Thanks to all of the crybabies on the Destiny forum, all of the favorite go-to weapons will be nerfed and made useless in both PvE and PvP. I don't care for making things more "balanced", especially in PvP which is what it will always be -- a competitive multiplayer mode. If you don't have the weapons and skills to kick ass in PvP then maybe you should stick to PvE or vice versa. Or maybe you should actually invest in the game by grinding hours on end EARNING these weapons instead of resorting to the forum and crying to Mama Bungie. Can't join a particular group because you don't have the gally? Start grinding nightfall, weekly, raids, crucible, etc. and eventually you'll get these drops like the majority of us (year-one players) did. Bungie should not have to keep catering to the lazy crybabies on here and ruin the game for the rest of us. If you want these "OP" weapons then EARN them like the rest of us. The way I see it there would be more of an incentive to complete nightfalls, weekly, etc. in order to obtain these weapons and maybe -- JUST MAYBE -- there will also be less inexperienced "fake" 34s running around.
STOP THIS MADNESS!!!!
DON'T TOUCH MY GALLY!!!!
(...and Thorn, Ice Breaker, Blackhammer!)
[EDIT]: If you support the opinions against Bungie's weapon 2.0 update, feel free to check out and sign the following petition. Maybe it will make a difference, maybe not. The way I see it is you have more to lose and hopefully even more to gain once our voices have been heard and implemented.

[FINAL EDIT]: I will no longer be wasting anymore of my time replying to any childish, demeaning and spiteful comments (which are only recycled rebuttals anyway) that lack the maturity and intelligence to provide a more logical and constructive argument in a highly mature manner. I will, however, keep this thread open for anyone to continue to leave their opinion on the matter whether it is in agreement or disagreement. I did appreciate those who were like-minded and support my stance because they get it. I also appreciated those who were respectfully opposed yet took the time to provide a well-reasoned argument without resorting to name-calling or straight up bashing on someone and insulting them simply because they have a different opinion than yours. Incase you've forgotten, Freedom of Speech still exists and grants everyone the right to express their opinion. Therefore, I can exercise my right to voice my opinion on here just as much as yours. Don't like it? Then agree to disagree and carry on.
I still stand by my opinion towards the Weapons 2.0 Update. I also acknowledge that nothing may change Bungie's decision on this, but it doesn't mean I can't still have an opinion as both a customer and gamer of their product. Yes, I can adapt to change as I have done so in the past, but the point is that I shouldn't keep having to adapt just to have the game watered down. I had paid for the game (and all of the DLCs) like everyone else and had invested as much time and effort into it as most Day 1/Year 1 players on here. When things like weapons are nerfed it devalues those weapons and the amount of time and effort put into obtaining and upgrading them as well as any advantages in choosing to use them over others. Bungie has become so bipolar with their nerfs/buffs that I believe it is their lazy (and quickest/cheapest) way of fixing the game temporarily in hopes of satisfying and keeping us lingering around at least until TTK. I don't believe this update will be the miraculous end-it-all fix that the game has long-overdue been in dire need of nor will it suddenly bring "balance". Instead of the nerfs, Bungie should develop and introduce new weapons into the game to counter these "OP" weapons. Or focus on making these "bullet-sponge" bosses more difficult or complex. There are other ways to improve the game than to rely on this never-ending seesaw of nerfs and buffs to "spark more or maintain interest" into an already repetitive gameplay which is inevitably unavoidable.
Also, just because I enjoy certain weapons does not mean that these are the only weapons that I use or rely on. They are just that -- a few weapons that I personally enjoy. So, if you want to be a sheep and refer to them as crutches because you lack a better argument then go for it. Just like the attacks on my K/D stats and whatnot, I have my reasons behind them and I don't need to explain myself to anyone who is so quick to judge and belittle anyway. If you would like to be that internet bully over an opposed opinion because it somehow makes you feel better about yourself then have at it. That kind of attitude and behavior only speaks for the kind of person that you are anyway and continues to have zero effect on me. Like I said, you can come on here to express your opinion, but either agree or disagree and carry on. :)
TL:DR? Oh well. Carry on with your ignorance then. :)
1 OdpowiedźDang.. your training wheels come off in 2.0?
-
Oh dear. All this, over a video game.
-
Op calls people who oppose his view as cyber bullying but his thread title calls people crybabies. That's pretty stupid on his end if he desires a constructive discussion on the matter.
-
Somewhere in the first paragraph you said you didn't want weapon balances so i skipped down here to highlight that...
-
You realize that the weapon changes are based on statistics, not necessarily player comments?
-
I agree with you but I am happy one part is nerf final round sniper weapon..
-
Somebody seems sore they can't just sit in the back of the map and just use Icebreaker, Ghorn, or Black Hammer. You talk about gaining skills but maybe you need to gain some so you don't need crutch weapons to kill everything?
-
OP is a fgt
-
Lol, Thorn scrub gonna miss his Thorn!
-
No need to to write a novel on it.
-
Make a TL:DR
-
"Wahhh I need guns that hold my hand" -OP
-
Yeah because an entire community that uses one gun is healthy
-
-
No way am I reading all that 1/10
-
Sooo you make a lengthy post calling just about everyone in favor 2.0 childish, lazy, and spiteful, but then you refuse to respond to comments because they sound just as childish as you? Power to you.

I am tired of this, really. People always bash others for complaining about OP weapons with the argument "it's just because you're lazy and you don't have it". Well then listen to a person who is actually good at pvp and actually has every weapon in the game: they need to be rebalanced. Yup that's right. Let it sink in. The last word is probably my favorite weapon in the entire game. It complements my play style because it allows me to counter shotgunners who get extra close when I'm sniping. However, TLW was never ever intended to snipe people across the map. I know this is true therefore I have no problem with the nerf. So I'll still be using last word, because I've always used it the way it was intended to be used. People are quick to jump on the gjallarhorn nerf, but c'mon that was inevitable. Bungie lowered the health of bosses for the taken king and added swords that crit 10000-13000 damage. There isn't a need for gjallarhorn anymore. Just accept it and move on. We are getting plenty of amazing awesome weapons in ttk. Why are we still debating about year 1 stuff?

3 OdpowiedziTHAT WILL BE ANSWERED THIS MONDAY NIGHT AT SUPER SLAAAM!

The problem with making guns to "counter" the current op guns is something called power creep. Plus, the op guns aren't getting nerfed, they're getting reworked and balanced.
-
The queen puts it as it is, next they'll complain about sleeper simulant and the swords
-
Yay nerf. I'm glad bungie is sponsored by NERF
-
-
For a person that doesn't care you sure put up quite a defense!
-
Frankly, Thorn is overused. It is annoying. I am tired of being forced to use it because everyone on the other team has it and it is difficult to counter. The rest are fine though.
-
Get a life.

Sounds to me like you're doing the majority of the whining. Those OP weapons can turn a shitty PvP player to an above average player, no skill needed. If you didn't need those weapons to get kills then you wouldn't give two shi*s like the majority of us. I agree with what bungie is doing and if you don't then see ya later. It's your loss not anyone else's.
