So Apparently Us Loyal players have to buy content we already own to get exclusive items
If you didn't already know, the collectors edition of the taken king expansion includes 3 exotic class items which give an XP BONUS 3 new emotes and other benefits.
On top of that it includes multiple physical trinkets to add to your collection.
This sounds great at first, but one part does not. This edition also includes the BASE GAME, AND ALL 3 dlcs. This means that if a veteran player wants the full experience they must waste over $40 on content they ALREADY OWN!! I would happily give Bungie my money for just the trinkets and in-game benefits, but buying content I already own is taking it too far.
In order to fix this, Bungie MUST release a version of this that doesn't include the things we already purchased. If YOU want this to happen, bump this post to the top of the forums and let them know what we, the players, think of their money grabbing scheme.
Additionally, I just realized that the edition with the physical stuff is NEXT GEN ONLY!! Why would they do this? Why not give the ps3 and 360 players the trinkets as well? There is no reason not to, other than to make money. Last gen players' only option is to buy ONLY the digital content for the SAME PRICE!! Lame.

Yea.., this was a stupid move from bungie..., they need to add a second collectors version of it without the first two expansion and base game.

I agree, I am literally looking for all these posts and bumping them. I want Bungie to acknowledge this and allow us to buy the Taken King with the 3 new emotes, 3 shaders and class items for like $50. It's a fair option for Day 1 players to get all the new content for a fair price

1 OdpowiedźAgreed. I purchased the Limited Edition at launch which came with the Expansion Pass. I would gladly purchase the New Collectors Edition if it didn't come with half of what I already purchased. Would love to have that strange coin!

I agree. For the people that have already spent 40$ on the season pass shouldn't have to spend another 40$ for just one expansion so that's 140$ that we will have had to spend just to enjoy the game 60 for the game and 80 for the dlcs. My opinion is this is bs. If they are gonna charge for dlc that was already suppossed to be given with the season pass they should droo the price for season pass holders down to like 15 $. Who else agrees with this?

Seriously you guys don't think the taken king looks awesome? I don't need trinkets I want to kill oryx in an awesome fight. That is worth 40 bucks to me.

You're gonna continue playing the game, purchase any further expansions, and within a few hours of playing TTK you will already have forgotten about it. Yeah I get it, Bungie is going to give extra things out for those who are willing to pay for it. And more than likely I will own two destiny discs with the purchase of the collector edition. But no, you want to stand out. You want to be unique. If you're on next gen console, then chances are you have some sort of income that can afford you the expansion. Don't want to pay for it? Sure just pay the $40 and download your stuff. You want the strange coin? The Hunter book? The weapon schematic? Pay for it. Can we move on?

I want the replica strange coin and other items ofcourse, but I'm not buying the game and dlc 1+2 again for them. Needs to be just expansion 3 + extras if you want.
