I'm curious to see how the community feels overall about the changes. Maybe it will give Bungie a better idea about how feel and thus (hopefully) doing what the community actually wants.
Edit: General consensus seems the Black Hammer change is all around un-liked.
Edit: Someone (Crowley) made a great point about the Gally. They nerfed so people would stop hosting teams with Gally only as an option. Except now when most of those teams could make due with only a few gallys (ie Crota) they now need more of them. Thus working opposite of their intention. Sorry I can't give credit I forgot where I saw it but an excellent point I think.

Black Hammer nerf was not needed. Same with Fusion Rifle nerf

1 OdpowiedźBrown, that was me with the post about Bungie's Gally solution to the problem only further enhancing that problem. For those curious, I had said that Bungie's viewed the way guardians are trying to build fire teams for activities by focusing on only recruiting players who have the Gally as elitist and a wrongful happening, and are deciding to reduce damage of the Wolfpack rounds to remedy the issue, but I believe this will backfire and result in what once "required" 2-3 players with Gally to now call for 3-5, only further enhancing the problem they wish to solve. Another issue I have is with Black Hammer's white nail only adding ammo from your reserves as a "fix". The issue here is that you cannot fix what isn't broken, only improve, and this is far from an improvement. Black Hammer is working as intended, only granting a refilled magazine if the user can rapidly land three precision shots in a row. The weapon isn't icebreaker, it doesn't just grant you more ammo, black hammer only rewards precision. I find it ass backwards, having an exotic that has unlimited ammo being given a minor touch, while a legendary that's perk is based off of precision shots only is deemed "too strong". Their line of thinking here doesn't sit well with me.

1 OdpowiedźRIP black hammer. You've been a faithful friend and boss slayer. You will be deeply missed.
-
2 OdpowiedziPvP: I don't care. I'm good with all guns and will adapt. PvE: I'm pretty unhappy. All my favorite things are being nerfed. (Gally, Black Hammer, Icebreaker, and worst of all shotguns.)
-
1 OdpowiedźIm happy with these because in PVP all the nerfed exotics can become maddening when killed by them every single time you turn a corner. Thorn burn killing people after they've run around a corner into what should be safety is ridiculous. Icebreaker needed more recharge time, being able to shoot an enemy every five seconds is insane, especially for a sniper. Having level requirements for a fire team is logical, but requiring people to have galley is ridiculous, and is a cheap way out of nearly all the raids if everyone is using it.
-
1 OdpowiedźA little about the legendary hand cannons but super pissed about black hammer what kind of shit is that "even though not technically an exotic is sought out like one" well it's -blam!-ing not so don't treat it like one
-
1 OdpowiedźGjallarhorn, Thorn, TLW, and Ice Breaker nerf were a long time coming. I like hard light, necro, and auto rifle buffs. Don't know if legendary hand cannons needed a nerf. Scout buff is good. We'll see about NLB
-
1 OdpowiedźThe reasons given tainted my once pure view of Bungie. I don't like being manipulated to think something is good based on a false premise.

1 OdpowiedźGeneral comments, most changes are positive and appears to be intended to diversify weapon roles e.g. can't use XYZ all the time in all situations. However Ice Breaker's change could have been handled better same with Black Hammer. Also Fusion Rifles needed a general damage buff but the current changes are fine but still damage increases should have been applied. Also need to finally fix Pocket Infinity and ensure that Vex doesn't get killed again. Despite having 3 Gjallarhorn I am ok with the nerf as it is so OP in PVE and has created elitism but more than that eliminates skill development in new players. I actually used Dragon's Breath recently and enjoyed it! Some weapons that weren't addressed that should have been: Dragon's Breath - no tracking on an exotic launcher? Flare damage not increased? Pocket Infinity - still not working as intended IIRC
-
1 OdpowiedźNope on gally point though if gally and truth and hoc and dragon are all equal then you won't need just gally. That is the point of the gally nerf What u don't understand is that they had a choice to make everyone happy Increase gally drop Make a gally quest Instead they made everyone mad which is stupid
-
1 OdpowiedźI'm happy with everything except ice breaker and fusion rifles...
-
1 OdpowiedźThe Black Hammer one sucks to me, personally. The endless headshots were the only reason why the weapon was good. Without it you've got a mediocre sniper rifle with a cat turd on the barrel.

