First off, sorry for the click baity title. I have some good ideas I want to share, and it's hard to be heard on the forums. I haven't seen many organized posts addressing Bungie about these, so I decided to make one. If you disagree with me, be sure to comment down below.
The Vault Space Issue
Problem:
Lets face it. We NEED more. Whether or not Bungie will admit it it's true.
This issue has discouraged me from playing the game.
Go ahead and read that line again. That's right, I'm playing less because of this issue. This should be a major red flag to Bungie that they need to make changes. Whenever I get a new weapon, if I want to keep it I HAVE to delete something. In a game based almost entirely on loot, players should not be forced to delete things that they earned. These choices to dismantle previously owned items are often stressful and even upsetting.
Bungie has blamed this issue on last-gen as an excuse for not adding more. This is ridiculous. Anyone with even a slight bit of coding experience knows that variables (aka the items in your vault) take up almost no memory what so ever.
Solution:
1. Multiple pages. Don't try to squeeze everything on one page, this will obviously just take up additional memory. One page for each weapon/armor/material type.
2. Don't render the guns. Removing some of the graphics such as the colored print and the gun itself will definitely clear up some space.
3. Just convert the whole thing to text if you have to, I don't care, as long as I have more space!
4. If Bungie refuses to re design the vault, just make overflow storage on a website online! You would log onto the website with your Bungie ID and the whole website would be a giant vault. You could transfer items from the webpage to your in-game vault. (Number 4 is NOT my idea: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/134637925/0/0/1 )
Weapon Rebalancing
Problem:
I don't know about you, but I'm tired of 3-4 weapons dominating in the crucible. It is really annoying because players are forced into using one of these weapons if they hope to succeed even if their favorite weapon is an auto rifle! Destiny is a game that allows for many different play styles, and in order for this to continue, weapon rebalancing NEEDS to happen.
Shotguns are annoying to say the least, and several weapon types are the only viable choices.
Solution:
1. Add more long range maps. Almost every map in destiny is short range, and this allows shotgunners to run with a shotgun as a primary. Shotguns should be a one shot kill, but they should be VERY situational. A range decrease would also be a less effective, but alternate solution.
2. When rebalancing weapons, DO NOT buff one weapon type and nerf another. This just leads into the cycle of the dominant weapon type just being switched, and no improvment being made.
The Story
Problem:
Destiny has no story. It consists of repetitive missions where your ghost takes forever to open a door and then you fight off tons of enemies. This is obvious, every destiny player knows this. There is a great story in the grimoire, but I have neither the attention span, nor the time to spend hours reading through these cards when each only provides a small taste of the story.
Solution:
1. (Temporary fix) Make grimoire cards viewable in-game. I guarantee more people would read them.
2. Keep the same missions, but just add cutscenes!! Most levels in video games are basically the same, go from point A to point B fight off enemies, complete objective. In my opinion, if you took the Halo series and removed all the cutscenes, you would have a story as bad as Destiny's!
Prison of Elders Issues
Problem:
1. The weapons and gear that players can obtain from running the Prison of Elders isn't nearly as good as what PvP players can get from running Trials of Osiris. It doesn't help that the ship you get from Skolas is a re-skin of basically any other ship you can buy from Variks.
2. Prison of Elders seems really repetitive at times. There are literally two total objectives (Mines and Targets). Some new bosses have great new abilities and creative mechanics, but this isn't enough to make me want to play.
3. Although this is a relatively rare issue and I'm only posting this because it happened to me... there are no checkpoints. It is really frustrating to be kicked right before Skolas and essentially waste over an hour of your time. I know Bungie doesn't want another Gorgon Chest, but this issue needs to be addressed.
Solution:
1. Remove Dreg burn and Shank burn from PoE rockets and snipers. Replace them with more useful perks such as a general damage boost against all PoE enemies! Unfortunately, for the most part, many of the PoE weapons need to be completely redesigned.
