This isn't a complaint, just a personal observation. I don't know about everyone else, but for me (on x360), I've been facing more challenging people each week. Still not a problem, my team and I still go flawless, but on the first week, literally half of our games were against underlevered characters that we could one-shot without final round using a high impact sniper. The second week was still very easy, just minus the lv30's. But the past 2 weeks, almost every game was against other flawless groups. They cost us our mercy boons every once in a while, but we've went from 5-0ing almost every game to 5-4's or very close games now.
Did they change anything in the matchmaking process? Maybe all of the "noobs" just gave up on doing trials? Once again, this is a question, not a complaint, just wanted to see if everyone else was getting matched against more adept opponents as the weeks go by.
EDIT: Looks like lots of people are noticing similar things. It would make sense that most people either got better through experience or just gave up and stopped playing trials.

they should of just left the map on burning shrine, mercury pretty much the best map due to the rotating cover
-
Lol not hard i went to the lighthouse on all three characters this week probably the easiest yet.
-
I hate this map for trials. It's way to closed and you can easy get stock on a rock. Went 3-3 Hope next week map is bigger so that I can finally get to 5 wins.
-
No this week is a lot of fun much better map than cauldron and pantheon
-
On top of the bad players giving up on ToO, more players are finding long term teams to play in and getting more practiced. With this, even mediocre players in a well coordinated team can put up a fight. That being said, Friday is a bad day for Trials.
-
I feel the same way, yo. Going flawless is still doable, but it seems like hella more challenging players are entering the fray.
-
1 OdpowiedźHad a feeling this would happen. Week one is the easiest because all the pve guys want the pvp loot then eventually they will stop trying week after week
-
Hmm. It's my third week of trials and we finally made lighthouse. Granted we only tried once every weekend but I guess you could just chalk that up to getting better at it. Can't say.

Edytowany przez użytkownika ThatVenomousCat: 6/22/2015 5:19:59 AMit is. each week litle by little people are quittting/giving up and only the really good players are continuing. therefote here we have the trials of osiris in the state it was predicying to become eventually. this is better explaoned by Deftlonewolf's comment under my comment

No the maps just get worse and worse. But really it is getting harder because people are getting better in terms of gun skill and just the weapons they use in general.
-
Nope it is.
-
Suppose to be hard. Not given to you or made for one person to cheese people through like a raid.

1 OdpowiedźWhat happened is that the core players stopped trying because they were too frequently matched against flawless teams, I am more than likely going to join them and stop playing trials because of the huge difference in player skill (plus there are still lag switchers (its gotten worse despite evidence its gotten better its even happening in normal crucible matches now) ), the rewards just aren't really worth it, at first all I wanted was the trials armor cause it looked cool then I got to thinking I don't really care about the armor anymore or any of the other drops for that matter, the only thing I actually really want is the exotic scout rifle because it looks good and has good stats and perks. I sort of want the messenger but I don't really care because pulse rifles as a rule suck because they suffer from ammo issues and the reload is too long to justify using them even in PVE.
-
You mean try-harder I think.
-
It's getting easier for me lol
-
It is because the maps are getting more shitty and more people are realizing that you have to use Thorn, TLW, Hawkmoon, Red Death, Mythoclast, ect.
-
Teams are bringing in better gear that they have earned every weak. They are also learning about how important reviving teammates and staying as a group is so yes i would say it is getting more difficult.
-
Harder not really. Laggier most definitely. I always know when I see a team populated with Juans and Pablo's and guilds like AZTECAS or BRASILIO that people will be glitching all over the map and half the time immune to bullets. Makes me wish I could apply regional filters. Never really have this problem with European or Aussie teams just for some reason the laggy ass Latin American and South Americans.

I think it's more of a natural progression. When stuff is new people will fumble around to figure it out. If it's right for them or not. The longer it's available to play will allow the old adage practice makes perfect. Bungie has some sort of matchmaking system in place so that'll get better in time. The change in maps works to people's strengths and weaknesses. Posts on the internet on tips and strategies as well. Didn't Bungie make elimination game mode permanent? That'll help with the practice part a lot. So yeah it should be getting more difficult.
-
I went 9-0 first passage friday, ever since then it's been sweaty as -blam!-.
-
Their matchmaking sucks. I played ToO for the first time this weekend with a couple of people and we got matched to Lighthouse people. Like they should base matchmaking on ToO experience.
-
Naah. It's just we've had a vast change in map types that fit different playstyles. This map in particular Involves a lot of shotguns.

Edytowany przez użytkownika YahyaTV: 6/21/2015 11:04:35 PMThe % of quality players is greater now. In week 1 everyone had hood dreams of making it to the LH, half of these have given up, of the remaining half, probably split between people who always make it to LH and people who have made it sometimes or been quite close.

No not really. Me and my guys play every week and we just adapt. If our first tactic doesn't work, switch it up. If they are all snipers, close the gap with shotguns, if there all shotguns, hang back. Works a charm.
-
Yes because all the people who realize thy won't make it stopped playing and now it's all the pros
