3 Odpowiedzi9 months into this game and you still can't show your customers the respect they deserve? Guess what bungie, there are far too many incredible games coming out this fall for anyone to continue to deal with your BS practices. What happened to that developer that crafted the Halo series, who put fans first. Who actually communicated with and listened to fans. Your not the same developer anymore. You treat your fans like shit. It takes you months to acknowledge problems your fans beg you to fix. You all but laugh at us in your updates. Arrogant. That's how you come across to your fans. You've benefitted from little competition in the AAA game space since your initial release. Your times running out as your player base is going to have a lot more options in a few months.

This should come as no surprise. If I where to describe Destiny and Bungie's practices I would use this analogy. There is a thing called a Philippine Monkey Trap. It works like this, you take a jar, about the size of a mayonnaise jar were the throat of the jar is narrower than the rest of the jar. You put something shiny in it then fasten it to a tree, stake it in the ground, whatever just so it cannot be removed. Now you put something shiny in it,could be anything as long as it sparkles and leave it there. Now,later along comes a monkey,he sees the shiny, shiny sparkling in the jar and reaches into the jar to grab it but when he tries to remove the object of his desire his hand is stuck in the jar. He doesn't want to let go of his prize but he cannot get away from the jar unless he wants to let go of the shiny prize inside. Now the greedy monkey is trapped. Along comes the reality of his situation to bonk him on the head to be taken home for dinner. The end. How does this relate to Destiny and Bungie as well as other game developers. I'll tell ya,you see Destiny is the Jar. The DLC's and emotes and shaders the expansion pack are the shiny, shiny objects and the players are the greedy little monkeys who won't let go of there prize unto death. And Bungie is the reality of being bonked on the head over a sparkling bit of nothing. So now you have to decide,is the shiny prize, which gives nothing of substance worth holding onto, even though it is certain to bring nothing of tangible value worth a bonk on the head and being taken for a ride.

1 OdpowiedźAnd Luke Smith's "apology" the following week wasn't even an apology. He never apologized for anything, he only tried to justify calling their Gamers "ATM's"... Bungie has become such an example of corporate abuse... it's just disgusting.

6 OdpowiedziYou know, it really hurts me as a fan. You adore this world they are trying to create, and you support it, you go out there and pay top dollar for an unfinished product at day one, you pour your heart and time and bankroll into playing Destiny. You defend it to other people. You put up with the crazy price point for the DLCs and finally lose your mind at the E3 presentation where you are so excited for the future of this game. You think that maybe, just maybe, Bungie are going to get it right here and everyone will see what you have known all along, just how great destiny is going to be. Then the pricing happens. It's straight up disgusting to be exploited like this. What I hate the most is just how much I love this game and it's like I'm being discouraged from playing it anymore. It's abusive and irresponsible from Bungie to treat their long serving audience like dirt. I have lost significant respect for the faceless decision makers culpable in this fiasco. I'm not good enough with words to express just how deeply disappointed I am. It just sucks.

3 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika Xena: 6/23/2015 11:24:45 PMWhat people don't realize...WE were the targets for the collectors editions from the beginning. luke just clarified it. they were aiming towards people who valued those extras (which of course would be the veteran destiny players). Why would a newcomer value that gear? How could they value it when they have no gear to compare it to? Bungie has the stats...they can see how dedicated players are to the game. They've read the forums...they know the community has been asking for emotes. I'm sad that so many people bought the collectors editions already. Bungie has now been enabled to continue screwing over the community and I'm sure it will only get worse. As for the supposed extras being revealed for veteran players...I doubt it will be worth anyone's while. But hey, at least they will have the peace of mind saying, "we threw you guys a bone....sure it was trash, but can't say we didn't do anything for you." From someone who has supported you since Halo, someone who looked up to your quality games and encouraged others to support you...bungie, you are such a disappointment. You had a good thing going for you...but man, such a let down. I dont care what "Destiny" is in store for Bungie

3 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika HudsonV1: 6/23/2015 5:14:55 PMIf this guy genuinely thinks that a few select emotes would be enough for most players to "throw money" at Bungie, then I can't take anything he says about TTK as fact as he clearly overestimates how committed Destiny players are to the game and the companies that created and published it. He definitely would have been better off keeping his mouth shut than doing this interview. I was on the fence about buying TTK before and was leaning towards buying it, but my decision is pretty much final now. I don't want to support a company that so blatantly does not give a shit about providing what's best for their players, or what their players ask for. Thank you for deciding this for me, Luke Smith
