Oftentimes, when an atheist is asked why they don't believe in God, they say that it's because direct evidence doesn't (and can't) exist for him.
They use the fact that no proof exists as proof against God.
That is illogical and it goes both ways.
Proof against God existing is impossible and proof for God existing is impossible as he cannot be observed.
Therefore, everyone should treat him as a potential possibility.
Note: Just because something is possible doesn't mean that it deserves merit. It's possible that Nubbin is an alien in the disguise of a human but that hypothesis doesn't need to be believed just because it's a possibility.
Feel free to discuss down below.

1 OdpowiedźI take it you are an agnostic deist?
-
It's unnecessary to disprove that which has never been proven. We can believes the thousands of deities that have been believed in MAY be possible, just highly improbably and most likely incorrect.
-
79 OdpowiedziJust to clear this up if you are right than you believe in the Big Bang theory and there are so many flaws in that for example where did the gas come from to make the bang?
-
See the thing is if one takes the scientific approach then at some point evidence (true evidence not the bible is proof BS) will eventually happen. So far there has yet to be any proof siding with their being any God or higher being.
-
You could make the same assertion of any hypothetical. The only difference is that many people claim this particular hypothetical is the truth.

4 OdpowiedziLook up what faith means. You don't need freakin prof to believe in God, you need faith. That's the whole point.
-
1 OdpowiedźApatheticist. To maintain a mentality of apathy towards unanswerable and unsolvable questions. It is only logical as it seems every theory has a flaw and all faith is relative to personal emotions. I'm very curious about it, but the amount of care I have for these types of things is trivial. People dont seem to understand tolerance and respect for personal viewpoints. I respect you, and I won't even ask for it in return.

1 Odpowiedź"I find it incredibly disingenuous that some people who believe in a god will use their faith as the standard of proof for its existence, yet require rigorously tested scientific evidence for its non-existence. If faith is all it takes to prove a god exists, then faith is all it takes to prove that one doesn't." ~ Dazarobbo, The Ninja

3 OdpowiedziIf I believe you are an idiot and someone else thinks you are not do we just settle and say you are possibly an idiot?

I'm an atheist but I believe entirely on this line.. Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence

People want him to not exist because they are scared. They don't want to change their lives either.

Does God Exist?—Many Absolute Proofs! (Part 1): https://youtu.be/FbxD04LWW10

1 OdpowiedźThis goes both ways. There may not be proof that he exists, but there's no proof he doesn't exist either. It's all a matter or choice
-
Without proof nothing can be proven thus. You have no proof of your god, this he does not exist. If I'm wrong I go to hell and get to party with all the cool people. Either way I win :)
