Its not about how muchthe class items r priced it's about what you are getting out of it. I can buy it... Have the money... Nothing to stop me. But then i think how the heck can i justify spending 20bucks on 9 cosmetic items. Specially when is the same price as HoW and TDB ehich were already slighly over priced for their content and theyvstill defended it because it gave us so much. Then players defended it because of the hours you could get out of it. How many hours of fun can you get out of a shader? And people somehow still manage to defend it. The answer to everything is either whine whine 20 bucks is nothing if u cant afford it u shouldn't be playing games in the first place.
Edit: im happy with the overall result of this thread most people have been polite and understanding others have disagreed with me but done so in a polite way and thats all this is about im not ranting and complaining im sharimg my point of view wih you guys

New subclasses are a pretty big deal. Also vanguard and crucible weapons and gear will get updated once again. Light level upgraded. A raid, strikes, new vendors as always. But then some new areas to goof off in. Probably more sword of crota and wolves prowling events, not to mention new exotics as well. I mean there's definitely more content in this next one rather than the Dark Below and HoW. $20 is nothing. Most games charge 15-20 for something like this. Elder scrolls premium is 15 a month for very little for what it offers. Most radio satellite radio stations are 10-30 a month. I mean when you put it in perspective, it isn't that bad...

10 OdpowiedziSo then don't buy it. Pretty sinple
-
-
Then what is it about?
-
6 OdpowiedziExactly. It's priced the same as house of wolves was. Yet the fanboys and Desticle's will still yell at you. Saying "don't be broke and shut up and pay, you all asked for this, it's a great deal take my money". Go get it fanboys. Enjoy spending more money on NO actual content.
-
1 Odpowiedźyou guys said it was the principal of it being collectors edition only and not about the money, now that it is seperate it is about the money but not the principal?
-
5 OdpowiedziI've played a lot of MMO's for a long time. The money i spend on MMO's in a year ( probably $400-$700) is nothing to what destiny is charging. This is the reason why MMO's will never ever migrate into console gaming.
-
1 OdpowiedźHalo 5 will be the first non-Destiny related gaming money I will spend since launch. 20 bucks isn't that bad. It's a bit excessive, but at least it's a viable option now. They have to make up for the cost of developing the package, promoting it, and making it available over 4 systems. Meh. I'll pay it.
-
5 OdpowiedziWould it be better if they were priced individually at $2 each? LoL skins are 15 bucks each
-
2 OdpowiedziYou are one of those "never happy" people. We get it, you're not satisfied with the game. Please do us all a favor and leave.
-
5 OdpowiedziWow. People complain about everything. Vets ask for a collectors edition, that is what they have gave us. Of course it will cost more.
-
11 OdpowiedziSo everyones initial complaint was why should I have to re-buy content in order to get the collectors edition items I just want them separate. Bungie said ok and is making them available separately. Now everyone complains that it's too expensive and they won't buy it. Bungie is damned if the do and damned if they don't. Either the items are worth the cost to YOU and you buy it or they aren't and you don't.
-
Yeah, $20 bucks for that is us getting bent over. $5 tops.
-
13 OdpowiedziThose items were always $20. $20 extra over the cost of the legendary edition for those items. They only sold them separate because the entire forum whined all week. Now that they're separate, no one wants them. What a bunch of disgusting twats you all are.
-
1 OdpowiedźWere outnumbered by the people who do not have (and likely never will) any assets. They're dictating 'value'.
-
1 OdpowiedźIt cannot be "not about the money". When every one of these post is mentioning a price tag.
-
19 OdpowiedziFrankly, I would be embarassed to display those cosmetic items on my character....

22 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika Kriegar3: 6/25/2015 9:26:43 AMFact: I can easily afford the extra top up, new way to fleece you expansion Fact: I won't be buying it Fact: I'll most likely be playing a different game when TTK drops

3 OdpowiedziI understand your point !! But if you think about it the other way let's say you buy some candy for the amount of 20$ you can only eat it one time then you can't eat it another time the only thing you can do is buy the same amount of candy but these cosmetic items will NEVER go away you can always use them so yeah it's not that bad.
-
7 OdpowiedziYou are buying into the exclusivity of the items, not just the items themselves as they, obviously, largely do nothing but look pretty. Well, that's the same as every single other cosmetic item in every other single game that offers them.
-
2 OdpowiedziI can justify 2.22 bucks per item, when I look at prices for such things in other games.
-
7 OdpowiedziThen don't buy it, simple as that. They are Collectors items and if you aren't into buying that kind of stuff then don't
-
3 OdpowiedziThey couldn't price it lower. $20 is essentially the cost to upgrade from the Legendary edition to the Collectors, meaning that the already established value of the collectors content was $20. All Bungie did was break that content into its own piece and sell it stand alone which is exactly what everyone wanted.
-
2 OdpowiedziI'll break it down for you at 2.22 an item that's cheaper than most leauge of legends champions, wow micro transactions, and most other mmo transactions. hell I've seen people spend up to 20 dollars on a skin in leauge 100 for a skin on counterstrike go. You know as well as I do those emotes will be used quite often. And it cost money to make.