2. Add more objectives. Add some cool puzzles we have to complete in a certain time limit!
3. I'm not really sure what to do about this one, maybe Bungie could add a checkpoint every two rounds or so to avoid people abusing the system.
Optional Matchmaking (and why it's important)
Problem:
If we had Optional Matchmaking or some sort of in-game lfg, players without a regular raid team would be able to find a team without having to go through lfg. Lfg is a great resource, but it gets frustrating because it is very possible that no one will be playing the activity you want to do.
A while back when statistics were released showing that less than 10% of guardians had completed a raid, I was shocked. If you haven't raided, you really haven't played the game. I believe that the reason for this is because many players aren't willing to put in the time to find a group, or they don't know how.
Solution:
I would prefer something similar to a built in lfg than just plain matchmaking. The built in LFG could have different filters by level and mic. If you found a group you liked, you could just one click to join. I realize there are concerns with the amount of team work it takes and stuff like that but it all comes down to:
IT'S BETTER TO PLAY AN ACTIVITY AND GET WRECKT THAN NOT PLAY AT ALL
New Players Not Engaged
Problem:
I have talked to many people who played Destiny for a little while, didn't even reach level 20 and just stopped. I have tried to get these people back into it, but they are unwilling to try again because they feel the game is boring.
I agree. Destiny is definitely boring if you experience no end game content. It's definitely easier to level up after House of Wolves came out, but I'm talking about keeping people engaged who aren't too serious about the grind. I believe the statistics of how less than 10% of players have completed a raid prove my point. Beginning players, for the most part, aren't having fun.
Solution:
Add a "mini raid." It would be completely match made, and the game would walk you through the mechanics. It would be unlocked at level 15, and would provide good loot for a level 15 player. This mission shouldn't be that complicated and shouldn't take as long to complete, but it should show enough interesting boss fights and puzzles, that it would make new players eagerly awaiting the day that they'll be able to attempt a "real" raid.
Clan Support
Problem:
Friends lists can often get lengthy, and at current, there is no in-game clan support.
Solution:
Just add a roster in the roster section of the menu that shows all online clan members who are on your console! This would make it a lot easier and more enjoyable to connect with clan members more often.
Crucible Changes
Reached text limit going to speak simply to conserve space.
1. Top player always gets a reward
2. Trials teams switch positions after every round/more balanced maps
3. All game types are permanent. (There's really no point to switch them) Salvage, inferno, doubles, and all the others should be a permanent part of the playlist.
Community Additions
1. Reepersniper
I think a great idea is to have the vault in your ship at the orbit stage. It makes sense. All 3 ships share the 1 vault. Just before the mission or missions you pick your load out of weapons and synth etc then go hunt. If you change characters or enemies you choose your load out for those enemies and specific missions. This way you only need 1 of your favourite weapons not 3 so it's easy. Plus it saves having to find and transfer your Fate bringer etc when you swap characters. Just like a cod game before mission you pick your guns and gear and off you go. You could still use all slots if you wish. Only difference is its in your ship at a loading screen you have to do anyway.
2. Hydrilus
I can't quote Hydrilus because the limit is 10,000 characters, but he would like to see the d-pad being used for a more practical purpose, such as switching subclasses or weapons. He would also want to see Bungie implement matchmaking.
3. Tomalaya1
If I'd add any one thing on, it would be a quick way to swap inventories between characters. I've found this helps with vault space. I get a load out I like for that weeks/day's activities, and the swap it to whichever character I am running. The other characters ten become pure storage when they're not in use
4. Porcratus
Main suggestion is to have our Ghost more usable.
When you bring up your ghost you could hit Square to bring up the Grimmoire or X for a map and Bounty list along the bottom.
Make our Ghost more usable and bring in Ghost Shells.
I realize that no one from Bungie will probably ever read this, but I just wanted to give my 2 cents. (I will be updating this thread as soon as I think of new ideas)

