Will Black Hammer Be Crap Now?
So they're nerfing BH so that 3 percision shot refills magazine with ammo from your inventory. Further to this, they are giving it more ammo reserve.
Thoughts?

3 OdpowiedziNot really, I mean that gun was WAY better than Icebreaker and it was only legendary. I think this is a good change to the gun because they're giving it more ammo capacity

Whats the point of the white nail now? All it saves u is a reload... Useless

3 OdpowiedziIt won't be as bad as everyone is making it out to be. It still hits extremely hard since it has the highest impact but you really have to think about when will you actually use all 18 bullets? Only on the land tank and spider tank. On bosses your gonna have to dodge fire and shoot adds which interrupts you shooting at the boss with black hammer. You can just run around and get some special ammo easily since it's pretty common in pve. It'll still do extremely high damage output and white nail will help put consistent fire on a major or boss. So I think that it'll still be an excellent weapon to use :)

1 OdpowiedźYes, it's perk was perfect. Those precision shots were already hard to hit. It rewarded skilled play. This what they could have done to "fix it" Lower rate of fire Lower impact Higher recoil (as if it's not already insane) Smaller reserve In my opinion it was fine as is, people enjoy the risk=reward system that blackhammer provided. Without blackhammer a white nail perk it is already worse than any other high impact sniper. Small magazine, slow rate of fire, high recoil, perks set in stone.

No other legendary weapon in the game had infinite ammo/regen ammo capability. All the other weapons that do are exotics. As I'm trying to get an idiot on another thread to realize, BH will still allow you to put more rounds down range faster than any other lengendary sniper. Because---as long as you can keep hitting crits----you can keep firing until you lterally run out of ammo. If you cant' string crits together like that, then you need to be using a different weapon.

My first gut reaction was that I was really really bad.. But now I think it's really not too bad at all. Stop to ask yourself, when was the last time you hit more than 18 precision shots in a row, where this "Nerf" is going to stop you from continuing to fire? All in all makes sense to me, and really not a bad bad nerf

7 OdpowiedziFair, a legendary sniper with unlimited ammo defeats the purpose of exotic snipers. Now it still has great damage output without the infinite ammo. In the condition it is right now, BH should be an exotic.

Still best dps sniper against half the bosses. There will just be better options for valus and the other bosses in the annoying to crit club

No? I can still land 18-21(Depending on gear) precision hits without reloading still.

Yes, I would almost rather use a HoW Her Benevolence with casket mag and triple tap. Assuming I'm hitting head shots with my Her Benevolence, I'll still have to reload, but I'll be getting 8 per mag, which I feel like is almost a better deal unless I'm stun locking the archon priest.

12 OdpowiedziOf course its crap whitout the perk.... not having to reload wasnt the fuzz about it... was the rewards of not running out of special ammo.... after the update the balck hammer will be just a weapon on ppl vaults, since the dps on it has been seen on another snipers with bigger catridges

If this goes through its scrap metal.....no reason to use it. Pathetic reserve ammo buff amount does not compensate either. you would have to triple the reserve ammo amount to actually make it playable again

9 OdpowiedziIt's going to end up in the vault. Id rather they made it an exotic and keep the white nail how it was. The white nail balanced everything else on the gun. It has a 3 shot magazine for -blam!- sake! This is the first time ive actually been bothered about the changes. Whats the point in hunting down specific weapons if they're not special and have a specific purpose? How weapons were terrible because they do not stand out.

This is terrible. You know what. Just use that perk for the reload at max. Not point in trying to get headshots all the time now.

Its still good, you can deplete your ammo nonstop with crit shots. Ice breaker is ruined though

Not crap, it will be like most other sniper rifles except there will be no reload animation for 3 precision shots. The only thing they removed was infinite ammo

The black hammer pull green from your "inventory" think about it for a second. Why look for green ammo it uses the synthesis pack without waiting
