I've been a fan of Bungie since the release of [b]Halo: CE[/b], but they're now showing that they just want money. What happened? Greed. We all questioned 343 Industries' capabilities to handle the [b]Halo[/b] franchise. Seems they're going to be just fine though. [u][i][b]EDIT[/b][/i][/u] I was kinda excited about getting the shader, sparrow, and emblem. Until I read that you not only have to be a "Year 1" player. But you have to buy [b]The Taken King[/b].

The only way this will be applicable to vets, is if these exotic emblems and the xp boost they grant can still be used once newbs have levelled up. If that's the case we should get them if not then it doesn't matter and everyone should calm down.

Meh. The game was worth the sixty bucks. I've spent good money on steam to buy games I've still never played once. I admit that I did get suckered into the season pass, but the time I got (and still get) out of it playing with friends made up for it. House of Wolves was worth it on its own even if I don't play as much as I used to. The Dark Below was undeniable garbage though. Taken King? That stormcaller looks enticing. Mayhem mode looks fun as hell. And it appears that it might shape up to be a proper dlc. Will I buy it, though? Probably not right away. I'll let the community get a feel for it before I make that decision. Bungie may have grappled me in after the wildly entertaining Halo franchise, but Destiny seems to favor market strategy over game quality. For that, they are losing their grip on me. But Destiny still beats many, many other cheap money grab games. Looking at you, DayZ, and freemiums.

The veteran shader is the all black shader THAT ALMOST EVERYONE HAS BEEN ASKING FOR SINCE DAY 1. Also, we know nothing about the sparrow or emblem yet, so again, maybe we should wait to see what is what. The collector shaders are crappy. One is all purple, one is all brown (same color as most of the ships that people complained about being shit colored), and one is all grey. None of which anyone has asked for. The class items are also horrid looking, and really, they only reason anyway anyone would use them is purely for the XP effect. It's not a slap in the face it's just giving newbies a way to catch up to everyone else. These people will be working on their first and second subclasses well after we are done with out thirds. Plus, there are a ton of weapons and armor they will have to obtain that we have a huge head start over them on. Most people that love the game are going to pay for it regardless of because the PHYSICAL MERCHANDISE means more to them than the digital. The only people who are so worried about this are sadly spoiled, self-entitled, self-absored children who think they deserve everything little thing. Seriously, the people complaining about this are literately acting like Bungie is taking 2/3rds of The Taken King's content and only giving it to new players, and that is what is truly brainless and moronic about it all.

I have played since second 1, of minute 1, of hour 1, of day 1, of month 1, of year 1. I wanted it first. You wanted it first. So instead of waiting a year to spend $60, you, like i, spent the money to have it first, and in turn we did so with an understanding that we would be paying more to have it first. That is what a Day 1 player does. We spend the extra money to have it first. If you have somehow forgot that fact, then I have to ask: why do you even play new games? It is our choice to spend more. If you don't want to, then don't be a day 1 player. If you want to be a day 1 player then sack up and eat the bill. You want to be the power house to the noobs, it doesn't come from waiting, or cheap. Bungie didn't have to give us a damn thing for being day 1 players, but they did. You can call it shit, but I call it "bungle didnt forget about my effort" You wanna be a day 1 player, then act like it. We pay more, we play more, we raid more. Stop the bitching and play or wait and cry about not spending more to have it early.

Don't forget about Activision / Bungie taking Sony's free money and giving PS players more content. This isn't the Bungie of old. I don't even think Bungie remembers why they left Microsoft. They didn't want Microsoft controlling them, how they marketed games, they didn't want to pinch pennies, they didn't want Microsoft to determine how the interacted with their fans..... so Bungie became its own entity. Hey Bungie! Did you forget all of the reasons why you left Microsoft? Because it seems you teamed up with Activision for the same reasons you left! Destiny is marketed and advertised the same way as the COD series. And if you think Deej is a good foreman for the community, then you are wrong. I moderate multiple message boards for gaming communities through IP Board and vBulletin, it's not that difficult to simmer the crowd. It takes interaction. There is no moderator interaction on these boards (there's a ninja crew that moderates about as much as a treasure key dropping in PoE). Bungie has fallen back to their Microsoft days. We can enjoy the next 9 years as sheep for Activision or simply find a new game.