8 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika DirtDiver_17: 7/26/2015 4:15:03 PM1) Can we please get a "Hold X (or Square) for Weapon Synthesis" onscreen when out of ammo leaving an onscreen timer above the super meter? This would be amazing!!!! 2) More Vault Space/Vault Sorting Options and multiple pages (if prior is not possible due to memory restraints). 3) Can we purchase weapon parts from a vendor/gunsmith in the tower. 4) Shooting range to test new weapons in the tower easily/more quickly 5) Exotic Quest Lines/Legendary upgrade path for Khovostov 7G-02 and The Stranger's Rifle 6) Dragon's Breath's Sunspots explode once burned out doing a small but potent aoe damage! This makes the gun useful again/competitive and can be used to shut down avenues of approach in control/Trials. 7) Can we finally purchase from Xur using the app? Items could go to post master and become VERY useful for ppl who have lives! 8) Private Crucible Matches, Ranked PvP matches (Similar to Halo3), A legendary only playlist (Just 1!) and Crucible map voting!!!!! 9) Faction Wars - See video for an amazing idea!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mK3gcpW2874 Complements of KackisHD and Rick Kackis!! This guy has an awesome idea! 10) Auto shard Green/Blue engram/weapons option in settings. This could be for end game players and turned off if items are wanted! 11) Fusion Rifle Buff to help out Vex and other favored Fusion Rifles instead of a constant Nerf! Vex is becoming useless again! 12) New weapons types (mentioned by community): Grenade Launcher (Boomer maybe), SMGs (the fast fire rate ARs could be changed to these giving them a place and a purpose in the close quarters battle/could increase damage drop off to make them a close range viable option instead of being useless as normal ARs. Atheon's Epilogue changed slightly to look like an SMG and adjusted would be awesome!) 13) Trade Mats for exp again! Buying them is nice! Getting rid of an excess for some rep is nice as well! We also should be able to buy class specific mats. The armor breakdown struggle gets real over time!!!! 14) Killcams and (to an extent) weapon customization would be cool. (I'm not for the CoD'ifying of Destiny so I'll stop there!) 15) In our quest to prevent power creep (I.e the nerf which is a good thing overall), can we also please refrain from succumbing to EXTREME MUDFLATION & with all our weapons and armor being useless upon TTK release. You guys can make better weapons! I have faith! TTK looks awesome BTW!!!! 16) All cut scenes skip able PLEASE! (this includes the vanilla Destiny cut scenes!) 17) Can the enemy reload? Reminds me of a bad action movie when they NEVER reload! 18) Ever changing ecosystem with weather! We could have rain fog snow storms etc! This would add so much to PvE! 19) 6 man patrols would be awesome. You could prepare your team in a patrol and then proceed to the raid instead of having to do it in the tower or in orbit! 20) Can we PLEASE raise the currency Caps! Glimmer marks etc! There is no cap for strange coins so it would be nice to have slightly higher caps on these! 21) Sparrow Racing (stats are pointless without it) 22) Can we please get some AUXILIARY PROGRESSION in the game to feel like we are accomplishing something! 23) Player LATERAL trading (not auction house as this is highly exploitable and breaks games!) 24) Armor transmogrification please! 25) Finally we all know about armor/class item clipping, Iron Banner lag, error codes galore, general glitching with friends on sparrows, aoe affecting players in the air, connection issues with players in PvP, loss of ammo switching weapons glitch, etc etc etc! Can we get a couple ppl to address these issues at least for TTK! Thank you Cozmo for your time reading this! We appreciate it greatly!

