This isn't a complaint, just a personal observation. I don't know about everyone else, but for me (on x360), I've been facing more challenging people each week. Still not a problem, my team and I still go flawless, but on the first week, literally half of our games were against underlevered characters that we could one-shot without final round using a high impact sniper. The second week was still very easy, just minus the lv30's. But the past 2 weeks, almost every game was against other flawless groups. They cost us our mercy boons every once in a while, but we've went from 5-0ing almost every game to 5-4's or very close games now.
Did they change anything in the matchmaking process? Maybe all of the "noobs" just gave up on doing trials? Once again, this is a question, not a complaint, just wanted to see if everyone else was getting matched against more adept opponents as the weeks go by.
EDIT: Looks like lots of people are noticing similar things. It would make sense that most people either got better through experience or just gave up and stopped playing trials.

People are getting better and the player base for trials smaller. I am still going flawless but like you said the games are alot closer. Also people arent backing out now so they have to play with their balls out against every group, which is great. The thing I like most is when my group is comfortable playing and we come up against a full flawless emblemed team I can instantly tell they are an LFG group. We destroy them and in the 3rd or 4th round someone on their team leaves.

7 OdpowiedziWell... Thieves' Den is the worst map for Trials. This weekend was especially hard!
-
I noticed that. Flawlessed all 3 on week 1 but last week I tried and it was a lot harder. Maybe it's cause The Burning Shrine is my shît haha

1 OdpowiedźStop complaining Yes there getting harder. People are getting better at them. Moron!!!
-
Endgame PvP Best of the Best Of course it's going to be hard
-
I think people who weren't that good either gave up because they were tired of being punching bags or they got better.
-
I think because week one barely many people were rank 34, and not many people knew the thorn was powerful however as time has gone by people have levelled up and used thorn more and more.

4 OdpowiedziFeels the other way around actually. Made a new warlock..entered trials as a lvl30, went flawless first try with an average 2.0kd.

It's the natural progression dictated by the rules of the game. 1. Easy to start because everyone regardless of skill level, gear or light level decided to try it. Those that were under geared and/or under leveled dropped out quickly. Those that lacked the skill stuck around a bit longer, but even they come to the rational conclusion soon enough. The fact it is getting harder is a sign that the playing pool for that game type is shrinking. Probably very quickly if it has been noticeable to those playing every week. Source: I'm the type that quite playing due to skill level not being high enough. So I have no idea if it has gotten harder over time. Just rational conclusions based on what the OP has stated.

This game defiantly needs to match people with there skill.. there is really no point in playing online unless you are a level 33 or higher
-
People are getting better and better People who are bad are not doing it And the people like triple wreck and ms 5000 watts are doing it every week So ya it is getting harder
-
It got much harder, the first two weeks it was always 5-0 wins. Now a lot of matches end up with 5-3 or 5-4 with some draws. You are right when you say less people play it now. Last trials I've got paired up against the same fireteam 3 times in a row lol.

1 OdpowiedźThe amount of lag switchers and overall cheaters increase with every week. Bungie's lack of action against cheaters makes trials an extremely frustrating experience.
-
I had not experience with thieves den at all so it was a shit show

2 OdpowiedziMy friends and i quit trials Too many lag switchers
-
Actually got my first flawless this week. Map matters a lot
-
Every week brings less casual folks looking to get armor and such... Like myself after I acquired the helm. So the Flawless teams are becoming a greater majority... And bringing a higher chance of being paired against them.
-
matchmaking is random. So you just had a few unlucky match ups. Also having that emblem doesn't mean they are good. I have looked up stats on my friends list of PVEers that I refuse to PVP with who have the emblem and they got by with a mediocre 1.0 k/d It is possible to match up with less PVP skilled players 7 times in a row.
-
gets harder every week cause the maps get more shotgun/thorn based every week
-
To get rid of the weak
-
The last two maps are cqc shotgun/gernade spam fest. Less skill required for kills vs sniping (non final round) and closing distance for kills.

Edytowany przez użytkownika Gaunjafarmer: 6/23/2015 5:40:53 PMI find it's gotten easier I wasn't able to get a win week one week two got 5 since then 9 wins consistently but never flawless

All the people that suck at it don't like it and simply don't play. That leaves more good teams than bad.