If our new guardian friends do that then they still have to find those weapons that we all covet. Secondly. The weapons themselves give XP bonus. That is all that has been said about them. Are you that entitled that you can't live without something which to all intents and purposes might be a load of crock? Tell me the last time you used NLB in 35 poe and I'll believe that you desperately need those new exotics. So take a step back. Enjoy the game for what it is or get out and stop wasting server space.

Bungie/CRAPtivision are exactly what's wrong with this industry. All they care about is money while claiming to care about the end user experience - LIES. Cut content, overhyped, bait-n-switch, and now this...nah I'm good. You morons can keep feeding the pig if you want but I'm over it. Bungie doesn't care about you, they don't care about your experience or how much you enjoy the game. They care about getting you hyped up to spend money on recycled content. I'd rather they release a game once every year or two rather than cutting it into pieces and selling it over time. This is madness and they have to be stopped. For all of you that have pre-ordered you're just fueling the flames and you're also a huge part of the problem. You're basically rewarding Bungie or treating us like idiots and saying 'hey it's ok if you want to ruin this game and overcharge me, I don't care' but you should. I not gonna complain about the price or how the editions are releasing its about the principle that these are shady business tactics and by pre-ordering you're basically saying it's ok for the gaming industry to -blam!- you in the ass and you'll keep coming back for more. We as consumers have to break this cycle by not buying into it. By telling these asshole companies we aren't money pits they can keep pulling cash out of for sub-par, shitty content and games. Just think about it - you don't tip a terrible server, you don't pay for a terrible haircut, why pay for a terrible game content??? Fvck em', maybe they'll get it right by destiny 2....but probably not.

Is this not what every game has done? World of Warcraft players had to pay for countless expansions, Pokemon games come out on a yearly basis and are the same concept, just different pokemon, Call of Duty games come out yearly and are always the exact same from past ones, etc., list goes on. This isn't something new or different, this is something that has always been done. Furthermore, this is an expansion, not Destiny 2. That means you're paying for a whole new add-on to the game, not just a DLC, a ton of new content, basically an entire new game itself, so $40 is reasonable considering all large scale games like CoD, GTA, Destiny, Halo, etc. are $60. The higher tiered pre-orders are also reasonable. They're bundle packs for players who have yet to even buy Destiny, so rather than spending $100+ for Destiny and the expansion, The Taken King, they can instead spend $60-80 for both. However, considering every game company adds in Legendary or high tiered collectible editions, doing simply a combo pack would be bad for players who already own Destiny, so how do they enhance? Add collectibles! So $80 gets you Destiny ($60), The Taken King ($40), both DLC ($35 as bundle, $40 without), unique in game content that doesn't give players an upper hand over others (shaders, sparrows, class items), collectible game case, Strange Coin model, etc. That's an entire bundle pack that is worth over $140, excluding all the in-game content and collectibles, all for $80 instead. Even if you take out the Destiny game and DLC, that's $40/$80 which excludes all the collectibles and game content. I honestly don't see how Bungie is ripping you off. You're simply complaining because you want to.

4 OdpowiedziWhen companies want to sell more units, they offer incentives be it extra content or price drops. To bungie/activision or any other major company it's about moving units first and foremost, consumer loyality takes a back seat. Without sales,employees don't get paid and in the case of video games content doesn't get made. Consoles list prices drop all the time, bundle deals hit shelves. Cars depreciate in value and are sold cheaper with electronic navs and windows included with the base price. It sucks man, but it all boils down to one thing. No one works for free, no matter how much they appreciate you.

1 OdpowiedźLet's see if I for into this: 1) didn't know about the game either e3's heard in passing and tried the beta. Really like the beta so bought the game and expansion. So had no high hopes or standards to be "disappointed" 2) already paid for the expansion but -blam!- it. In the past now no use crying over spilled milk. Game is still addicting and getting more than my dollars worth. This new outrage from day one players is spark from two simple things. Jealously and entitlement. But over what? Vanity items. I mean a lot you always want to feel special but come on. Seriously grow up we are adults. If this is that much of a problem you have two choices. You can buy the damn collection to feel special or don't and move on. No one is holding a gun to either of our heads and saying we need to buy all this stuff. Nothing is more smart than you "intellectuals" who constantly point out they are being rip off since this games conception to each and every add-on and still pay the people who you claims to swindle you. The stupidity is thick with you individuals.