1 OdpowiedźEdytowany przez użytkownika ImTooHungover: 7/26/2015 4:12:19 AMGreat work. I would add a remapped D-Pad using radial menus: Example: http://www.darkfallonline.com/sites/default/files/radial_menu_0.png Quite simply, hold whatever D-pad button down and select with right thumbstick. If done properly, the player will have full control of mapping it out the way they want. It's incredibly flexible for future content, easy, and quick to use. Could be categorized as so: Up = Fireteam communication (waypoints, ask for assistance, etc.) Right = consumables (ammo synthesis, telemetry, etc). Left = weapon, vehicle quick slot--allow for quickly changing weapon and/or perks that are in your inventory or use a vehicle. Would all be mapped by player of course. Down = Emotes, global communication. I would also like to see more utilization of the Ghost menu as such: - a map - preset builds: such as gear, guardian subclasses, and perks for quick transition compared to entering the menu and doing it manually every time.

1 OdpowiedźGood job! I hope somebody at Bungie sees your post and takes the time to read it carefully. I really like a lot of your suggestions, especially the ones about vault space and Prison of Elders activities. A suggestion I would like to make for a PoE activity would be something like the Dark Below special mission where you have to make sacrifice to the giant cauldron while fighting off tons of enemies as the floor slowly becomes covered in guardian damaging circles. It could be fun to see a "Lava Floor" modifier as long as the rounds were well-balanced. It could be paired with a new biased burn that only affects guardians attacks and there could be a reduced number of majors (yellow bars) since this mod could easily take players out of their comfort zones. I wouldn't want to see a timer on this type of mod. For weapon balancing, I believe that it should be limited to PVP only. Bungie has already shown that they can code weapons/armor to have buffs/nerfs separate the difference between guardian and non-guardian. Destiny has a very simple and intuitive control scheme and I would be very weary of adding to much clunk to the d-pad (kind of the reason I stopped playing a bunch of Eidos games back in the day). That being said, the idea of adding radial menus by holding the directional buttons could be a good idea if done properly.

1 OdpowiedźCan we get a PvP event for Faction Wars? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mK3gcpW2874 In this video, KackisHD explains his idea for Faction Wars and it sounds amazingly fun and competitive!!! Check it out and give his idea a bump so we can get this event in Destiny!!

3 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika Hydrilus: 7/8/2015 11:20:10 PMHow about giving some useful functionality to the D-Pad instead of emotes? You know, things such as being able to set specific weapons to the D-Pad, or switching between your two class types, or ammo synths, etc... Currently we need to pull up a slow loading menu to change weapons, specs or use items and in the heat of battle, it is not ideal at all. At least we have easy access to those dance emotes though... -_- The biggest issue with Destiny (imo) is the lack of OPTIONS. Bungie, being the "supposed" A-list developer that they are, feel that they know everything that is best for their game. They created Halo after-all! Why would gamers have reason to question their all-knowing judgement? Ironically enough, Destiny lacks many great features that were pioneered by Bungie with Halo, features that became standard in many other games but are nowhere to be found in Destiny. The biggest FIX that needs to take place involves Bungie getting down from their high horse. Put matchmaking in the game already, give players the OPTION to be matched with others for raids if they want to. This is how one makes new friends in games! The large majority of the people on my XBL friends list (having been subscribed to XBL since it came out) were gained from Halo 2! They were randoms, randoms who I played with or against, and had so much fun that I friended them so we could continue playing as a team. What Bungie has done by not including matchmaking for everything, is taken away the ability to make friends. So what if you get matched with bads and end up failing a raid - you'll now have an opportunity to teach and/or learn how to succeed. Soon enough you'll succeed and have made new friends who may want to be in your fireteam again, and then you won't need the matchmaking option. It's that simple.

2 OdpowiedziThis only applies only to PS4 version. Keep D-pad as is but utilise the touchpad on the PS4 controller as access your inventory mid-game. The current clicking the touchpad could bring up a semi-transparent view of your consumables. You can then run a finger over the touchpad to quickly select the consumable you want to use & bang!....Ammo synth popped for example, or an emeny specific glimmer consumable. This could all be done within a split second mid-battle & not take you out of the game. As the semi-transparent display would let you see if you were about to have your a** handed to you! This could also apply to selecting weapons. This would be a much more streamlined approach & wouldn't remove you from the action.

3 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika KiLLaFromTheBay: 7/9/2015 1:57:57 AMPlease don't take this as me being a troll but the sad fact is that Grungie won't read this. If they do they won't let you know. If they acknowledge you you will get the "thanks for the feedback I will pass it along" bullshit. I've been playing Destiny since I believe week two or three but I'm relatively new to the forums. However, since I've come here to both voice my opinion, read others and unfortunately argue quit a bit I've noticed a trend of many MANY destiny players making valid points, pointing out problems, making suggestions for solutions and ways to improve the game. I've seen little response from Grungie and little to no results. Those BNGhelp 1, 2 and 3 guys rarely ever respond to anyone. This Deej guy, which I know little about, is as rare as a Bigfoot sighting and a lot of people bash him because of that. Honestly the only fix that I've noticed implemented possibly as a result of the feedback section was how they made it so you would get passage coins for losing a trials match, which I like because I lose a lot. I guess they figure that so many people have already bought into the game so they don't care about what we want or have to say and by the looks of it the whole pricing scheme for new players with the Taken King looks like they are preparing to replace the year one players that are disgruntled and quit Destiny. For what it's worth though great post, great ideas and thank you.
