TTK prices interview by Eurogamer- Oh man, you guys may want to read this :/
Just read this interview done by Eurogamer and Luke Smith... I couldn't believe what I was reading. Eurogamer did a great job but the interviewee was horrible and arrogant.
Thoughts? Opinions??

Bump. It's a damn shame to see Activision bungie when most of us long term bungie fans, felt with a totally different side of them via Microsoft. I mean zero offense to this, but Playststion players, you have no clue if you never played the halo series. Bungie back then would have never done this, and it's sad to see it occurring now, to all of us as one community no matter what console we choose to play on. Activision is a money greedy company, who has been dishing out rehashed/ re-skinned CoDs for how many years now?! (See the pattern with Destiny) It's like most gamers don't see it when it's behind closed doors, but the signs are all out in the open. I'm not an angry destiny player, and I'm not quitting the game because of recent turn of events. I'm paying the money make from working 5-6 days a week to have fun with my friends and fellow destiny community. It does, however, suck to think its support for this to keep happening to all of us. I also get the business focus when needing to get the attention of new gamers, and bring them in with new things if you start now. But for day one players, why can't we have a bundle of TTK and the new items for say $50. Which is $10 more for the new items. That gives the $80 bundle for new players, $50 for the hardcore players since day one, or anytime between, and the $40 expansion only for players who just want to enjoy the game. With this said, after the interviews, I will not be buying the $80 edition, to use the extra money to support Activision's hungry tactic. I will simply buy all that's required to keep playing with the friends and family.

2 OdpowiedziI don't understand the complaints. Bungie would be foolish not to offer reduced pricing to prospective players they want to buy the game. Everyone's all pissy and I'm like "you've had access to Destiny for a year, a solid year before Joe new guy buys Destiny. You'll be so far ahead of the guy if you've played the game for any decent amount of time in terms of gear/exotics/knowledge, and you're pissed because Joe gets everything you did, in terms of content, a year later"? I don't get it. Don't even get me started on the experience boosts or exotics. It's like, to get them started. Every single MMO does this type of shit. I don't even know what you people are complaining about.

They know people want those emotes and exotics so they implement those in a more expensive bundle, so they can make more money in little stuff. Bungie, you are NOT doing it right. After reading this, I'm strongly considering on moving on with this cash grab BS you guys got going on. I love destiny but I don't like it when people try to take me for a fool. Especially, when it comes to money.

And apparently, TTK is valued at $40 all by itself, correct? So over $140. Then tell my why some bitçh niggà scrub who just decided to buy the game gets it all PLUS MORE for only $60. Evaluate that with your "dev team" bitçh, thanks for the loyalty to your paying customers who have been here since Day 1, I'll keep that in mind when I don't buy Taken King or anything else made by you and your people, if things don't change.

5 OdpowiedziI was considering buying the collectors just for the exclusive content. Not anymore after reading the interview. Luke smith came across as a money grabbing douchebag who couldn't care less about the players. I will be buying the dlc though. 19 OdpowiedziHere's a novel idea ... Instead of everyone making 10+ threads on this on the boards, try making a real difference that Bungie cares about. Try talking with your wallet. Don't preorder TTK. Don't buy the collectors edition or game of the year edition if you already own the DLCs - seriously, how many new players will buy all the content in a collectors edition vs current players buying TTK. They make most of their money from current players wanting cool sparrows or cool emotes, not from a new player buying a $80 full content version. If we know anything about corporations and large business, it's that they don't make changes unless they HAVE to. Comment boards don't motivate them to stop being greedy and to think about their current customer base. Not giving them extra money or upfront money would motivate them. Instead, preorders are selling out. Simple supply and demand - so they will charge what they want, and most will continue to hand over their money, perpetuating the cycle.

This remind me off something oh yeah when xbox got people angry at e3 when they reveal the console and got such a bad lash from us the fan for there bullshit and now with the tail between there legs are doing everything they can to gain there all fans back. It's a weird interview. Smith comes off pretty poorly, but he also sounds like what he is, a PR guy (or a guy forced into that position) trying to sell a product. So in that light nothing he's saying is particularly surprising. What was weird is that he seems like he doesn't quite understand the questions being asked. or (more likely) he understands them but is trying not to answer them. I think it's also possible that the interviewer re-wrote some of their questions and answers after the fact. This is a common practice. It's usually done for clarity and context, but it's also sometimes done to make the person being interviewed look bad. I'm not saying that's what happened here, but the whole interview reads weird to me. Anyway... I do think that the way this expansion was packaged was pretty weird. I don't particularly think it's a slap in the face, the end of the world, or something worth quitting the game over, but it seems like those are all popular opinions. I would have liked to get my hands on some of the stuff from the collectors edition, but none of it justifies an $80 purchase, especially when that purchase includes stuff I already bought), so I can live without it.
