Explain how thorn is not over powered
Only hand cannon that can guarantee a 2 shot kill. Every other HC needs luck in the chamber to do it.
If you kill the scrub using it the poison still kills you which is just stupid.
*waits for scrubs that rely on this crutch to cry*
*Edit - why don't you scrubs answer how it's not over powered instead of throwing your toys out like babies?

I have read most of these posts and I personally think that thorn is op if you know how to use it. That said I also think that the game called destiny gets really boring and frustrating when all I see is thorn. No one I, the game is using any other guns. No one is challenging them selves to something new, because of the fact that Thorn is the easiest gun to use in the game. I'm not putting down any one who uses thorn(good for you) but if it is the only gun 80% of people use in Destiny then the game gets boring and not fun for the players that want to use different guns that arnt as powerful as the so called thorn. I agree that there are weapons such as the last word, red death, and other guns that can match it but do you see 80 % of the destiny population using the other guns.....No you do not. It is not just the gun it's the stubborn people that are not subject to change. If you are going to make a gun like thorn and make only a hand full of other guns just as good well then you got to make thorn harder to get. The game isnt fun when you come across a full team of thorns shooting you, because you die in under a second and you can't do any thing about it. So yes I believe if every one is going to have thorn then it better be nerfed.

If you constantly make fun of Thorn users but you're sitting there using hawkmoon/TLW, then be quiet. I used to use Thorn constantly but I switched because I didn't want to be the dbag using Thorn. Now I use TLW, Hawkmoon, Red Hand IX(older version check my Titan...godly roll) and Spare Change. I found that these weapons can match Thorn in every way. P.S. I'm not hating on Thorn, I think it's powerful but not too powerful.

2 OdpowiedziI guess everyone who uses thorn forgets how everyone used to play with suros and how auto rifles were the most used pvp weapon.... Thorn will be nerfed, possibly TLW as well. It's going to happen.

The Thorn is from the Golden Age when everyone was the shit. You didn't even have to wipe using a Golden Age toilet and there was no bidet...just three sea shells. The Thorn kicked as during the Golden Age, but so did Guardians so the Mark of the Devourer rounds were more of a nuisance than a burden. Was a Thorn an exotic weapon in the Golden Age? It might have been legendary, but it was no exotic. So Thorn isn't overpowered...we are just underpowered.

11 OdpowiedziI think it was planet destiny that had this article on thorn.... it said the win rate of people using thorn in ToO is only 50% or so... btw im not defending it i never use it... im just throwing this out there to show its not the god everyone thinks it is.

The messenger is a way better gun and can two burst a thorn noob. Guns garbage and a crutch for un skilled players. I only pull it out if the whole other team is running thorns, sometimes not even. It's subs boring weapon to use and I'd rather test my skills with a more challenging weapon.

If it can be beat it's not overpowered. It is considered op but if you can beat the weapon with other weapons than it shouldn't matter.

Anyone can earn a thorn by doing exotic bounty. Everyone who complains about it only has themselves to blame. If everyone used it bungie would take a stronger look at it.

4 OdpowiedziMessenger has about the same ttk if you body then head or 2 head burst. Where is everyone complaining that the Messenger is too OP? Oh wait, not everyone has access to it… That's prolly because the only people with it have to actually be good at crucible. Didn't realize that Thorn automatically makes someone godly at crucible. If you're getting killed by people yang Thorn, maybe you should reevaluate your own play style and ability before opening your dick hole of a mouth. :)

10 OdpowiedziHow is thorn NOT over powered? Because it's a solid, well rounded weapon. A weapon that you have to go through hell to get. High risk, high reward? Isn't that what you wanted, a game that rewards you based on you? A good Gun in the hands of a good player doesn't make it over powered. You need to just get better at the game. I don't care what your kill/death says. You aren't good at a shooter if you complain about the guns in the game. Go back to call of duty. Destiny is where Legends are made. And I don't want to see the legend of a baby be brought into this game. Because I'll paint the walls of the crucible with that baby's brain. Using my thorn.

I like my Thorn but its def. OP. Would be nice to play a trials card with people that use a variety of weapons. Nope. Same tunnel. Same gun (thorns) oh and throw in some shotguns with too much range.
