I can pretty much guarantee that people aren't mad at the nerf itself, but the fact that Bungie is nerfing such a major gun like Gjallarhorn based around a minority of idiots who thought that it was required for everything in the game.

Ok, that I can agree with a bit. I think that ridiculous elitism is what initially brought the potential nerf to the conversation. But, honestly, can you tell me that you need that extra damage from the wolfpack rounds? It's not going to change whether or not I use it, it's still going to be the most powerful heavy weapon in the game.

It is nice to have, but yes, it isn't needed. That's just brings us back to my original point. Why would Bungie nerf Wolfpack rounds because of a few idiots who thought that it is needed, instead of, oh I don't know, the gun's actual statistics and performance in-game?? That's what I really don't like. Bungie knowing that those people are not the entire Destiny community, yet basing such a huge weapon change such as this around those people.

True, although they did provide the data to show the PvE usage stats. Honestly, with the timing of this nerf, I feel like they're just trying to get people to be more accepting of the new TTK weapons that are going to hit.
