So Apparently Us Loyal players have to buy content we already own to get exclusive items
If you didn't already know, the collectors edition of the taken king expansion includes 3 exotic class items which give an XP BONUS 3 new emotes and other benefits.
On top of that it includes multiple physical trinkets to add to your collection.
This sounds great at first, but one part does not. This edition also includes the BASE GAME, AND ALL 3 dlcs. This means that if a veteran player wants the full experience they must waste over $40 on content they ALREADY OWN!! I would happily give Bungie my money for just the trinkets and in-game benefits, but buying content I already own is taking it too far.
In order to fix this, Bungie MUST release a version of this that doesn't include the things we already purchased. If YOU want this to happen, bump this post to the top of the forums and let them know what we, the players, think of their money grabbing scheme.
Additionally, I just realized that the edition with the physical stuff is NEXT GEN ONLY!! Why would they do this? Why not give the ps3 and 360 players the trinkets as well? There is no reason not to, other than to make money. Last gen players' only option is to buy ONLY the digital content for the SAME PRICE!! Lame.

I'm just going to buy it for the code and items. Give the dlc and such to anyone, maybe even donate it on here to someone who can't afford it.

Op if you read about Taken King from Bungie it lists some exclusive items as well as stating there will be more at launch.

4 OdpowiedziThe reason the old gen isn't getting the physical goodies is because the old gen needs to die out. It's had it's time. Sony, Microsoft, Bungie, and probably every other developer out there are most likely going to start bringing out incentives for the last few cross-gen games and content they release from here on out. I enjoyed my 360 immensely (still do), but it's time they stopped holding the current gen back. As for the "un-bundled" Taken King? Agreed, and I have little doubt that it will happen. Probably just an oversight by Bungie. It happens.

1 OdpowiedźI could honestly care less about the discounted cost of entry for new guardians; but there must be a path for an existing customer to get the exclusives. But, what do I know? I'm an Xbox player, and therefore a tier 2 Destiny player in Bungie's implied estimation. :-)
