WHAT?? Remove Blink from the GAME??? Another nerf
So amidst all the weapon chaos... I stumbled across something I haven't seen anyone talking about on the forums. And if it has been discussed or pointed out already... sorry.
This quote right here, by Senior Design Lead Sage Merrill (found in the latest Bungie update)

When I read this... that REALLY, I MEAN... REALLY solidified the end of this game for me. The last patch notes did it... but this just puts the final nail on the coffin.
What this shows me... is Bungie can't leave their hands off this game... and the things that make it fun and different. They cater to the WHINERS WAYYYYYY too much. I'm sorry, but this quote proves they will continue to destroy this game piece by piece until all the little kids are happy. Who knows, maybe this is the market they want to cater to. it's a mistake. EVERY game that ever caters to children (after being released for mature players) ends up dying.
And before you say git gud scrub: I have a titan and 2 hunter classes. and am mostly a golden gun user... I do like blink when I use it yes... but my complaint has NOTHING to do with taking away a perk I use to help me win.
EDIT: Anyone who is saying "he doesn't want to remove blink"... You are missing the point. The fact that it's coming across his desk means IT"S A POSSIBILITY. And then combine that with the fact they are still going to nerf it in some way... and they just can't stop F'ing with this game in areas that don't need messing with. And guess what?? if he can't find a way to nerf it... he may not want to remove it... but he may just have to.

1 OdpowiedźIT'S not a possibility, JUST because SOME people suggest IT. people HAVE suggested auto RIFLES with wolfPACK rounds as A perk but that's NOT happening EITHER. they only want TO nerf it because of the BLINK-shotgun meta, which coincidentally might BE FIXED AFTER the 2.0 update nerf on shotguns. P.S; How did I do with my random capitalization of words?

3 OdpowiedziThey won't remove it, cause it's a game mechaninc. They won't alter a subclass. Now posible soutions: Leave it as is.

I think there should be time between the blink and when you get there, such as instead of it being instant you still teleport instantly but it takes like a quarter of a second before you are there. Making people time thier blinks and making it easier to predict because it gives the person who is being blinked at a chance to think.

In the current meta it wouldn't hurt to remove it completely, after 2.0 I can see it becoming less annoying since shotguns won't be as strong but you still shouldn't be able to dodge a rocket or super with it when the other jumps can't do that and one class doesn't have the jump at all.

2 OdpowiedziThey will not get rid of it. They will probably have a timer now between the 2 Blinks in a row. So no more Blink, Blink. Probably be like Blink...1..2..3..Blink..1..2..3..Blink etc..

2 OdpowiedziPvP... Where it's basically warlock/hunters with almost the same setup. Thorn/TLW Felwinter/party crasher 1)Then proceed to use blink across the map and shotgun. 2)Rinse and repeat till super is full. 3)Unleash super. 4)Repeat step 1.

1 OdpowiedźIt's not a huge deal. Probably just extend the cooldown before it can be used again. 2 blinks in quick succession is very frustrating.

they would never remove blink from the game. they are going to make it, i assume, to where it cannot be used offensively. probably going to make it to where weapons are not ready during or immediately following blink. that is the best possible change they could make to the game, with the exception of destroying thorn way worse than they plan to, and nerfing shotguns way more than they plan to.

Blink wasn't a problem to me until medium range shotguns became a thing. Now it's annoying

You're immune when you blink. That should be fixed, then I think we'd all be happy with the shotgun nerf.