1 OdpowiedźEdytowany przez użytkownika Shade622: 7/19/2015 5:42:42 PMBlack Hammer and Icebreaker. Icebreaker wasn't a problem, the ammo regen takes long enough as it is now. And white nail is pointless now, it might as well be outlaw. If they wanted to nerf it without making it pointless, why didn't they make it so that white nail refills the magazine, but only takes one or two bullets from your reserve ammo to refill it?

1 OdpowiedźEdytowany przez użytkownika tidus_0893: 7/19/2015 7:18:34 PMI seriously didn't see the nerfs for IB or BH coming. IB will be even more less likely to be used over another sniper and BH will be a subpar sniper that will eat your ammo up at a faster rate than other snipers. LDR for the win!
-
1 OdpowiedźI'm fine with everything except the lazy fix to black hammer. They could've made something better for it like keeping the takes from reserves, but has 9-12 count max, and landing the 3 precision hits in rapid succession add 1-2 rounds in reserve. Then it wouldn't have infinite ammo, and people wouldnt just be able to burn bosses like no tommorrow, to prevent stun locking, lower impact to just below icebreaker.
-
Leave my ice breaker and Gjallarhorn alone Bungie! Let exotics be special!
-
2 OdpowiedziNot that I use it, but is The Devil You Don't now going to just have 2 rounds in the mag? Brilliant!

1 OdpowiedźBlack hammer......

1 OdpowiedźEdytowany przez użytkownika OkiroBenihime_: 7/19/2015 11:10:42 PMI can live with the ice breaker change. The black hammer change and Gjallarhorn change sucks. Fusion Rifles need a buff, not the nerf they are getting. Shotguns need a serious damage & range nerf. Auto Rifles need the buff they are getting. Pulse Rifles need a bit of a damage nerf. Scout Rifles need a bit of a damage buff.
-
2 OdpowiedziMissed opportunity for Dragons breath
-
1 OdpowiedźI personally think the nerfs to black hammer and ice breaker were uncalled for and pointless.
-
2 OdpowiedziShould have left IB and gally alone to start.. If they wanted to even out some hand cannons ( thorn, TLW) fine but why the blanket nurf of all the others.. They looked like they have no idea what they are doing by buffing pulse rifles then nurfing them again.. They where great not OP or over used with the buff why change them... Some changes I can stand by and like but reality is with TTK coming out it will all not matter anyway.. I just hope they create a weapon that shoots through the cables damn shield they hold..

4 OdpowiedziThe good: •Buffed auto rifles in PvP. •Buffed auto rifles in PvE. •Buffed scout rifles in PvE. •Buffed scout rifles in PvP. •Nerf'd Thorn in PvP. •Buffed Thorn in PvE. •Nerf'd TLW's range. •Made TLW more close range compatible (the way it should work). •Nerf'd shotguns in PvP. •Buffed No Land Beyond. •Buffed Necrochasm. •Buffed Hardlight. •Nerf'd final round. The Bad: •Nerf'd Icebreaker. •Nerf'd handcannons. •Nerf'd Black hammer. •Nerf'd Hawkmoon. •Nerf'd Gjallarhorn. My conclusion: Bungie has done more good than bad with this update. Thus, I can't find good reason to be highly upset to the point of mutiny as some people have. In my opinion, everything on the "Bad" list shouldn't have happened, but just because it did, doesn't negate all the good they did with the update. Most of which we asked for and they listened. But started to make people angry when they tried to do too much.

3 OdpowiedziHappy with some, unhappy with mainly one, and that one is Final Round. Now don't get me wrong, I use Final Round on Efrideet's Spear, but more often than not, my kills are from headshots. There have been many times where I was on the last round and I would hit my opponent in the head, essentially rendering my perk useless. But there were also times where I missed the head, but still got the kill thanks to the perk. Point is, I don't need the perk to get kills. The problem is that I now have a perk that will be completely useless for PvP on a sniper I mainly use for PvP. If they really had to nerf Final Round, they should have made it so it still does a lot more damage than a regular shot, but not enough to one hit a player at full health. This way, if someone is missing a tiny bit of shields, you can still one hit them, but if they have full shields, they will live and have a chance to run away, but this also gives the sniper the opportunity to pull out their primary and finish off the guy with a single follow up shot.
