What destiny was going to be...
Sigh, I cri everitim :(
List of things stolen from us and sold back later:
-Crota's end(Deathsinger at 31 seconds)
-Taken king Content (TBD (yet unknown) at with ogre smashing 32 seconds, which mimics TTK's trailer.)
-Mention of saturn and Jupiter
-Mention of Cudgel of Xanthor(Zanthor?) and Fate of all Fools.
-Hint at quests and special drops to receive exotics
-Much different chains for skilltrees.
-Fast-travel? a ship flying overhead to meet others for a PE and dropping the player off.(at 2:24)
-I believe I saw the map Timekeeper(or whatever it is) at 3:25
-Celestial nighthawk(Commenter below pointed it out.) at 3:33

4 OdpowiedziThis is basically a PSA to [b]never[/b] pre buy any game. Don't give them the money until you think the game is going to be worth it! If 90% of players would have waited till the 6/10 reviews came out. These forums would be a lot less buthurt. Just for the record, I think destiny has been worth every penny I spent on it. I am 99% sure to buy TTK... But I'm not pre buying.

And in the mean time I truly enjoy destiny already. I also understand that they need to make $$$ I mean we all know what the budget is...so to make dlc and even lock content that was on disc is a business move. And they are businesses first. 39 OdpowiedziSo they had a "10 year plan" and in your mind that means that they can't start working on future content until all the current content is completed and shipped! That's just not the work it works amigo. When Halo 2 shipped... Work was already well under way on Halo 3! Take an artist. Do you think he's working on enemy designs a week before the game ships? Of course not! He's been done with that for months, to allow the rest of the design team to work on their parts using the actual character model. So what has he been doing for 40 hours a week since? Working on the next project! Here's reality: Destiny is an MMO-lite. So it should really have a monthly subscription fee. However, instead of a sub, they went with a DLC model. Wether it's $80 a year for DLC or $7 a month sub -- does it matter to you? This may shock you, but there are already people working on the content AFTER TTK. I know, what jerks. They are going to launch TTK knowing full well that there is still MORE stuff they will release later.

7 OdpowiedziWhy? If you expected all that in Vanilla Destiny then you don't know how business works. Can't be mad at it either but these guys gotta make money too. The devs, publishers etc. Really think about the value of Destiny and how much content we get. Patrol, NFs, Raids, PoE, competitive ToO every weekend, IB once a month, so many other things too. What other game offers as many different game mode activities in one? An open world game where your buddies can join in on too. This game has so much potential and it's definitely on the right path. Xur is also a great idea! (Obviously useless once you have everything but still, I'm sure we still all get excited knowing that he's here every weekend) There are some things to work on though, but the fact that they listen to the community definitely helps. An optional match making is the biggest need right now for this game.

2 OdpowiedziTo me, it was a vid doc on what they were planning not evidence of finished product. Glimpses of this and that don't confirm a completed game cut into smaller packages. A lot of what we see IS unfinished. Those upgraded trees are horrible. Early versions they previewed at early E3... Hardly evidence of something better being cut. I don't think there was or is a grand conspiracy, rather a game that was to grand to finish under contract. They gave us something so they wouldn't breach it, both Bungie and Activision decided what to put into the DLCs and what to put in the main launch game. To me this is only verified by the massive problems with Crotas End raid, unfinished, untested really, etc. The delay of HoW and perhaps the absence of the mythical HoW raid. Simple. The game wasn't finished. They had a contract. There ya go. It is what it is, nothing will change that... All we can do is move ahead maturely and logically, pushing for a more comprehensive experience.

3 OdpowiedziI go back sometimes and watch Destiny vidocs and see what it could've been and what we got. It truly makes me sad to know that Destiny could have been so so much more. I'm not saying I dislike Destiny because I practically play it 24/7 but it's just to know that we could have and should have gotten so much more makes it kind of depressing.

2 OdpowiedziHere's what the community doesn't understand. It wasn't Bungie's fault for the way the game is today. It was -blam!-ing Activision. They're the ones who kicked out the original writer for the story. They're the ones who rushed the game and urged Bungie to put out the game faster. They only did it for money. Don't blame Bungie. Call me a -blam!-ing Destical, I'm just -blam!-ing tired of hearing "Bungie -blam!-ed us over with TTK"

That's Activision's fault. That's why a lot of people hate Activision because Activision likes money. So sad Bungie had to remove a lot of stuff.

I'd say TDB, HOW and 15% of TTK was deliberately cut to simply be resold later, the evidence is everywhere.

I don't really care... Destiny has consumed so much of my time and for only $95. You can easily spend that much on a movie and a place to eat after. Come on, it is worth the money. The stuff they showed obviously wasn't ready and if they did take stuff out then they probably knew what they were doing. DLC keeps us excited for more and gives Bungie more money to make more and to pay the guys that they need to pay.
