTK, players will have spent at LEAST $140. That is a seriously ridiculous price tag for a game that has yet to deliver on any of this. Our original $60 was supposed to be way more than what it was. We got stiffed, and then sold Dark Below and House of Wolves for $40 together. You've already got your $40 that you're asking for TTK.
Destiny does not have a satisfying beginning, middle or end. Its got a grind fest with no actual context to it. And you KEEP SAYING YOU HEAR US but yet I'm having a REAL HARD TIME believing that. It seems like the only time there's any kind of acknowledgement is when what is being said could potentially be a huge PR disaster. Otherwise, we just get the silent treatment. Some have even been getting the "shut up or else" treatment, apparently. There was one dude who had his thread locked and awaiting "Ninja Justice" and all he was doing was expressing his disapproval of the Gally nerf and trying to do something pro-active about it.
That being said, there's still PLENTY of people still feeling ignored. And this whole nonsense regarding trending topics is not helping your PR in the least.
Get your shit together. Now.
EDIT: This thread is on FIRE yo, lol

6 OdpowiedziIts fantastic to see the bulk of gamers waking up to what many people have been saying about Destiny since late September 2014. This game isn't even up to par with many free to play games on multiple platforms. It hasn't improved. There is nothing innovative. The entire thing is grind for grinding's sake. Zero context. Nothing to discover or explore. Bungie themselves built the hype into a fever pitch; and happily watched it convert into preorders during all the gameplay reveals, vidocs, developer interviews, and even interviews with DeeJ himself. They went silent and spun tall tales when pressed for hard facts. Just like with Dark Below. Just like with House of Wolves. Now, with The Taken King. They want people to buy sight-unseen; without having earned the SLIGHTEST bit of trust. Whatever was delivered at launch was not what they led people to believe it would be while engaged in marketing mode. Yeah - Things change during development. The most devious aspect of this is that they didn't inform anyone what changed or to what degree; which is why many people see it as a bait and switch. You don't get to hype and promise something epic; then hide behind the "things changed" wall when everyone starts calling you out for obvious flaws. All while charging ridiculous and exorbitant sums for so-called "expansions" that expand nothing but the grind. Absolutely nothing has been put forward by Bungie in good faith to remedy what is wrong. They just keep asking for more money to deliver what should have been delivered at launch.

6 OdpowiedziYou know something I just thought of, when Sony released the vita they tried to use false advertisement to sell the system and now the federal trade commission has ordered them to somewhat refund people who bought a vita in 2012 What if someone reports what's going on with destiny to the ftc?

112 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika Morgana Nimueh: 7/29/2015 10:31:48 AMPeople should stop listening to a 12 year old squeaker who hasn't put more than 9 hours into Destiny. Oh that 10 months ago. Like that interview old. 1. The game is what you make it. You put the hours in and enjoy what you like. If you don't want to you don't. 2. I think that was referring to cooperative game play. You minstinterperted it. 3. I believe it's now referred to as Heroic. Stop being dumb. 4. In the beginning it took an average of 4 hours to complete. You would have known that if you'd actually played the game. 5. This is true of all MMOS. Although Destiny isn't a MMO so to speak it takes a lot of inspiration from them. You grind you get loot. Then the game develops new caps are added and you grind again. If grinding isn't your thing go back to more traditional shooters like CoD. You don't like Destiny. Fine I don't expect the world to like it. However like a lot of the Hipsters Douches on this forum you haven't got a -blam!-ing clue what you are bleating on about. What's worse the sheep who lap up your every word are even more stupid than you are. There wasn't anything wrong with the interview, nothing Deej said was a lie, the problem is you are misinterpreting it. In case that's to TL:DR. This guy has barely put in 10 hours and he hasn't played since last September. He's not experienced Destiny enough to really have a clue what he's talking abou. If you agree with him you are as stupid as he is.

1 OdpowiedźI wonder if they laugh at how many people still play half a game with no story. "So after they grind for weapons, we release a DLC with no story.....and they'll grind again! Then, we release another DLC and make them grind again for some dumb stuff to ascend the weapons they already have again! Haha. And then even the new weapons with the DLC will have to be ascended too! Ahahahaha. Then we release another DLC with reskinned enemies and make them pay 2/3 the price of the original game! Ahahahaha. I can't believe they're still playing this game! They're so stupid!"

2 OdpowiedziVault of glass only takes such a short time cause we know it in and out. Half the other stuff is baseless speculation from people who make up sources. It's amazing how little people actually think for them selves and look into if it's actually true or not. Instead they just roll with it cause it fits there end game and support there baseless argument.
